I wanted to be adventurous and try out a cafe that I passed by and ordered a matcha. If you look at…read moretheir yelp page, you'll see that no one had posted any matcha drinks and I think I know why. So, I ordered the banana salted matcha since it's one of my fav flavors. As I finished paying, I overheard one of the female workers tell her coworker how she thinks matcha tastes gross and to add banana to it is so artificial. Mind you, the cafe wasn't big and that convo bounced off the walls so I heard them. Anyway, after trying to watch them make the drink, I left and tried it. And sure enough, no wonder matcha is gross to that girl. The quality is very gritty and bitter. It definitely tasted like they used culinary matcha either premade or with hot scolding water. The banana definitely was giving banana laffy taffy flavor. I should've tried an iced latte instead for my caffeine kick..but even then I should've just passed from coming here altogether. Customer service was no bueno enough for me to regret coming in.

The reviews were high and I always love an espresso spot that has monthly specials as I am a sucker for trying out themed or unique drinks. There was another car in front of us so we got to peek at their regular menu for a little bit but it was on their window and pretty small. As we arrived at the ordering spot, we got to see a bigger version of their menu and the May specials (they usually post it online but I don't see the May one). I got the creamy colada while my boyfriend got the Tres Leche Latte. The drinks were made to perfection and hit the spot. The cashier/barista was very friendly, professional and patient with us as she knew it was our first time. She let us know to let her know if we have any questions or to let her know when we were ready as we also told her that we are pretty indecisive. I appreciate that she didn't just keep staring at us or rushed us as that makes me feel really uncomfortable and pressured. However, we were able to select our drinks and enjoy them. Not much to say about the ambiance but I do like the look of their little shop. It is eye catching and gives a welcoming, cozy vibe.

Food Their drink menu includes many of the standard drink options that you would find at most coffee shops. I went with the iced mocha, which was very tasty. Unfortunately, I had eaten shortly before, so I didn't order food, but their breakfast burritos sounded excellent. 5/5 Service Like with any of the drive-thru coffee places, you are prisoner to the amount of customers there at the same time. It took about 10 minutes to get our drinks. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable when we made it to the window. Drinks were made quickly as well. 5/5 Ambiance The building itself was inviting and did a good job at displaying their menus. It was what you would expect for the type of coffee shop it is. 4/5 Avenue Espresso satisfied my itch for coffee. It helped complete the full Washington experience. I would definitely come back.

Love that the cops frequent this place because it's fun to see them during their break laughing with each other, getting to be themselves, and having their own well deserved safe space. Had a great bacon breakfast sandwich. At first I thought, "These eggs look like something you'd get in an institution," but they were fine. The bacon was crispy in all the right parts and the ciabatta type bun was soft on the inside but chewy on the outside. I am so excited at this find and can't wait to have another one tomorrow. The staff is friendly and so are the other customers. I love how if you walk into any Cutters Point there are a couple of people cracking open their Bibles, either quietly studying or waiting for their friends so they can start their Bible Study. I moved to Washington State a month ago and I can honestly say that I've only been to a Starbucks once since I got here (miss their cranberry bliss bars, but they've already run out of stock for the season I guess). Not missing them because I have Cutters now.

Baklava latte- this is more cinnamon-y than I expected but you can still taste the pistachio flavor in the end.
