Avoid this place! Our insurance assigned us to Dr. Taylor, and in hindsight, that should've been a red flag. The office is outdated, not very clean, and staffed by only one dentist and one receptionist--which was concerning from the start. After a short wait for paperwork, Dr. Taylor came to my section, gave a quick hello, and immediately began working. He rushed through the cleaning, missed several spots, and just poked around without thoroughness. I've been seeing dentists for over 30 years, and I can confidently say he is the worst I've ever encountered. He spent less than 10 minutes on my cleaning--completely inadequate, especially since I hadn't had a cleaning in over 7-8 months. Then he moved on to my husband and spent about 20 minutes with him. In total, he spent only 30 minutes on both of us. That's simply not enough time to provide proper dental care. I do not recommend this office or Dr. Taylor under any circumstances. read more

My very elderly mother lives at a long-term care facility in suburban Baltimore, and until very recently she'd had regular appointments at her dentist's office. However; her condition has worsened significantly and it's no longer possible to transport her anywhere - but recently she developed a worsening and very concerning dental problem which needed to be looked at. Fortunately the facility knew of a dentist who will go there on week-ends (Dr. Taylor), and he visited my mother this morning. I'd spoken to him briefly yesterday and liked him immediately, but today I spoke to him at great length after he saw my mother and he was *wonderful*. For 2 years I was seeing a dentist in Silver Spring who was amazing however had to depart from her office after switching insurance. Hesitant to switch providers( I was fearful that i would not find another dentist such as her), I randomly chose Dr. Taylor to be my new provider after reading a few Google reviews. During my first visit, i remembered feeling uneasy after walking in to Dr. Taylor office. Aesthetically speaking, the office is not modern, however don't let that be a discouragement. Dr. Taylor is an amazing dentist! He is extremely person centered. He has a conservative model that he adopts which I appreciate-- meaning that he won't make up problems that don't exists to charge for unnecessary treatments. When talking to him, he is very personable, and open. His communication style is clear and concise, and he takes time during each visit to ensure that we both are on the same page. My biggest teeth insecurity has been around spacing challenges. Dr. Taylor and I began the Invisalign process in 2020 by completing a scan, taking pictures and him consulting with Invisalign to draft a treatment plan. When i met with him to review my clincheck before approving the treatment, he was honest and transparent with me about Invisalign not being the best option, which in the end would cost me the most money due to additional work i would need to get done after treatment. He reviewed the treatment plan with me, broke down estimated cost of post services (such as veeners) and assisted me in seeing the pros and cons of the treatment. This showed me that he cares about his patients and truly wants the best. Sadly not every dentist cares this much, so i am thankful that Dr. Taylor shares values of integrity and honesty. read more

Dr. Taylor was my dentist from the early 2000s until very recently. I switched to another dentist only because the new dentist has longer office hours and is open 6 days a week, not because I was dissatisfied with Dr. Taylor. One month after switching, my IMPLANT CROWN (placed by Dr. Taylor in 2016) became loose and needed tightening. My CURRENT DENTIST was unable to help me because she does not have the implant manufacturer's driver, which is needed to tighten the screw. Each implant manufacturer has their own tools. She suggested that I return to Dr. Taylor for the adjustment. I was reluctant to contact Dr. Taylor's office. I feared that he would not agree to see me for switching to another dentist. However, that fear was unfounded. Dr. Taylor explained to me that there are 5 major implant manufacturers, and he has the adjustment tools for each. It took a few visits (e.g., the crown was sent to the lab for an access hole - easier for future adjustments), but the crown was finally adjusted. When Latarsha (the wonderful front desk person) told him that I would be paying out of pocket (my insurance could not be charged because he's no longer my primary dentist), he waived his fee - even though it cost his office money, and of course his time. When I made the initial appointment, I was expecting to pay several hundred dollars. In the end, I paid nothing. Over the years, Dr. Taylor had performed several procedures, including several crowns, for me. He has never tried to sell me something I did not need. There are many complaints on Yelp that his cleanings are too quick and not thorough (Dr. Taylor does not employ a hygienist - he performs the cleanings himself). Perhaps he should slow it down a little and take his time. However, it seems that my NEW DENTIST was just as quick when she cleaned my teeth recent. I hadn't had my teeth cleaned in several years and I was expecting it to take at least 30 minutes, but that did not happen. Therefore, unless your teeth are full of plaque, I don't think the procedure necessarily needs to take a long time. My NEW DENTIST did floss my teeth and apply varnish, which should always be done at the end. I do not recall if Dr. Taylor includes these two steps, but you should feel free to ask. To sum up, Dr. Taylor is a VERY EXPERIENCED dentist with a PLEASANT BEDSIDE MANNER who looks out for his patients. Because of the way he and his staff treated me, I will be switching back to Dr. Taylor. I know that I can count on him in the event (God forbid) my implant crown needs adjusting in the future. I am also confident that he will continue to provide the same OUTSTANDING service that he has in the past. read more

