I have been using concentrated chicken and beef stock for over a decade, but the brand that I used was acquired by another company and moved to commercial-only sales so I had to find a new stock concentrate; the one from Williams-Sonoma came up in my search. You can purchase online, but since there are a couple nearby and I was planning to use it in a few days I needed to head to the store. The Deer Park Town Center stores are easy to get to and find, as opposed to Oak Brook which can be a maze so I came to this store. As expected it was easy to find and parking was plentiful (which may be a function of having come here on a Thursday evening). The store is well kept and full of all kinds of goodies for one's home and kitchen. They have all the appliances open for touching and looking at, which I like, and has a major advantage over Amazon. I'll be looking for a new electric tea kettle soon and they have them here so I'll stop by to poke and prod. The staff member who helped me was friendly and it was easy and quick to pick up my item. When you order for in store pick-up you just need to show your ID, they bring out your item, and then you sign for confirmation of pickup. Easy peasy. read more

Love shopping at the Deer Park Store but today was not a good experience. I have the Williams Sonoma credit card and shopping around for a gift. In the past I have shipped from the store without a charge. Walking around with 2 items in my hand I wanted to verify if shipping was free. I asked the sales staff if there was a charge for shipping and she replied not if you have our credit card. Minutes later I was purchasing the items and was informed shipping was not free. No charge for shipping if you order on line. There was no misunderstanding!! The entire staff needs to be informed of the policies. read more

I could not have been more pleased with the service I received from Pat! She greeted me as I entered the store, gave me some time to look around, then asked me if I needed help. She was a Gem! I walked in to the store to purchase kitchenware. and saw the had free samples for "everyone" clearly that was a lie as a brown woman i immediately felt persecuted to go and try the samples as they immediately questioned if i was there to purchase as if they knew my financial situation i will never be shopping here again because of the critical customer service. After hearing the women say to "just here for samples, are you?" i felt questioned about my weight,race, and financial situation unbelievable! I will be taking my business elsewhere and believe everyone else should as well. read more

I love this location. I went to purchase a Breville espresso maker and Laura was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. A few days later I returned and Laura remembered me and while they didn't have what I was looking for, she offered to order it for me. In addition when I got the espresso maker I had mentioned I had hurt my back and she let me sit for almost the entire purchase and offered assistance with getting it to my vehicle. It really was a fantastic experience and I plan to return in the future when I need anything for my kitchen. read more

Terrible customer serivce at the Deer Park location as well as a poor example from the Manager Mellisa. The older lady behind the counter saved me from walking out by offering me hot coffee. Mellisa who is the manager kept eyeing me rudely from the time that I walked into the store, then when I walked past her at the counter she rudely said , " Can I help you" that is when the older lady intervened and asked me if I would like a cup of hot coffee. She was very sweet as well as the younger cashier. This manager sets a terrible example of customer service and piss poor example for her employees. I will most likely not recommend this location the service gives WS a bad name even though they have great products and branding. Corporate needs to do something about this. I wouldnt be suprised if the sales numbers for this store are low due to service. read more

I can't afford to shop at Williams Sonoma - but I LOVE their stuff. I like to go in here and see the great gadgets they have, and occasionally I'll buy a few cheap things - they've got some GREAT mixes and seasonings. My son loves the pretzel mix. I also bought a Breville hand mixer here that I love. They've got GREAT quality stuff. The employees are always super friendly and help you find what you're looking for. They've got a fair selection, and fair stock. I took one star off only due to the size. This store is so small, and it's a bitch to maneuver through here during busy shopping times. Williams Sonoma sells a set of 6 melamine mixing bowls that are not cheap & are very breakable. Do yourself a favor & find some from somewhere else that doesn't cost an arm & a leg that won't break. I called them both corporate & the store to get a replacement of one that broke in pieces & there is nothing they would do to help me out. The tops of the mixing bowls are not secure either so they all in all- not a good investment for any kitchen. read more

Went to complete an exchange in Deer Park. Blonde woman helping me told me three times she could resale the items. She was visibly bothered my request rolling her eyes and raising her brows at me. I wanted to exchange the hand soap and lotion - I know you cant resell it because I opened them - however the scent was horrible. I wanted to exchange them not a refund. She proceeded to share with me how it would hit their "numbers". I even offered to it in Lake forest where I purchased it! She had to call the manager for approval smh! Crazy to see a grown woman behind the counter with zero customer service skills and frankly zero people skills. read more

