The dentist herself was great -- that is not the issue. This review is a warning to anyone…read moreconsidering this office: document everything and track your time. Nearly two years after a tooth extraction, I received a text message that looked like a scam. I almost deleted it. After doing a reverse number search, I confirmed it came from San Gabriel Oral Surgery. When I called the office, I was told I had an unpaid balance of $957.00 for three 15-minute sedation charges at mixed rates -- supposedly not covered by my insurance. The extraction itself had already been paid for. I was told, "Insurance companies don't like to pay for single-tooth extractions." I immediately called BS and asked for an itemized statement. At first I got an "ummm." After asking again, I was told they would email it to me. I also asked why I was being contacted almost two years later. I was told their previous billing/accounting company "dropped the ball" and they're now using a new one. When I received the statement, it only showed the tooth extraction -- no sedation charges. I then contacted my insurance company and spoke with two different representatives, including someone in the dental department. Both confirmed the issue: the office failed to submit the required doctor's notes explaining why sedation was necessary. They told me the office could resubmit the claim. I emailed the office explaining this. After multiple back-and-forth messages, instead of rebilling insurance, they offered to discount my bill by 10%. I repeatedly asked whether they had contacted my insurance company to rebill the claim. They avoided the question. At that point, I told them I would not pay anything until I received a written denial from my insurance company, because I no longer trust the office's billing practices. I also informed them that Texas state law requires medical providers to bill within specific time limits, and attempting to collect nearly two years later is unacceptable. I even offered to split the cost, despite this being entirely their billing failure. That offer was ignored. Instead of holding their billing company accountable, they chose to pressure the patient. Bottom line: Keep detailed records. Time how long you're sedated. Get everything in writing. Because one or two years later, you may receive a surprise bill with the explanation: "We dropped the ball -- now you owe us." This feels deceptive, and patients deserve better.

Be cautious of this practice. My molar was extracted and I ended up w an infection. There was…read morelittle to no care at home instructions. Additionally I have yet to receive my EOB. office staff just told me it can take up to 6 months to receive this document.

The office seems good about not having you wait a long time in the waiting room. Dr. Cain is very personable and professional. He goes through all questions and takes his time to make sure you feel educated and at ease about your treatment. Our 18 year son even mentioned to us that Dr. Cain has a great personality. The assistants are very kind and friendly. The office is immaculate and very inviting. No one really enjoys dental treatment but if you have to have your wisdom teeth removed or any other oral surgery procedures I would highly recommend Dr. Cain with Austin Oral Surgery!

Within five minutes of walking in the door for my procedure (and before I could rationalize why I could leave if I wanted to), they brought me back and started gas to ease my nerves. Less then five minutes after that (again, leaving me no time to overthink/panic/run screaming from the fire exit), they started my IV and it was lights out. Dr. Leland also suffered through nervous ramblings about the bowel movement I just had because of the nerves and a nightmare I had about his hands being too big (I have a child's size mouth) so he performed the surgery with tiny hands on the each of his fingers. Yes, anxiety is real and he graciously ended by ridiculous rant by putting me to sleep. As an adult who REALLY struggled to do this very adult thing - I could not have asked for a better, more caring, 'we get you girl' experience. The world of healthcare needs more Dr. Leland(s). 10/10. Five stars. Highly recommend. The Tom Brady of tooth removal, the Leonel Messi of mouths, the Emperor of Extraction - all hail, Dr. Leland!

One big issue I have with Wolf Ranch Dental is that they push HARD to get a deep cleaning done…read more When they came in ( not dentist) and checked my gums with the tool they use, she poked hard and made my gums bleed. My gums don't bleed when I brush them and rarely bleed when I floss. Since I was 18 I've been told I have deep pockets and every dentists over the last 30 plus years tell me the same thing. I even told them that and it was a continued push from the dentists to the checkout person all pushing that I need to get the deep cleaning done. Wolf Ranch excels at installing crowns in the same day that you need one. They make them in house and love that you don't have to get a temporary crown and come back later to get the permanent one put in. Find a practice that will listen to you and realize that pushing a procedure to just make money is not necessarily in the best interest of the patient.

Then they came and got me, took X-rays then sat me in a room. I waited and waited and continued to just have bad feelings. So I just got up and left. I had never done something like that, but I had the opportunity because of the insane wait time and I am so glad that happened! Now I've continually seen bad reviews, and a Facebook post regarding their service and up selling - I'm so glad I got out of there! The office is not very nice, the people were not very nice and for a new patient to not have any friendly conversation... I'm out! Forgot to add: when I walked out, no one saw me because no one was around, but I was really surprised that no one called me to ask what happened or if something went wrong- they had all my information if they wanted to hear why I walked out (huge huge clue that there is not a good feedback loop for them!)

What made this office really stand out from the rest were two things. 1) Online scheduling. This is big for me since I need to check dates with my husband so this makes it way easier. 2) Weekend and evening hours. Also huge since we have two little kids so I can only go when my husband can take over. Being able to schedule an appointment at 8am on a Saturday was super helpful for me. Thank you!

After my most recent visit, I felt the need to write a completely new review, because the experience was beyond exceptional. I came in to have three cavities filled, and the doctor once again went above and beyond. He showed me detailed images before and after the procedure, explained everything thoroughly, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. His precision and professionalism are unmatched. But what truly left me speechless was something I never expected: I had lost a $100 gold earring during a previous visit and assumed it was gone. Without me even asking, the staff found it and returned it to me today while I was discussing my next appointment. That level of honesty, care, and attention is extremely rare. I'm not trying to sell anyone on a particular dentist, but I can confidently say this: if you choose this doctor and his team, you will not regret it. This has been the best dental experience I've ever had in my life.
