Zizzi is a chain restaurant and I feel like if you've been to one then you've been to them all. The service is usually pretty quick and they have lots of pasta and pizza dishes to choose from. The garlic bread is tasty and the prices are reasonable. read more

Excellent food and service tonight by Claudia and Mark! We called late for 20+ party and they did a tremendous job hosting us and handling individual billing. Highly recommend the goat's cheese and Caramelized onion arancini, the wild boar pasta or carbonara pasta, all pizzas and the piccante (spicy) drink. Well done! read more

This is a family friend restaurant that will not mind have little children and large parties. On this night, there looks to be ~3 wait staff and a manager responding to customers. Due to this, it will take them a bit longer to come by and check on your needs, especially if you are with your young kids. If you want to dine and not be rushed this is a great place to sit, eat, and look over the park. If you have kids, then you will need to be proactive and they will not mind. I had the king prawn linguine and the vanilla pannacotta. The linguine was spicy and has slices of the pepper. The pannacotta was creamy and light.The foods came out promptly both times. Good Work Zizzi! The staff here coped well with our huge group of 'hens' even though we had just finished a cocktail class...so were all tipsy and pretty excitable. There were a few other large groups, so they must be used to it. We had the set menu which involved a whole range of starters to share. I then had a MASSIVE pizza followed by some sorbet... the pizza was delicious, although a teeny bit burnt on one edge. The sorbet was the perfect way to finish the meal without keeling over from fullness. I have been to zizzi a couple of times now in different cities, and it seems to be a pretty reliably stress-free, tasty place to eat. p.s. Goodness! That is a harsh review from Brad Y!! I was thinking of going for an A-OK 3 stars, but I think I will round it up to 4, to counteract the harshness of his review. Nice and family friendly restaurant on busy Regent Street with a back window to Parkers Piece. We came with a large group of friends and the staff was very helpful in arranging tables. The restaurant has a spacious feel to it and is nice and light inside. Open kitchen with a "fake" pizza oven. We even had a table in the afternoon sun. Nice! The food was decent albeit not too generous in portions (except for the calzone). This means you have to order a starter or a side dish with your main to be fed properly. With a variety of dishes most of us ended up paying about 12 pounds each without desert. Service was very attentive and filled our water pitcher several times without us asking for it, which I thought was great service. Verdict: Quality and price between "Bella Italia" and "Jamies Italy". The food is solid and tasty, but portions are too small to take a main only. A three course dinner will cost approx. 15-17 pound. Very good for large groups, which is rare in Cambridge. Shame though that I am not aware of a non-chain Italian restaurant among the Carluccios, Zizzis and Bella Italias ... Best pizza is still served at The Red Bull. read more

the two waiters i interacted were both very rude. acted like we were stupid when we asked simple questions about our drinks and gluten free items. margarita pizza was greasy and couldn't be called margarita, salmon was also bad. the non alcoholic drinks tasted like alcohol was in them and didnt come out till after we ate. read more

A really friendly, fun atmosphere. Excellent staff, wine, food, view, venue... The works! This is our favourite place to eat in Cambridge especially as we both love Italian food. I really could eat here every day. Booking during the normal peak days Saturdays for example is recommended to ensure you get a table. read more

We tried this place last night, and frankly the food was mediocre at best, and the service was absolutely terrible. Skip the "little soul breads" they are essentially dinner rolls with sub-par sauces, and things called pesto that are most certainly NOT pesto. The pizza was decent, but really nothing to write home about and overpriced for what it was. Our servers were extremely rude, the woman spilled our wine all over the place and then ignored us for the rest of our visit. We ordered the three-part menu for our son and were never offered dessert, but after waiting over 30 minutes for our check to arrive we had about had it. I would definitely not return. The only reason for two stars is they provide stickers for children's menus, but what is the point if they treat you like garbage and short you on things you paid for? read more

Have been here several times and always love the food here. Setting is lovely, looks out onto parkers piece, food of course is italian and is pretty athentic, love the calzone folded pizzas and all the pasta dishes, find the quality good and the service can be slow but they have offered us drinks because of this which goes down well so they try their best. Always friendly, and this makes me want to come back, they seem to value the customers here. read more

First off this was hands down the best service I have had at a restaurant in the UK yet! We were seated right away, drink order came quick, followed by the food order, we must have been checked on 5 times during the meal. The food was great, everything was cooked properly and it came quickly. All in all if you are looking for good Italian in Cambridge don't overlook this place. read more

I stopped in with two hungry kids--they loved the pizza and the gelato/sorbet. We even had to come back again a few days later for more. I liked the pizza, too, but I preferred the calzone I had the second time around. The first time the place was quiet, and the second time was a busy Friday night--but both times we had great, attentive, speedy service (although the hardworking staff all seemed *extremely* busy the second time around!) We just recently came to Zizzi's they had flies EVERYWHERE it was disgusting. The service was okay took them a while to take our order.

this is a very famous and popular italian restaurant in a very popular area of cambridge, called regent street. the atmospehere is very quiet and posh. friday night is always very busy, so the foos always comes quite slowly, but the quality is very good. i really like the veggie spinach folded pizza. we went there for a xmas party and i think we will go again. read more