My insurance told me Dr Williams was the closest dentist to me. I'm not picky about doctors, so I checked him out about a year ago without looking into any reviews. Getting an appointment was easy (I think I know why). When I got to the office, I was a little disappointed. The office was small and outdated. I had a unsettling feeling about the office, but I tried to tell myself that I was just letting the unflattering decor and disorganization unfairly prejudice me. Nonetheless, I couldn't shake the feeling. Dr. Williams found cavities and told me to schedule a new appointment to have them filled, but one more look around the office convinced me that I didn't want to have any type of operation done in there. I left and never came back. While I was there, I will say that Dr. Williams, himself, cleaned my teeth, which is not very common with more busy dentists. And the office had fairly modern imaging equipment. But beyond that, I can't remember anything appealing about my experience. read more

One on one with the actual dentist...I don't think that I've ever not had a hygienist before. This is a small office, and you're treated like family. Dr. Taylor is funny and warm, and your appointment starts on time. He answers all of your questions, addresses concerns, and still manages to clean your teeth in 15 minutes flat. I had read the reviews before making an appointment but wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt. I went in this morning for a routine cleaning and it took 10 minutes, he skipped a lot of steps including flossing. In the past my cleanings are usually very thorough and take at least 40 minutes. I will definitely be looking for a different dentist. read more

Dr. Taylor isn't very good. He misses obvious issues with your teeth. My coworker went there complaining of tooth pain and Dr. Taylor said he couldn't find a problem. Colleague went to a different dentist who immediately noticed that his tooth was cracked in half down the middle. This didn't show up on side view xrays that Dr. Taylor did, but was obvious by visually looking in his mouth. I personally went to him for a cleaning and checkup and he rushes you through because he doesn't have a hygienist. My teeth didn't even feel cleaned after so I had my dental student roommate take a look and she said that it was poorly done. Find a better dentist elsewhere. read more

Avoid Dr Taylor at all costs. His office is chaotic and often dirty. His receptionist/business lady doesn't like filling out insurance forms and does everything in her power to avoid doing them. She actually tried on multiple occasions to talk me into just paying for procedures all myself so she didn't have to bother with the paperwork. The cost of procedures will be a mystery. She'll tell you a price, then when you come back for the procedure the price is different and she accuses you of lying about what she said. She also keeps you waiting while she has long gossipy conversations. Dr. Taylor will bill you (and your insurance company, if his person will fill out the form) for a cleaning and not really do it. He pokes around in your mouth for literally a minute or two and counts that as a cleaning. Worst of all, he works to the level of "good enough" not to what's right or best. He unfortunately put a crown on one of my molars. It didn't feel right, pushed against the two teeth on either side, and food continually got caught in between. One of the adjacent teeth started hurting. I was told it was my imagination. I should have gone to a different dentist right then, but I didn't because his office is convenient and he really did convince me that this was just my mouth adjusting to the crown. Well, a few months later, one of the adjacent teeth CRACKS OFF. I had to get a root canal and crown on what had been a perfectly healthy tooth. I just found out that the molar on the other side of his original crown is now damaged. I'm getting that molar root canalled and crowned and the original bad crown replaced. Because of Dr. Taylor's shoddy work, I've had to have two root canals and two crowns on the adjacent teeth. That's unexcusable. One of my office mates, however, had a worse experience with Dr. Taylor. While doing a simple filling, Dr. Taylor injected some pain killer (novocaine, I think) in the wrong spot and my colleague ended up in the emergency room. Honestly, DO NOT GO TO DR. Dr. Taylor is really nice and friendly. Apparently they don't have a hygienist cause Dr. Taylor himself did my cleaning. I thought that was a good thing until he spend just 10 minutes doing it. I take really good care of my teeth and he mention it to me but I still think he did a sloppy job. I will definelty look for another dentist. read more

Yes, Dr. Taylor does the cleaning. But he does it quickly and NOT thoroughly. My appointment was over in 15 minutes. Waste of time and money. Do not go to this dentist! read more