Not a lot of customer service at this place. Every time I come here, I'm rarely ever greeted by the snobby employees. They just sit there behind the registers and won't move to actually help anyone half of the time. The store itself actually has a good selection of products. Lots of stuff made in China unfortunately, but I'm happy to say that i can also find items here which are NOT made in countries with long range nuclear weapons directed at us. Brautiful store. If you have a unlimited budget its a cool place to stock ypur kitchen with. Online store has more variety then the actual store. There was one male worker didnt catch his name who made the shopping experience unpleasent he was a fake and snotty guy. Ended up spending 300.00, which might not get you all that far here. It's a specialty store that is not necessarily all that well stocked. Will shop in future online then in store. read more

My fiance and I went to this Williams-Sonoma store for our first wedding registry experience. They opened up early for us to come in, and we were able to walk around with Mark - who gave us so much information about all of the products! My fiance and I don't like shopping and know next to nothing about wedding registries/kitchen stuff. Mark was so knowledgeable! He made shopping for things fun. He got to know us as a couple and steered us in the right direction. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Williams-Sonoma has some great products - and I love that everything is not cookie-cutter, typical things you find everywhere. You know if you are getting something there - it is good quality. While we were there, they also had a cooking demonstration going on which was fun to see (and the bacon smelled great!!). Thanks again, Mark, for such a wonderful experience! Went here on a busy Sunday to finish purchasing items from our wedding registry and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Mark, the store manager, spent so much time with us making sure the transaction went through without any glitches. He spent hours with us and had such a great attitude through the long and arduous process. He tracked down each and every item and triple checked to make sure we were getting the best deal when it was time to checkout. He then spent time packing all of our very fragile plates/bowls/cups/saucers/you name it. It could have been such a stressful situation but he made it easy! I'll be back! read more

I love Williams Sonoma, but I DREAD shopping at this particular store. I am always disappointed by the snobby attitude by the saleswomen at this location. They seem very aloof and often times irritated by your presence when asked a question. I even considered that maybe it's because I am a minority and most of the women that shop and work there are caucasian. I think I'll just drive the extra distance and shop at the Old Orchard location or shop online. William Sonoma should have the quality of service by their sales associates match the quality of their products.... read more

First off, I need to say that I LOVE Williams-Sonoma. I cook and bake quite a bit, and they have an amazing selection of most anything a cook could ever want. Unfortunately I get extremely poor customer service whenever I shop here, which is frequently since I manage a retail store located in the same mall. No one ever greets me when I walk in, or even makes eye contact when I am browsing. The boyfriend and I were in the market for a juicer and visited WS twice last week to check out the one Breville model they had in stock and compare it to juicers we were looking at online and in other stores. The first time we went in, we received no greeting and were completely ignored, so we left. We ended up deciding we wanted the juicer at WS so we went back another day. Again, no greeting. We only received help when we stood there and stared at the appliance. Finally an associate approached us only to let us know that a juicer extracts juice and this particular one has two discs, one for hard fruits and veggies, and one for soft. Mind you, the sign next to the appliance listed its name - Breville Dual Disc Juice Extractor...and said what it did underneath. I was a little annoyed that she clearly knew nothing about it. Luckily we had done a lot of research on these appliances. We told her we would like to purchase it, and my boyfriend carried the box to the cash wrap where we were rung up without a smile, a thank you, or even have a nice day. I expect at least a smile for a $400 sale. Pretty much the same scenario happened a few years ago at Christmas when we purchased a special edition KitchenAid stand mixer. It is just disappointing to be a retail manager, knowing how well people get treated in my store - to go to another hgh-end, reputable retailer and basically be treated like garbage. As much as I love WS, I may take a break for a while. I sincerely hope this isn't the norm for this location, and that my experience doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

I am not surprised to read that others have experienced poor customer service at this location. I purchased some items on Black Friday and my debit card was charged twice for the sale. When I called the store the manger seemed very annoyed with me and told me she would have to "call corporate" and call me back. I have never received a return phone call, and my money was not refunded to me. Williams and Sonoma is a fabulous brand and it is disappointing that it is represented by incompetence at this particular location. If you absolutely must visit this location, I recommend using cash. And trust me, I plan to "call corporate" since the manager never bothered to. read more

We have shopped at the Deer Park Williams-Sonoma several times. It was a positive shopping experience each time. The staff are very helpful and the variety of items available is excellent. When I asked about a recipe for glaze, the woman helping me looked it up online on the Williams-Sonoma website, under recipes, and printed a copy for me. I purchased two holiday cake pans. Since they are decorative a glaze works best instead of frosting. I highly recommend shopping at this store. They have everyday items for cooking, unique cooking items and many products for baking as well. It's a fun place to shop. read more

I am surprised that others have had a bad experience with customer service at this location because I am always greeted and asked multiple times if there is anything I need help with.
