"Root canal teeth are more likely to break during extractions" Yes, any tooth can break during extraction though, that was an excuse. She even made sure to include in quotations on my referral that i wanted the tooth removed for "Convenience" - you don't know my life. If i have to get my wisdom tooth removed to have anything done to this molar, as someone with Anxiety & PTSD that's a far harder thing for me to come to terms with. a complete lack of respect from the Dr. She could of left it at, "Sorry, i just don't want to pull this tooth" and sent me on my way. Instead she had to make me feel like a child, who doesn't know what i'm talking about. The dental ASSISTANT was a joy though. Very friendly & kind, easy to talk too - & was understanding of my reasoning even if she didn't agree. Overall would not recommend this place if you're looking for a primary dentist.

You come here for the great dentistry not the decor (they recently did have a small remodel however..cough cough..very small). The front desk receptionists can be a little curt sometimes but they are always professional. The hygienists and dentists are all great and cheerful all the time.

I was told that the temp crown coming off was expected for the position of the tooth and would be charged the next time I had to come in to get it back in. I'm going through the same process with another office on the same tooth and have not had the issue of the crown coming off. 3. Dental assistant and Dentist would squabble over me during procedures. 4. The front desk was not professional. The standard care at this place is not good. The Dr. Virginia Perez-Torrebela was not only unprofessional and rude but almost refused to numb me for my filings. Upon taking my impressions she instructed the receptionist to order a specific crown without consulting me first. I had to get up and let the receptionist know that was not the crown I was hoping to get. The entire procedure took so long I was only able to get two fillings and they told me to come back in 2 weeks when the crown was done to get the other 2 fillings done. Fast forward 1 month I hear nothing from the Apolline. Upon calling them to ask for an update they told me my insurance was denying the claim. I provided them with the info to my secondary provider and they told me they would open a claim with them. Fast forward another month (now two months with a temporary crown) the claim has still not been processed. I am now told that I owe additional money for the crown but when asked to email the amount and details they never email me. I call back two days in a row, once 10x in a row because nobody answered my calls and I was told there was a system issue and the email couldn't go through. Today, as I call someone on the other end of the phone still cannot tell me what I owe but then tells me the receptionist I was speaking to me has been LYING this entire time (his words btw). He tells me this is on her and there's nothing they can do. Apolline has demonstrated that they cannot properly care for patients health as they're dentists mistreat patients and receptionists lie to them.

As a teenager, I paid approximately $4,000 out of pocket for braces without insurance. At the time, I chose Premiere Dental Care not only because of the services offered, but also because I wanted to support a Black-owned business located near my grandparents' store in Washington, DC. As a Maryland resident, I made that choice despite not having the convenience of living nearby. After completing my treatment, I was provided with a retainer. Unfortunately, I later lost the retainer, and my gap has since begun to reopen. When I contacted the office to ask about obtaining a replacement retainer, I was informed that I would need to return for a new mold. The problem is that I now live over two hours away, making an in-person visit difficult. More importantly, taking a new mold now would capture my teeth in their current state, including the reopening gap that I paid thousands of dollars to correct. I worked hard and made significant sacrifices to pay for my orthodontic treatment without insurance. I invested in braces specifically to close the gap in my teeth, and it is frustrating to now be in a position where I may need to spend an additional $3,000 on Invisalign or other corrective treatment because I cannot obtain a replacement retainer based on my post-treatment results. As a loyal patient who supported your practice and paid entirely out of pocket, I expected more flexibility and assistance in preserving the results of my treatment. This situation has been both financially and emotionally upsetting, especially considering the effort and commitment I made to receive care through your office.
