We asked as we entered and the young man stayed absolutely! Off the bat the customer service was outstanding, he happily and enthusiastically discussed our menu interest items. We ordered a ham/fig panini, tuna sandwich, veggie wrap and a chocolate almond shake. Each item came with your choice of homemade potato salad, fresh fruit or chips. I chose the homemade potato salad-delicious! Creamy, contained a sweet pickle, mustard/mayo and egg. I ate the whole thing. The fresh fruit on my friend's plate were giant red seedless grapes, don't think I've ever seen them that big, had one and it was firm and tasty! As our meals were delivered the waiter said he would bring our dessert over when we were finished. My friend surprised us with the blueberry bread pudding. It was served heated,it was absolutely delicious. Wow. We hit the jackpot finding this place. What a wonderful cafe to have in this community! I ordered a small mac and cheese with pulled pork and he got a smokehouse baker. We both got a side house salad. The food arrived quickly and it looked delicious! Then we dug in and it tasted better than it looked. Even though I got the small I still couldn't eat it all, it was a good sized portion. After we paid our bill via QR code, we looked around the shop they had set up inside. Local artists crafts, artisan snacks, cheeses and of course their smoked salmon for sale. I'm kicking myself for not buying something but I am not worried because we are already talking about going back! I'm really glad that I did! They specialize in unique and/or hard to find types of flour and baking materials. While I am not a baker much at all, I do know and appreciate the difference in types of flour - where and how it's ground - and how it tastes compared to what you would usually find at the grocery store. In addition to the flours that are for sale (either packaged or in bulk), they also have spices, starters, and beans/lentils. There even is a shelf of Chehalis grown wheat flour! So nice to have a locally owned shop selling locally grown products. The owner has his own grinding equipment behind the counter (that is easy to see when he's at it) and was very friendly and eager to answer any questions that I had.
