Chocolate croissant was better than the almond croissant cause chocolate pretty much makes everything taste better but not sure the layers on the bottom were any better. My favorite was the cherry and pistachio croissant. Lots of flavor and puff pastry was done well. The morning bun was good, but it was nothing special. Disappointing bc was expecting something great. My other favorite was the.pain aux currants. I went with several family members the second time and we all agreed our favorites were the sour cherry and pistachio croissant as well as the pan aux currants. Staff was friendly and helpful on both our visits. Parking can be a challenge, but you should be able to find something as long as you're up for a walk. This one is my favorite by far. The coffee is consistently incredible, the breakfast pastries are amazing, and the baked sweets are some of the best you'll find anywhere. If you go, do yourself a favor and order the banana bread latte. It's easily my favorite drink in Richmond. One of the things that makes this place so special is the owner, Shannon. She bakes her own fresh bread, creates all kinds of delicious treats, and even makes homemade goodies for your dogs, which is such a thoughtful touch.
