The service is always on point, but my fiance and I have gotten sick after having their coffee twice now like the coffee was bad. I notice the area to the right up high behind the counter by the preparation area is incredibly dirty - like months/years of build up, and now wonder if they don't clean their machines well at this location. I've had quite a few of their coffees from the grocery store, always fresh and great taste. This one also offers pastries and other temptations.. next time. Traveling the country from coffee shop to coffee shop, meeting after meeting, I had a meeting here at Cutters Point. Walking in it smelled like GOOD coffee and the service was visible walking in the door. Our barista was very energetic and friendly (noticeable from walking in the door). She had the drive through window, the main counter and handled a rush like a natural born barista. Coming from owning a coffee business in the early days of the craze, I can tell you I would of hired her in a heartbeat. She memorized all the orders and had them out faster then i could imaging just based on her multitasking... I could go on. When my meeting of started I found out I was meeting with the owner of the place and made sure to tell him how impressed we both were with the quality and service. Dana really enjoyed the atmosphere it was a rustic industrial look and made our three hour stay feel relaxing, I almost fell asleep at one point while I was working. Last but not least, most places see decaf as a pain in the butt. They did not have any brewed and she quickly brewed me some and she made sure I had fresh decaf throughout the afternoon. Based on multiple negative decaf experiences, I felt very welcome. For that any all the reasons above, whenever we are traveling through Olympia area, Cutters Point will be our refuge. read more

I went to the drive thru on Ruddell Rd. Great customer service. Coffee is good! The only thing that caught my attention is how the drive thru was not thoughtfully set up. Great spot to stop in for a prepared wrap or sandwich along with a handcrafted beverage. Free WiFi and a few outlets for AC adapter plugs. Just ask a barista for the WiFi password. Air conditioned in the summer, appears to have a functional fireplace for the winter months. Especially clean restroom for customers onsite. There's a Starbucks 7 minutes from where I live, but I drive 20 minutes out of my way to sit here by the fireplace, have my drink, and just chill for an hour before I start my day. Love that the cops frequent this place because it's fun to see them during their break laughing with each other, getting to be themselves, and having their own well deserved safe space. Had a great bacon breakfast sandwich. At first I thought, "These eggs look like something you'd get in an institution," but they were fine. The bacon was crispy in all the right parts and the ciabatta type bun was soft on the inside but chewy on the outside. I am so excited at this find and can't wait to have another one tomorrow. The staff is friendly and so are the other customers. I love how if you walk into any Cutters Point there are a couple of people cracking open their Bibles, either quietly studying or waiting for their friends so they can start their Bible Study. I moved to Washington State a month ago and I can honestly say that I've only been to a Starbucks once since I got here (miss their cranberry bliss bars, but they've already run out of stock for the season I guess). Coffee here is DELICIOUS. The baristas are always very friendly and efficient UNLESS you are in the drivethrough. They apparently don't have a working drive thru speaker so each order is done at the time the vehicle pulls to the window. This results in a very long wait during prime morning hours. I would come here every time over Starbucks but I cant afford the 15 (and sometimes longer) wait. Stop in the storefront when you have time and enjoy coffee that way. Otherwise plan on a long wait in the drive thru. read more

So I've been a Starbuck's customer for years. Signed up for their rewards etc. Relative's have worked there and were very pro Starbuck's. I still like Starbuck's and their service is exceptional. However, I wanted to try something different since my last experience there was a little less than. Not service wise, simply facilities wise. You are probably thinking what!?!? The interior is great! It is...however even though they have many areas where you can plug-in and hook-up your devices the Wifi unsecured and frankly, pretty slow. Since that is pretty important to me it drove me to look for other, better options. I've been too Cutter's Point Coffee before but never spent much time analyzing my choices nor did I have a need to hook-up remotely like I do currently. To me coffee, expresso is pretty similar and I'm not going to pull out some coffee pedigree or note where Starbuck's get's their coffee versus where Cutter Point gets theirs. Service was comparable (great!) but what has me is the best Wifi connection I've found while out and about. Maybe since it is secured and you need to go into the store to get the pass code.? Who know's!?! My new go-to spot when I have to hook-up for awhile. read more

Went to cutter point coffee with my daughter just to try their spritzer drinks and review it. We shared a watermelon spritzer with cream and whip cream and it was delicious. The shop itself is a cute shop with seating inside. The only thing was that the menu on the board behind the counter and the listing of flavors menu weren't together. They should make a menu with everything listed in one place so your not looking at flavors and then searching for prices in two different areas. Also there was a homeless guys sitting on the ground in front of the place. So I was hesitant to walk pass him with my 9 yr old daughter in case he was not all there mentally. I wanted to like this place because it's so conveniently located to home and on the way to work. But I was really disappointed. There were two cars in front of me in the drive through and it took 15 minutes just to get to the window. Both cars in front of me purchased one drink. Four people were in and out of the walk-ins before I got to the window. I get it, it's busy. Maybe prioritizing isn't their strong point. I got to the window and ordered, which is where the second star comes in; the girl inside was super nice. I waited about five minutes for my drink while, in the mean time, about five other people inside ordered and received their drinks and left while I sat at the window... staring at my drink that was ready and sitting on a counter the entire time. I think she maybe have forgotten I was even there. I ordered a white chocolate mocha that was cold by the time I made it five miles away and got to try it out. Reheating isn't a big deal, except that there was some kind of raspberry or similar flavoring added to my drink. Disgusting. To top it off, I wasn't able to eat the scone I ordered because it was so hard i could barely chew it. It tasted like what I imagine cardboard tastes like. Zero flavor. All things considered, I wasted $10 and 20+ minutes of my time. I will definitely be taking a few extra minutes to stick with Dutch Bros. from now on. read more

It works as far as a coffee shop can work in a functioning aspect. They have coffee and you can buy it. As far as the women working there are concerned, if you aren't one of their regular tip donators, they might as well kick your dog down the stairs rather than look at you. They just treated me like I was a turd covered in burnt hair, and now I can hear them saying hello to people coming in that they know on a first name basis. So let me get this straight cupcake, you want me to court you and take you to the barista prom or whatever for you to say hello to me like a regular person when I order some of your "coffee." It seems like I dish out a lot of 5-star reviews, but I think it's just that I am more likely to bother writing a review when I really like a place. Cutter's Point has great coffee. This location and the others. A nice selection of baked goods too. I like to support local businesses, but I draw the line where their product does not measure up to that of national chains. That is not an issue here; their coffee is every bit as good as any regional, national, or international chain, and definitely better than a lot of them. Very friendly service. Prices are fair, maybe slightly lower than some other places. Comfortable atmosphere too, with lots of seating. read more

Consistently horrifically slow! WHY do I keep going back to this drive-thru? Why? ...and the coffee is truly hit-or-miss. Often just wimpy and milky. The Cutters Point in Hawks Prariie is always quick and the coffee is always rich and tasty - no matter what small variation I request. this particular location has been less than satisfactory for years. Consistently good service and drinks. The staff make an effort to learn who the regulars are and what you like - which is always nice to see in a local coffee shop. It's more personable!
