While visiting the Olympia area, I had designs on getting coffee from one of the drive-thru locations. After some research, I found Avenue Espresso to be highly recommended. Food Their drink menu includes many of the standard drink options that you would find at most coffee shops. I went with the iced mocha, which was very tasty. Unfortunately, I had eaten shortly before, so I didn't order food, but their breakfast burritos sounded excellent. 5/5 Service Like with any of the drive-thru coffee places, you are prisoner to the amount of customers there at the same time. It took about 10 minutes to get our drinks. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable when we made it to the window. Drinks were made quickly as well. 5/5 Ambiance The building itself was inviting and did a good job at displaying their menus. It was what you would expect for the type of coffee shop it is. 4/5 Avenue Espresso satisfied my itch for coffee. It helped complete the full Washington experience. this place is always pretty busy for a reason, they're the best coffee stand in Tumwater. they are also the most affordable. i have a couple coffee stands much closer to my house but i will go out of my way to come here. no matter who's working, my coffee always tastes right. other stands always make it differently and it just doesn't taste right to me... but here? always the same. either myself or my roommate come here almost everyday. the staff are all very friendly. the worst thing that has ever happened to me here was i bought two drinks and they accidentally only punched out my punch card for one drink. that's another plus though, the punch cards! if you are looking for delicious affordable coffee, this is the place to go. don't worry the lines move quick, and i promise it is worth it! they also have food if you want a quick bite to eat :) read more

This stand creates delicious coffee drinks using Batdorf and Bronson coffee. They are super friendly, efficient most of the time (usually have only one barista working and it can get pretty busy so wait time can be a little more than other places), and have reasonable prices. I am a fan! read more

My new favorite coffee shop in Tumwater. Service is always fast and dependable. The girls working are always nice and love to suggest different options. This coffee stand is in the perfect little corner for easy access on and off the freeway. There isn't a lot of options at this end of Tumwater that aren't starbucks or dutch. If you're not going here to get a blended black and white or an iced americano, you're missing out! Get a burrito or 3 and a muffin top too.... Mallory is AMAZING and my lifetime favorite barista. Had a large truck with high beams behind me in the drive thru. Asked him to turn his lights off as my disability flares up with bright lights. He refused. I asked again. He turned them on and off repeatedly. The coffee staff told me he can do whatever he wants. I will never go there again. Staff was cold and dismissive. They told me to stop and he can do whatever he wants. He must be there friend. Cause that was insane and ridiculous. And definitely not safe for disabled individuals to go to. read more

Stopped by this drive thru coffee place on our way through. They were able to make a Red Bull smoothie with Torani syrups. It is pretty close to the ones I make at home. The staff was friendly and answered all of our questions. My only complaint would be that the menu was had small writing and was partially blocked by decorations. read more

On the slower side and coffee is just okay. And when I say they're on the slower side I mean VERY slow side. Their 24 ounce mocha only comes with 2 shots, very weak and doesn't taste like a mocha at all. One of the dark haired girls working today has a serious passive aggressive attitude problem. I have been cheating on my normal coffee drive thru with this one, since my barista is on vacation, and I am really starting to enjoy their coffee more than my normal place. The blonde lady with the nose ring is an excellent barista and knows exactly what she is doing. Never a flat or lukewarm latte from her! They offer a punch card and accept cash and card, so I am a super happy customer. Open early (5, I think) and SO MUCH BETTER than the Dutch Bros (yuck) or any of the Starbucks nearby. read more

My best friend is an "Espresso Nut", as for myself it's "White Hot Chocolate" all I can say is that this place is AWESOME!! and well worth the wait. I know that normally when I get a 24 oz double Espresso Mocha with Carmel it usually cost me for than $15.00 and my best friend usually wishes it was hotter.... NOT THIS TIME... I got both our drinks for under $9.00 and my friend had to let it cool a little before he could drink it. He said... "WOW... Avenue uses Batdorf and Bronson coffee which can't be beat. It's virtually impossible to make wrong. The employees are sweet, fast, and intelligent. The prices are reasonable and they have a large variety of flavors, including sugar free. They carry Lotus and Gosh, That's Good Sugar Free chocolate/white chocolate which is amazing. I go out of my way to get coffee from here instead of another stand because it's always good. read more

I don't think I have ever been to a coffee stand that is sooooo slow! It is ridiculous how long it takes these girls to make a drink. I pulled up to order and the girl was making the cars behind me drink. And took forever to make my lotus. Don't even have to brew coffee for a lotus drink. Quite frustrating. I love your drinks but the fact it takes me 15 minutes to get a drink when there is no one in line is a bit ridiculous. read more

It's sad to see the ratings on this stand so low on here... I've been coming to this stand for about 4 years now and I can tell you that I live in Tenino now and I always GO OUT OF MY WAY FOR THIS COFFEE STAND. I usually get the same drink every time and consistency is definitely something I get. Never burnt coffee, the girls are friendly, quick service, and you can't honestly beat their prices.. they've suggested me drink flavors for my red bull Italian sodas that have become my go-to combinations. read more

Convenient location off Trosper and 2nd. It's the nearest drive thru coffee hut to Tumwater Hill. The line occasionally gets long but I've never waited too long. One visit I had my dog and one of the lady's have me a dog treat for free for my dog. I enjoy the coffee. They are friendly. If I want to sit in a coffee shop I now visit the Flying Top on Barnes/7th on the hill. When I want quick, convenient, don't wanna get out of my car coffee I visit this coffee hut. read more

My mom and I had always gone to Avenue Espresso, especially the ones in centrelia/Chehalis area ( which has always been great experiences ). I worked at A few coffee stands myself so I know how it works. We had got our coffees and when we went to get our change back ($10) we only got a few dimes and a penny or so. Sadly my mom only realized this when we were down the road so she called. They said we could come get it the following Monday and we're very sweet about it. The following Monday rolled around and we went to get it, the lady there looked at the deposit sheets to see exactly how much they were over to see if our story lined up, which was weird because you would think there would be a note written for her? She said they weren't over at all... that means someone got a big tip that day and we lost $10. I'm not saying people shouldn't go there, I'm just saying count how much you got back before leaving. read more
