I'm really glad that I did! They specialize in unique and/or hard to find types of flour and baking materials. While I am not a baker much at all, I do know and appreciate the difference in types of flour - where and how it's ground - and how it tastes compared to what you would usually find at the grocery store. In addition to the flours that are for sale (either packaged or in bulk), they also have spices, starters, and beans/lentils. There even is a shelf of Chehalis grown wheat flour! So nice to have a locally owned shop selling locally grown products. The owner has his own grinding equipment behind the counter (that is easy to see when he's at it) and was very friendly and eager to answer any questions that I had. I will definitely spread the word about the Grist Urban Stone Mill to all of my baking friends!

My husband bought it as a Christmas gift after I wouldn't shut up about Kingsolver's book, "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle." Happy Hen delivers, which is SO cool for a working-mom-who-cooks-most-nights. Every week is like Christmas all over, and we are getting to try veggies we've never had - like garlic scapes (the top green part) and some tuber I can't remember the name of. Our subscription includes weekly free-range eggs, and other occasional treats like bread, honey, organic walnuts, and an end of season tea towel. What a great little find of a place in the hamlet of Adna! The main building itself is a small market. It has the usual staples of a grocery store, but not a huge selection of items. That's okay though, as one wouldn't expect a big in-stock set of products. They have the main things though (bread, snacks, canned goods, cold beverages, etc.). On the other side of the building is the grill/ice cream stand. My, oh my! This was amazingly good! Finally, after three years of living in Lewis County, we have found our "go-to" burger place! They have the absolute BEST Cheeseburgers we've had in years. Fresh meat (that has to come from a local butcher or something) and a bun that is to die for, makes this sooo good; and well worth the 15-20 minute drive. Not to over-use "the best" moniker, but we also ordered Fries and Onion Rings and yes ... they were the BEST! Like we've never had before, they covered the Fries with seasoned salt (one of my favorite seasonings to use on meat but never thought to use on fries). The Onion Rings were perfectly fried and the onions themselves we delicious and were easy to bite into. For the beverage front, we all ordered Shakes. They have about 20 or so flavors to choose from. Between the four of us, we got 2 Chocolates, 1 Strawberry, and 1 Banana. The Chocolates and Strawberry were given a perfect score. The Banana (my choice) would be given a near-perfect score (could've used a wee bit more banana flavor) but I would definitely order it again. One doesn't always find banana shakes, and this one is up to par. They have some great outdoor seating options, as the food ordering is a walk-up situation with no indoor seating available. Plenty of choices of either sunny or covered picnic tables. The other great thing they have to offer is Jim's Smokehouse. This is a locally sourced butcher that has a number of freshly prepared meats for sale. Last year, we ordered our St. Patrick's Day Corned Beef from them and it was superb! Am looking forward to ordering it again this year! We will definitely be back to the Adna Grocery for burgers, fries, onion rings, shakes, and (even though we didn't try them) ice cream cones. Friendly staff, welcoming customers that were there as well, and great food as a very reasonable price. What else could you ask for?

This was the only place that showed up with legitimate pictures of a healthy hot sauce shelf. I think I had to go to 2 or 3 aisles to find all of them. Mexican pastries, Japanese sauces you won't find at Safeway, just an awesome selection. They even had a tent outside with massively out of season items. I saw a house painting kit, with a roller and VHS tape. I almost bought it out of nostalgia. Wonderful store, happy employees. Thank you for being here.

A bright, cheery supermarket full of exciting and interesting products along with the staples, now…read morebeautifully organized and much more inviting after a stunning remodel that opened up tremendous space in front. I learned this when I had to start shopping here again, after a three-year personal boycott, because I lost my car and could no longer get to Safeway. Why the boycott? Because of a thing that happened to my husband and left an awful taste in my mouth: While shopping at Fuller's in 2022, Christopher poured himself a fountain drink and, on his way to the register, took a sip. It tasted weird. Standing in line, he checked twice more, and it tasted strangely like ammonia. When he asked the cashier's permission not to buy it, the young man said, "Sure!" and relieved him of the poisonous-tasting beverage. That was the normal part. Two weeks later, when Chris was leaving Fuller's with some purchases, a very young security guard (maybe 18) stopped him in the parking lot and showed him three surveillance photos, printed on three separate pages: one for each of the three sips Chris had taken from his unsavory drink. He asked Christopher to come back inside, under threat of calling police. After leading my husband back into the store and upstairs, followed by another employee to keep him from bolting, the guard admonished him for having assumed, two weeks earlier, that his cashier had the authority to let him leave without paying for his drink. The correct procedure, he said, would have been for Chris to buy the drink before taking Sip One; then, if he found it displeasing, he could return it for a refund--presumably from the same cashier who'd abused his authority by allowing Chris to avoid the purchase entirely. Because of my husband's ill-placed faith in the right of that cashier to act efficiently instead of insanely (as in the guard's scenario), releasing him from obligation to buy an inferior product, Chris had to sign a form acknowledging that he was banned for stealing from Fuller's Shop'n Kart--not for one or two years, but ninety-nine. I've waited three years to write this review, partly because I feel sick and exhausted to think about it and partly because it sounds so outrageous that I don't see how anyone will believe it. Instead, I've avoided shopping here until it recently became impossible. Now that I'm forced to return, I spend every shopping trip feeling torn between, on the one hand, loving the store and the many wonderful things it carries, and, on the other, hating myself for supporting a business that will continue exacting revenge over three unpaid sips of a foul beverage for several decades after my husband is dead.
