Had my eyes examined there a while back Doctor Fleischman was good but there was a employee she was in her 40s maybe early fifties looks like she has Asian in her. She is rude very rude , she rushed me in picking my new glasses and wrote them up before I changed my mind she said. Her attitude was very rude and I ended up getting kids glasses which they don't go always to the back of my ears and she didn't say anything. Can I give zero stars for the unprofessional staff. the office smells sickly sweet and the front desk person is rude. The doctor owed my wife money and I went to pick up a check which was not ready, twice!!!! Asked why and the office staff was ride and unprofessional Telling me "I told you to come back at lunch!" I replied "I told you I am n out able to. Why would you not ask the doctor when he first came in to give you the check since I was coming back?" She replied in a snarky tone, "I can't tell the doctor what to do." Yes, but you could have let him know I was coming back. I have been coming to this office for 12 years. Dr. Fleischmann is thorough and knowledgeable about his practice and has helped me monitor some conditions I have in a helpful and supportive way. The staff that assist with the glasses selection and fitting are wonderful. Tye (spelling? sorry) is amazing and for two consecutive years has helped me choose frames that are better fitting and better looking than the ones I originally selected. I called the office to ask about repairing my glasses. The person who answered the phone said I could come in, quick fix. When I get there at 10 she says the optometrist won't be until 11. What do I need an optometrist to put a screw in my glasses. She was not interested in helping me. Also hung up on me the first time I called. I love the Doctor. As a new patient, making my first appointment was a breeze. The eye exam was extremely thorough. The frame selection was beyond what I expected and the assistance in selecting my frames was very pleasant. I've purchased my glasses previously with at both a big box store and at a very high end optometrist's office. While the selection was a bit smaller than the big box store, the frames were very sufficient and the assistance in selecting what I needed was beyond helpful. Frankly, the service was far better than the other optometrist's office who definitely didn't act as though they needed my business even though I was forking over $1,500 in cash. I expect my glasses to take two weeks to arrive, and that is standard unless you go to one of those one-hour places so I did not find the wait unreasonable. I was brought in so quickly for my appointment that I didn't even have all my paperwork filled out. I'm very pleased. read more

I have been a patient at Dr Fliecshmann's office for almost 30 years! He has seen my entire family. Years and years ago his office used to be wonderful. Now his front office could care less about retaining business. I have called for three months. To make an appointment. No response. except I received a letter stating my annual check up. No one has returned the call! I even left a message yesterday, personally for Dr Fliecshmann to return my call, he never returned my call. My family will never go back to his office because of the attitude of the girls in the front. Horrible, business ethics! I will also be turning him in to BBB I have several other issues. I told the clerk at the front desk who answered the phone... She finally answered the phone... she took the message. I told her it was personal. And I guarantee he did not get the message! I have tried so hard (for years) to like (and tolerate) this place but I am DONE! And every single time I leave, I'm so irritated. This last visit was the straw that broke the camel's back! I went in for my annual exam which when I made the appointment I specifically requested an exam for glasses AND contacts. They said sure! I get there and talk to the assistant/tech who I reiterated I was there for a glasses and contact exam. Yup, no problem they said. Then when Dr. Fleischmann came in he said that a contact exam just takes to long and then they'd need to fit me and then I'd have to come back, that it would just be too much. I was like, seriously!?!?!! But that's the appointment that I made. Furious to say the least. Oh and the normal exam will waste 2 to 2.5 hours of your time, just to let you know. And he didn't even do the contact lens exam! No one in this office has any sort of speed other than extrememly slow! Then when I ask if I can get glasses and sunglass (both) under my insurance, there was just no way for them to make it work because they charge an arm and a leg for frames and lenses, exam fees, etc. THIS PLACE IS RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE!!! Then to make matters worse... I get a text message stating my sunglasses were in. I went in and 25 mins later (they were not busy!), someone from the back room finally yells out to me from the BACK ROOM that they ordered the wrong lenses for my sunglasses and that they didnt check them until right now so they would need to reorder. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?! Customer service here SUCKS! Soooooo long story short, DONT GO HERE! Go to Costco and SAVE a TON OF MONEY and save your valuable TIME!!!! read more

It was my first time at an optometrist so, needing a prescription for glasses, I chose Dr. Fleishman because it was closest and we had known him as a customer at my wife's place of business for years. The testing was interesting and took only 40 minutes or so. I now have my glasses and I'm back driving safely. The only negative parts of the experience were: after the procedure was done Dr. Fleishman told me to sit and relax. I sat and relaxed. For about 15 minutes. Then I got up and walked to the front and realized I was the only person in the whole office! They'd all gone to lunch! The other part was the guy who assisted with picking out frame styles and ordering them gave me the feeling that he was distracted, would rather have been somewhere else and would not engage in any conversation other than business at hand. All in all it was a strange experience. No complaints about the glasses though. read more

