We booked a 12 person table for a friend's birthday at Wildwood's. The waiter was beside himself thinking, "what do I do, and how do I serve this large table?" It took about twenty minutes for him to approach us. He decided to just get our drink orders, I was famished so I requested an appetizer along with my drink and told him, I want the prawn in spicy tomato sauce. What he brought me was an apple flavored drink called Appetizer, "Um, what is this?" I explained I wanted a 'starter' aka 'appetizer' and gave him the name for the second time, this time I changed my order to Mediterranean Platter for two, it should have been called the Mediterranean Platter for one, there was only two pieces of meat salami and prosciutto and a tiny bit of mozzarella cheese and a tiny piece of flat bread cut into four pieces. So I am still starving. I ordered the Super Food salad, it was tiny, gone in three bites and I am a petite woman. I was pretty disappointed in the salad because I had my heart set on it from always gazing at their menu when I walked by. This is not a Super Food salad but a salad that will leave you Super Hungry! I ended up eating a piece of my husband's pizza's and his crust he didn't finish, I was eating his scraps because I was still hungry but the menu is quite pricey, and I couldn't afford to order more. They didn't even bring enough water. In the time it took for this waiter to meet and greet us, I worked for Landry's Inc. for years, within that 20 minute period, drinks would have been delivered, appetizers already ordered and complementary bread sticks and salads given to the guests to keep them happy until their food came. There are no complementary bread sticks, would be a great addition to the tiny portions they serve. I did see that their pork burger was huge, so next time I go I will order that because at least I know I will leave full not scrambling for second hand scraps of left over pizza crust that my husband didn't want because that is just plain disgusting. read more
