This house is the oldest on the Reservation she says. She was born and raised there for 73 years and counting. It's one of the best Indian Fried Bread I've ever had. I wanted to eat it up so fast, but couldn't because it was piping hot. It was not greasy at all. It was crisp on the outside, and just absolutely heavenly in the inside. The Apple Fritter is made with Indian Fried Bread, topped with apples mixed with cinnamon! Delicious! Don't miss this stop!! You may have to stop, U-turn, but it's worth it! Yummy!

Both drinks were weak, and the americano became almost undrinkable. I do believe we had a newer barista who may have still been in training. The peanut butter cookie was lovely and local. The chocolate chip was a bit too doughy, but still delicious. I see that this place could be heading towards greatness, but for now it needs a bit of work.

Boistfort Valley Farm operates both summer and winter CSA drop-offs in the Puget Sound region…read moreChehalis to Seattle). So far, I have only used the winter program, but it the pricing is competitive, the produce excellent and the quantities more than generous. With Mosby's changing their business model, I plan to move my summer CSA to Boistfort, as well. What triggered me to post a review today was an issue that I had moving my CSA drop-off. After some technical difficulties and confusing confirmations on the website, I discovered that my drop-off had not been moved at all. Flustered, I spent a Tuesday trying to get a hold of a human being to confirm the change in my schedule. This morning, well after the 11th hour and after I had resigned to forfeiting my box, I received a call from Rachel at the farm, confirming that she would have the driver add a box to my preferred drop site (replete with cheese), and confirming some additional information with me for my future service and any issues that might arise. It has been a long time since I've had a truly reassuring experience with customer service; the digital age seems to have dehumanized everything, and having more options has somehow made everything more difficult. I really am pleased to know that there are decent people growing the food that feeds my family, and hope to make the drive out to see the farm myself next summer.

What a beautiful day in the PNW for a little day trip!…read more I saw a post from a general store in Doty, WA, featuring Grandma's recipe for lemon curd. I had never heard of this town, so off we went to explore. What a cute little gem of a spot for their community! The owner, Chris, was so kind, and the few locals inside were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and happy to share the history of their town. I grabbed one of each of the bakery items, and they were kind enough to hold them for me in case they sold out--so thankful for that. Anyhow... holy lemon curd! That is delicious! They should sell it in a jar--yes, please! The sourdough bread is so cute, and I'm excited to slice into it for a BLT for dinner. If you are in or around the area, I highly recommend making a stop--especially if they have the lemon curd cinnamon rolls.
