I am fairly new to this area and was needing some alterations prior to a cruise. I took in 2 pair of shorts, a sweater, and a couple of pairs of pants. I was charged a little less than $150 to take up everything which I thought was quite pricey being their sign says 5.99. I tried them all on and the lady pinned them. I paid up front and my husband picked them up the day we were packing because of our tight schedule. I threw the shorts in my suitcase and took off for my cruise. When I went to wear a pair, I put them on but absolutely nothing has been done but all of the pins had been taken out. They were unwearable...both pairs. This place is not a place of integrity and I do not recommend using them for 2 reasons....they are untrustworthy and waaaaaaay too expensive. read more

$5.99 Alterations - I rarely leave a bad review for anyone, but this is the second time I've felt cheated and misled by this place and feel like I need to warn people. The reason I stopped in was because of the sign "$5.99 Alterations." However, NO SERVICE THEY OFFER IS $5.99. When I asked the lady (after she quoted me the $91 price tag for hemming pants), she said "The sign company made a mistake in the name and we never fixed it." Not sure if I believe that because it sounds ridiculous. But both times I went in the price was 10x what I thought it would be for simple hemming pants. The lady does decent work, but I just felt cheated both times. And, they make you pay in advance, so you either like it or you are out of luck. I will get my sewing machine fixed and do my own alterations from now on. read more

I rarely need to use a dry cleaner or go somewhere for Alterations. When I needed my wedding dress taken in within less than 2 weeks until the I Do date!! She came through for me. Fast, beautiful seamstress and even added custom belt and straps to my dress. Very impressed with her ability to go with the flow and Be so fast and Efficient! Easy location to get to, gps took me to the correct side but I passed it and tried to get there from the backside so don't do what I did. Thank you for helping me when I needed help! read more

WOSTE PLACE EVER!!!! WARNING!!!! Took a brand new pair of 7 jeans (tags still attached) to be hemmed... she pinned the length and hemmed it about 5" too short!!!! Worse experience ever!! My jeans are trash now!!! And she doess not take responsibility. Instead claims that my wife went into the changing room with me and rearraanged her pins! I was recommended this place by my mom. I brought in 4 pairs of pants thinking each alteration would be 5.99 however each pant averaged out to about $20. I was taken aback when she said $92 dollars. However when I received my pants I realized it was worth every last cent. Yes I could have went and got it done cheaper or bought a sewing machine for the same price, but I would not have been able to replicate the amazing tailoring she did. Her seems were actually better than the original. I don't regret coming here what so ever. I would recommend anyone to come here. She was super nice and worth every cent. I do however think the signage should be taken down because it is deceiving. read more

We had two formal dresses altered and she did a great job. The dresses are heavy, one has very small straps, she cut off the hanger ribbons inside and now my dresses won't stay on the hanger. Great job hemming but now my dress in a pile on the floor because the fabric is too delicate to use a pants hanger. I would go to her again but I would request she do not cut hanger ribbons they are there for a reason . read more

In an alteration emergency i came here. The day of Oktoberfest was the same day my dirndl came in the mail. It was too small and the zipper on the side left about 3 inches of skin exposed. I thought I might as well try getting it tailored. She tailored this dress in about 3 hours and it looked so perfect. The day was completely saved and I am very grateful. The owner was the sweetest! I had just received a dress in the mail that day for a wedding the following day, and of course it was too long. I went to 5.99 Alterations and the owner was nice enough to have my dress ready by the next day (during peak prom and wedding season), and the work was actually nicer than the original.