They were super helpful on the phone, and when we came in we were welcomed, all of our questions were answered and they helped work out the issues I had at the other office. They have such a large selection of glasses, and also informed me they could order any frame if I had a number to it. Plus they were in my network and very reasonably priced! This place is unbelievable! You'd get no stars if possible. I get my eyes tested at Kaiser since I have glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataract's and blindness in my family. Kaiser has a full history on my eyes and I return there for testing as they have my records to compare changes. I still like to support small business and therefore I chose Dr. Fleischmann's office for glasses. First off I would like to agree with the other reviews that his office staff stinks. I am older and disabled. I drive a disability scooter. I've been to their office probably a dozen times. Not once has any of the office staff offered or just opened the door for me. Coming or going. They watch me go forward and backward probably 6 to 8 times trying to get in the door. Picture doing a 6-8 point turn on a disability scooter. Their sidewalk is very narrow and the door is a pull out going the wrong direction. That's okay I don't expect a hand, it just shows me that people were either raised wrong or they are extremely lazy. I order glasses from them and "as usual" they never call to tell me they are ready, I had to call them. So when I went to get them, they were not my prescription, not even close. They check and say, that's right, we made a mistake and that they will have to send them back and it will probably be 3 weeks since they have to do it again. So now I had to call again to be told that they were ready. I go and the glasses still are not right. So now they say they won't send them back again. They tell me that they won't honor kaisers prescription. They say I have to go back to Kaiser and get a new prescription. I told them that I want my money back and that I'm tired of dealing with them. They refuse. They said that kaisers prescription is wrong and if I go back and the prescription is correct then they will fix them and if not then it's on me. So in my mind there should be something posted saying that they will not back other optometrists prescriptions. You backed it when I bought my glasses there in the past, what happened? You weren't making enough off me? I'm disabled and a senior how rich did you think I was? They said since they had already sent them back twice....umm excuse me but the first time was your error! Not on me! So I had to wait almost another month to get into Kaiser again, get another eye test and there were extremely minute changes but not enough to matter. I have ordered new glasses and I'm stuck with these crap ass ones that I can't see out of. I will never step foot in this place again. Dr. Fleischmann shame on you for not honoring a prescription that was 2 days old, & not backing your customer. Shame on you for having such lazy staff. Your staff should do everything in their power to make you look good and to promote you doctor. Word of mouth goes a long way Dr. You can thank your staff and yourself for losing business. Fast to get an appointment and they answer their phones...so they earned their whole one star. We sat for HOURS. Literally...hours. Waiting for the appointment to begin and for the results etc. It was a FULL half day spent to get an Rx. The glasses took two weeks to get. Less than three months later the finish on the glasses is wearing off and BOTH arms have broken. We spent $300 above what was covered by insurance for these glasses. Including the scratch resistant lenses which are now...scratched. We went in and they had NONE of the frames in stock so we waited another week and a half for them to order some in. We had to call them...they never called us as promised. We went in and what should have taken 10 minutes took 45. And THEN they explain that they can't get his lenses into the new frames. They said they would have to have a new set of frames overnighted for pu on tuesday. I called wed morning and was told they weren't in and check back in a few days. I said...they should have been overnighted on monday and arrived yesterday (tues). She said well call back at 3pm and see if they arrived. I called back and was told they are back ordered and won't be in until NEXT Monday or tuesday (Christmas Eve). Not that they bothered to call and let us know. So now we get to choose spending Xmas even w family and glasses held together on both sides w scotch tape OR spending Xmas eve with these freaks trying once AGAIN to get glasses. So far in under 3 months we have spent 5 weeks waiting on frames. So we have had glasses...what 60% of the time? That's a fail my friends. Big. Ole. Fail. read more

I want to point out the ease of making the appointment and confirmation. I find utilizing email and text messages for communications works for me since I work all day and it's easier to respond to by those methods. The staffs were nice and welcoming upon my arrival. Dr. Fleischman was attentive and quick in finding exactly what my vision issues are. Being a first time glasses person, the optical staff made it simple and informative about my glasses options. So I make an appointment for an eye exam Monday at 1 o'clock I arrive 15 minutes early and find a sign on the door saying they're closed and will return at 1:30 I left and called them to reschedule my appointment I was unable to reach anyone as the phone would just go to an answering machine stating that this Verizon customer was unable to take my call. I came back to their office on Tuesday and found them open , I went inside and explained what happened including the difficulty I had trying to phone them , they could care less and said The phone does that and we can make you another appointment, so luckily I just live around the corner from them so I made another appointment Monday morning at 10:30 after sitting in the exam chair for over an hour listening to all of the goings on in the office I decided that they had wasted enough of my time. Disappointed. Went to go purchase some sunglasses with my prescription in it. Settled for some Maui Jims worth over $500. Power went out at office so employee could not complete the transaction. I called back later that day and twice the next day to provide cc info to individual. Left 3 different messages. I never got a call back. I was going to pay cash.
