The dentist I was scheduled to see was still there with an open slot but they still wouldn't honor the appointment. Lost time from work plus they are 40 minute drive each way for me. Horrible treatment. Their Olney office is not any better. You can see my review on their page.

Which I knew was a lie because my prior dental appointments in the prior years. Plus, approximately 10 years ago in Texas another dentist tried to pull the same stunt. Naturally in that situation, as in this one, no periodontal disease was found. My mistake was not looking at the reviews before setting an appointment. Although going to the Baltimore Dental College can be a nuisance due to the several appointments required, I'll keep going until I can find a local dentist who doesn't steal. Shameful. I am submitting my experience to MARYLAND STATE BOARD OF DENTAL EXAMINERS. I suggest to others who feel ripped off or an attempt was made go to the Maryland Dept Board of Health Dental Examiners. This is the only way to get honest dental care. https://health.maryland.gov/dental/Pages/complaints.aspx

Since I've been seeing Dr. Goorah, I have had no cavities and the crowns she gave me look great. My teeth may be old, but they are healthy.

I arrived…read moreon time for my 4 PM follow-up appointment with Dr. Dobomkowski--not a new patient visit, a follow-up--yet was asked by a clearly untrained and unprofessional front desk staff member to complete "paperwork" again via a link sent to my phone. I explained that I had already completed all the forms when I came in June, and that since this was a follow-up, they already had everything they needed. She insisted it was "policy," so I complied and submitted the forms a second time. Then I sat. For 40 minutes. No one checked in, no one followed up. When I returned to the desk to ask what was going on, the same staff member said, "Oh, you completed the form?" I couldn't believe it. I looked at her and said, "Are you telling me I've been sitting here for 40 minutes because you didn't realize I submitted the form? How long do you think it takes to fill out what you sent me? Do you not value my time at all?" And here's the worst part: At no point did anyone apologize. No one said "We're sorry," or offered an explanation. No one said, "You'll be seen right away." The attitude was indifferent at best and dismissive at worst. I've already spent over $1,200 out of pocket at this practice for two treatments, and this is how returning patients are treated? If you value your time, your money, or even basic respect, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere. A dental office is not just about the doctor--it's about the people who represent them at the front desk. And this staff failed completely.

However, a recent incident showed us that when they make a mistake, they are happy to make us pay for it. We purchased a dental insurance policy for 2024 to cover anticipated costs. My husband's care was in three phases, and first two went smoothly earlier in 2024. On October 31, 2024, he had an impression taken for an occlusal guard. However, the dentist didn't send the impression to the manufacturer or file the claim in November or December while we still had dental coverage. Nor did they communicate with us about any of this until my husband finally called them. The delay led to a second impression being required in January, 2025, and my husband coming out with a bill for $1130.70 instead of the $195.30 that should have been the total charge if the claim had been filed while we had insurance in 2024. Their lack of communication was disappointing. My husband and I have spoken to three persons of authority there, including the billing and office managers, and their unwillingness to take responsibility for their negligence is unacceptable.

First time visit. I had a (what turned out to be a partial) cleaning done by a dental hygenist…read morehere, and a cursory exam by a dentist. Not going back to this office. The first red flag as it turns out was that the office called me 3 times (including at 7 am the morning of my cleaning appt) to reschedule the time of my appointment. The first time was to move it 30 minutes earlier..OK, I agreed. The 2nd time, someone different called to move it to a later time, including offering me my original appointment time back! When I told them I had already been rescheduled, they said ok, nevermind. When they called at 7 am on the day of the appointment to re-schedule again, I just said "No". I think calling someone to re-schedule them 3 times is excessive and irritating. It also made me wonder about their internal communication within the office. The hygenist was very rushed. It was like she was trying to get as many folks in/out of her chair as possible, with no down time. She saw a crack in one of my teeth and wanted me to get an xray while I was there. I would have to move to another room to get the xray, and the room happened to be occupied. She said she would polish my teeth while we waited. However, the polisher tool was not working. She handed it to someone there and then we were told I could get my xray. After the xray I had a cursory exam with a dentist, who was an alarmist, in my opinion. Despite having no symptoms or pain, she said a 25 year old crown needed to be replaced, another tooth had a crack and I needed to see their restoration specialist (separate $500 consultation fee), and another tooth may need to be extracted. It was a very doom and gloom vibe. When I said why does my 25 year old crown need to be replaced if I am not having any symptoms, she told me they are "pro-active". After this cursory exam, there was no mention of me getting my polishing from the hygenist (and she never did the gum depth measuring thing, either). She already had another patient in her chair. I received a robo-text later from the office and mentioned how I had an incomplete cleaning and wanted to come back for the remainder of it. No response. I also left a voice mail message and never received a call back. I decided I am not going back to this office for a variety of reasons. I went to a different dentist and was told my 25 year old crown was fine..there was no lifting and he recommended not doing anything to that tooth at this time. The tooth with the crack does need a crown, and the tooth that they mentioned may need to be extracted can wait until I become symptomatic. A more conservative approach and I didn't feel like they were trying to upsell. They also took the time to explain things and weren't rushed.

Two stars because it's a friendly place. Their care also seems good. However, if you have a problem…read moreyou need to get resolved, good luck getting a call back. I tried three different times to get a new prescription, and no one called me back at any time. I'll be looking for another practice.

When I lived in Wheaton, which was a lot closer to downtown Silver Spring, I still always wrote/typed Wheaton, MD 20902. I had a dentist when I live in Wheaton that was less than a mile away, and she was good, and it's a hassle finding a new dentist. I moved to Russett in 2020, and I kept going all the way back to Wheaton for my dentist through 2023. My girlfriend recommended her dentist Colesville Dentistry, and she was right! I first arrived here in May 2024, then November 2024, & most recently May 2025. Wow, this dentist is top notch, blows the Wheaton dentist I had out of the water. The staff is friendly, efficiently gets you in. Dr. Chai, other dentists, & technicians have been friendly doing a great job with the cleanings as well as advise on better dental habits. Also, this is a state of the art dental office. When you are lying on the dental chair, there is a TV screen above you with high definition nature scenes which is peaceful when the dentist isn't exactly the most pleasant experience even with Colesville Dentistry being the best case scenario goes as far as the dentist goes. They have great technology with computer modeling of my teeth & more, which the prior dentist I had fell short. Although it's still not super close to my home, still easier than going to Wheaton and worth the drive. Overall, I highly recommend Colesville Dentistry.

I am one to always ask questions because I can't see into my own mouth and I'm curious to know exactly what's going on. The dentists have been patient with me, explaining everything in detail and even taking photos of the procedure so I can have a clear understanding of my dental health. I highly recommend them!
