As soon as I walked in, I was struck by the open concept, aeriness, and "intimate- type" ambiance. It immediately gives one a sense of welcoming relaxation . The hostess GiGi presented her smiling face and engaging , friendly personality and brought me to a table , offering me a water while I awaited someone to conduct my interview. Within a few moments, a friendly woman named Becca arrived ( introduced herself as AM), shook my hand, and sat down across from me. It was one of the most engaging, relaxed interviews I have ever experienced. Despite my not having any hospitality experience ( I am a retired nurse of 46 blessed years).. she welcomed me there with open arms. We talked, laughed, and she made me feel like we had known each other for years. She was very professional, had wonderful things to say about the people working there, and the guests they serve.. and I came away feeling that this restaurant cared deeply about providing an outstanding environment where staff and guests alike would come away with wonderful experiences and memories that would last a lifetime.

I decided to order a feast with my wife; Bang Bang Broccoli ; I ALWAYS order this dish. It's always perfectly lightly crispy and the chili garlic sauce is perfect. It even stays crispy as a fridge leftover! Cornflake Fried Chicken Tenders (maple gochujang) ; my wife's funny. she thought this was legit Korean Fried Chicken because of how great the crispiness and the flavors were. This is a top pick if you're craving Bonchon or bb.Q Chicken but you don't want to make the long drive Korean Crispy Chicken ; I ordered this for my wife but she actually filled up on everything before taking a bite. This tastes great and the glaze used is actually the same sauce we chose on the chicken tenders mentioned above. Can't go wrong with this if you're more of a chicken sandwich than a chicken tendies person. Mac + Cheese ; I am actually not a big fan of Mac and Cheese and I ordered this specifically to go with the tenders. But honestly, this may have changed my opinion. Very delicious and cheesy and great for sharing in a group. One of the few Mac and Cheese in a restaurant I actually enjoy. Hot Honey Chicken Stack ; very very good!! but the hot honey glaze becomes nauseatingly sweet as you become more and more full, and as you reach the end of your plate and you're trying to finish off the rice that's been soaking in the glaze for the past half hour. The chicken itself was borderline dry which isn't a surprise since it appeared be thinly sliced breasts with a nice char. I probably won't ever get this again since I prefer the other chicken dishes above were more juicy. We didn't do any bar service, and the waitress did her expected job of making sure we had filled glasses and checking if the food was good. Nothing stand outs to complain or compliment. We had a great experience here and I am totally going to come back the next time I am craving dinner at 10:30PM.

We found a long room with over 70 seats set up at tables for four that looked combine-able, about 20 seats at the bar and at 2-seat hightops, both rooms with a wall of windows. The band set up in the bar window, but sit where you like, we found that we could hear the band everywhere! There's also a small enclosed outdoor patio with about 30 more seats at umbrellaed tables. The Jim Atkinson band is a foursome of Boston-area musicians that has been cranking out great blues, rock, & roots since 2017. We loved them, especially enjoying the creative keyboard and a real live sax! Their music selection was amazing, more their favorite solid blues than old-standbys, so we didn't recognize every song. But that's real music :-) The $1 New England oysters were big and juicy! They started at 4pm before we got there, and they still had plenty for us after 7pm! They say the variety changes with availability. These were not overly salty. This was dinner for us, and we started with their hot-skillet "Mexican Corn Dip" with zingy pico de gallo salsa and fresh crisp corn tortilla chips. We got a "warm energy" bowl of quinoa, fresh tart cranberries, baby spinach, roasted sweet potato, and goat cheese, flavored with some scallions and garlic-butter. Huge, delicious, and very satisfying! The Fish 'n Chips was a full-foot-long full of their own Moon-Hill-beer beer-battered haddock, piping-hot fries, fresh crunchy coleslaw, with tartar sauce. Yep, Huge, delicious, and satisfying! We tried their parmesan-garlic wings, but that wasn't our favorite. They were ok, but not crispy which we expected. Came with crunchy celery and creamy bleu cheese. Of course we leaned on their in-house Moon Hill brewery for several dry IPAs, their luscious Candy Mountain blueberry sour, (which could have been colder), and a very tasty non-alcohol Blueberry (Not)-tini, a bubbly beverage crafted with "Reàl Blueberry Purée", fresh lemon juice and lemonade. Although I'm not surprised. (-; It is rare to find such a well-oiled machine in a restaurant that operates with such heart -- you can tell how connected the crew is and that they're having a good time too, which extends to a customer's experience -- with food that is made with such skill and craft, such care and thought and pride. It's so clear that this is Val's passion, and we are most grateful to have learned about her and her place. Val and team, thank you for the unforgettable birthday sendoff you created for me last night. My friends are sending texts of gratitude for such a lovely time; all of it was perfect.
