This place is great! Excellent server, attentive, accurate, awesome personality. Food presentation is appealing. Food was cooked, seasoned and served perfect. Value was worth every penny for every tasty bite. Ok, the spinach deep was flavorful and filling. My salmon, swordfish and scallops were delicious. Her prime rib looked very good, she said it was but never got the chance to taste although I tried. We were too full to have any desert. We had the extra entertainment of open mic night. Well this was not some bar karaoke bunch, they had talent. Guitars and instruments were around the room, each musician took a turn. All entertaining and interesting to watch. Although the food is good, the service is definately not what it once was. Despite having a table reserved, the parties occupying our table remained There well after the meals were funished and stayed 45 minutes into our scheduled time. The resturaunt was not all that crowded (have definately seen it much worse), but our waitress seemed to be quite overwhelmed and operating in slow motion. After what seemed to be forever to get drink and appetizer orders placed, there was no follow-up or checking to see if we wanted anything else. Some members of our party were never asked if they wanted anything else. Once the main entree's arrived the waitress disappeared from view. Despite the wait some of the food nroughtbyo the table was only lukewarm and mot very tasty. Truly fealt that we were completely forgotten about. Although we requested separate checks as orders were being placed, did not anticipate being presented with one large bill after having to ask for our check. Itvwas quite the challenge getting the bill split, and even that process took far to long. As a long-time customer, poor service is certainly not the norm. I enjoyed my visit. I ordered Steamed broccoli, fried fish and mashed potato's. The cook or chef did a out standing job on my meal. The wait for food was reasonable, within 15-20 min. It was of lavishing flavor in which, is surprising based on the location. The further out from Boston the more Bland food becomes. I really can find no faults here. The food is consistently good. The service is consistently good, with friendly servers. The prices are right. The Williams is a nice place for a night out with the family, or for a date night, or for an evening out with friends. The service deserves 5 stars alone. We had our whole family here for a dinner after our dear Uncle's wake. The wait staff took great care of our large (20+) party. The Haddock stuffed with seafood was AMAZING. They also took care of the large reception lunch the next day after the funeral. Great potato salad (with bacon!!!!!), macaroni salad, and your typical deli sandwiches. Again, great and kind servers. This restaurant serves a variety of American style food. For an appetizer, we had the coconut shrimp and it was the best coconut shrimp I have ever had! We shared the seafood combo as the portion size was too large for one person. The haddock was cooked through yet still quite moist (melt in your mouth). The platter also had shrimp, scallops and clam strips along with fries and onion chips. The tartar sauce was nice and tangy. The cole slaw was the only part that was not up to par; it was too dry and not tangy. For dessert we split the cookie lava sundae. The waitress was very efficient yet despite being busy she remembered information about us. This is a homey restaurant that is good for families and couples alike. read more

From apps to entrees Williams does it all. And it does it well. Very well. Ive eaten here quite a few times and no matter the dish I choose I've always left with satisfied taste buds, a full stomach, and leftovers. Seriously, their portions and prices are unmatched. Some of my top recommendations are the stuffed mushrooms, spinach artichoke dip, chicken piccata, Black diamond, and the teriyaki chicken and shrimp. I'm normally not a fan of fish; however, their baked stuffed haddock is to die for. Tucked away in historic Gardner, this place is a hidden gem. The location couldn't be any more convenient therefore I brought my wife there not knowing what to expect. Seated very quickly and cordially the varied choices on the menue were quite a shock to us both .Starting with the appetisers which were terrific we moved on to our main selections and again pleasantly surprised. The timing of delivery was perfect and not rushed, the preparation fantastic ! Having no room for desert we decided to wait for our next visit. We have been back about once every month since , I have even visited once by myself and ate at the bar as a test and again was very pleased with the friendliness and the service recieved.Fantastic Chef and Staff . Owner treats his employees like garbage! He is drunk everytime I have ever been in there hanging on women that definitely don't want him touching them. Wish someone would do something about his behavior so people that work there don't have to deal with him yelling and swearing at the waitstaff! I have been here a few times. Worst experience ever at a restaurant. We were seated three waitresses working was waiting for my in-laws to arrive. Ordered drinks took 15 minutes for the waitress to bring my water. I drank my water took 25 minutes after in-laws arrive to get refilled. The local beer was Budweiser not wachusetts blueberry. Watered down coke. We tried ordering our apps waitresses bolted before we could. SAT with menus closed for 30 minutes watched 3 tables who came in after in-laws in her section get service first. Then still needed to ask for refills never checked our table or any table. We get our food to have cores in tomatoes couldn't bite through it. Fish cake under cooked fries uncooked rib eye clearly broiled then grilled was suppose to raw but was well done. We took a couple bites and nothing SAT there for 30 minutes before she finally came. I guess never heard of 2 minute bite checks. Didn't ask about our food asked if we wanted boxes with our plates still full of food. Honestly I am pregnant the turkey had gone bad for my sandwich. My fiancee said no it's cooked wrong she said you should have told me but she just came to the table. Told him directly shame on you for not telling me and said the same to my father in law. Like seriously we haven't moved you have been giving us horrible service all night and your going to shame us for horrible food. I heard other tables asking fora manager in her section. Took another 20 minutes for check cleared the entrees off bill which was nice since we didn't eat them. The owner or manager apologize as we were leaving. I am calling them tomorrow because I have been vomiting since I got home from dinner and I'm very pregnant. I horrible service from the waitress and horrible food just has ruined my sweet family outing as we are celebrating our triplets. I've haven't been so sick in my pregnancy till tonight. I wish them luck but feel like kitchen nightmares happened this evening. read more
