Great wine, great prices. Definitely recommend if you are in the area. Not a sweet fan, but their sweat wines are definitely top notch.

When visiting the winery on the off season we have enjoyed the quietness of the patio while sipping some Wilhelm Red or Deer Creek White.

It has great ambiance - it feels like a wine tasting room should feel, if that makes sense. They proudly display their well earned awards and the lady who helped my mother and I was very knowledgable. I loved how they clearly had a sweet scale and weren't either pretentious nor poetic in their descriptions which gave a very clear expectation of the tasting profile. I ended up buying a bottle of their Forte Venango which was a fabulous port. I found it smooth, sweet but not super sweet, and very tasty! While I opted for the wine flight trying pinots and the malbec my mother opted for a wine slushy. She very much enjoyed her wine slushy as we discussed wine. I was sorry to hear that they no longer made ice wine due to lack of popularity. My mother said that they had the best ice wine. It was a fantastic stop on my wine tour!

Today I was on a mission to replenish my stock of wine before heading to our next party. A quick trip in and out, and I left with 3 reds and a rose. At the bar, tastings were in full swing. It's a beautiful building, and they have very good wine. We will definitely be back.

The prices were great too! 10/10 would recommend! Can't wait to go back!

I even took home a white wine, which was spectacular. Although I usually prefer reds, I couldn't pass it up. I also grabbed a bottle of the Cayuga for our daughter, which was equally tremendous. While I was busy taking photos of the sign, I noticed a man watching me. I explained that I do this at every spirits location we visit. He introduced himself as Matt and kindly suggested I take pictures from the other side of the property for a better view--and he wasn't wrong. Later, when I got home and researched the place, I learned it had been a farm since 1910, originally owned by the Devenport family until 2017. It briefly passed to another owner before being taken over by the third owners, who I met without realizing at the time. I can't wait to revisit this incredible hidden gem!

We got their mead flight ($15) and the Meadville Mule ($12) to split. The mead flight included the Traditional Honey, Sour Apple, Stone Fruit, and Cranberry Blueberry. All of them were very sweet but my favorite was the Cranberry Blueberry because it had the most flavor but the Sour Apple was a close second just because it is such a unique flavor for mead. The Meadville Mule was also very good, they used their Sour Apple Mead to make it which definitely mellowed out the sweetness. The food smelled really good so if we were to come back we'd definitely try it out!!

Blissful Meads has a cute location in Meadville with a casual atmosphere. The meadery had a few customers inside who seemed to be regulars. We opted for a mead flight and loaded nachos. The Blissful Nachos were fantastic! They did not skimp on anything. It was so well balanced too - each bite seemed to have a great amount of beef, cheese, jalapeño, and black beans. I even liked the olives and I typically don't eat olives. Even when we approached the bottom layer I was still enjoying a full mix of food instead of a plain chip layer I often find in loaded nachos. I can only imagine how tasty their street tacos must be! Now for their meads, my mother didn't care for them but I wasn't too surprised. Mead can be a bit of an acquired taste. I personally enjoyed the mead flight. Most were very good ranging from light and semi-sweet to quite sweet. The tasting board was very well done and I appreciated the variety. I would have loved to know more about the type, history, and all that but they were a bit busy. It was a great stop.

When you arrive, you realize that it really is a "cellar" as the tasting room is located in the basement of a house. When you walk in the door, it is very tastefully decorated, and very warm and welcoming. When I arrived, nobody was there to greet me, but there is a button to push, and a gentleman came down momentarily. He was very knowledgeable of his products, and told me a little bit about where he sources his honey (some of it sourced locally), and promptly started pouring me a variety of samples for me to taste. There were a multitude of various bouquets, and flavors, sweet, dry, fruity, etc., and something for a wide variety of palettes. I settled on purchasing two types, one being a semi-sweet made with orange blossom honey, and the other, a black mead made with fresh currents. These will be served at the dinner table with our holiday meals. Very cool place, and I highly recommend the experience.
