There's a gate with no fence so anyone can walk in, and the cameras are so the owner can watch his park renters not trespassers. We had to leave early for rv repairs and they are the only park in the 8 years we've been traveling that doesn't pro-rate your stay and give a refund for days not used. Not too mention calling this an RV park is a stretch.. it's more like you're parked in the owners front yard- and he watches you like it's his front yard too. We were so tightly squeezed into our spot that when we opened our awning it was laying on top of the camper beside us. Absolute nightmare of a place to stay- seriously do NOT waste your money. He says no visitors are allowed and if you have visitors you have to text or call him first- I'm sorry? What? Again he treats the "rv park" like it's his private front yard and not like you're paying hundreds of dollars to stay. Over priced!!! We moved to another park with the exact same monthly rent and we have an entire half acre to ourselves!

The nightly rates advertised aren't as low as they actually turn out to be which is unfortunately very common. It ended up being about $90/night for an rv spot. There's also volleyball courts, ping pong etc. plenty of things to do. They do Friday movie nights at the pool for kids. Great place. We had an ant issue and they ended up getting into our rv and we lost some food over it. My kids got bit a few times as well, because the ants got in their clothes. We found the ants crawling up our extension cord and into the rv. I put in two maintenance requests about it but never heard back so I bought some ant killer and solved it myself.

Standing there and experiencing "cave rain," taught me a lot about the environment and understanding how our actions above affect our drinking water down below. We just booked the basic cave tour, but apparently there were a couple of other routes we could have tried which explored the cave more in depth. Overall, I had a lovely time and would recommend this to anyone--but I do believe that people with an affinity for science and the natural world would enjoy this experience much more. The only thing I must warn you of is that the cave is very high in humidity, which can be uncomfortable.

Dumpsters constantly overflowing and not emptied on a regular basis. Grass is cut when it gets knee-high. Lots of rules, but only certain people are required to follow the rules. Some examples of this are no window unit AC's are allowed in your RV (numerous RV's have them) you can have a storage shed, but it must be wood only (there were lots of residents with plastic & metal sheds. Save yourself the heartache and misery and just go down the road. There are tons of other RV parks that are clean and not so TRASHY!!!

Margie has been super nice and helpful with everything, from check in to referring businesses like propane refills, hardware stores and grocery stores. Very efficient with emails and communicating with the park when needed. I'm a traveling healthcare worker, which is why I'm leaving, but when I am back in the area, Rising Spirit will be first on the list! They have mailboxes, 4 washers and 4 dryers. A shower and toilet, Soda machine, ice and water machine, grassy areas, a dog park. The grounds are nicely kept. Everyone living here, that I have interacted with, has been very friendly.

It's a well-maintained, age 55+ property, so there were never any kids yelling or loud music blaring. It is also gated at night, and as a single female, I felt very safe there. The park is out in the country, so it is very quiet - the only sound being a rooster occasionally crowing, which was quaint. The property managers, Greg and Amy, were amazing. When I had issues, they were always available to help, even when they were off duty. The on-site shower/restroom, laundry room, and community room are always clean and inviting. The neighbors are all very friendly, and there is a large dog park your fur babies. When I moved out, they refunded my deposits promptly and in full. If you're looking for a great RV park, and you're age 55+, Central RV Park at Parkside is the park for you! I would still be living there if it weren't for my job.
