Cozy setting inside with wonderful and attentive service, second only to the food offerings. You may have as much trouble as we did choosing between the unique pizza options, and if our two choices are any indication, you cannot go wrong with your selection! We started off with the Spinach Arancini; perfectly baked rice balls with a blend of spinach and cheese. We popped into here on a Friday afternoon at 4:30 for a quick snack. It's a nice space and the service was very quick. My wife and I split a pistachio Cannolicchi which was absolutely delicious. A clarification if I may...a deli until 5:30ish and a pizza restaurant after 6-ish. We arrived about 5:15, ordered pizza by the slice and large glasses of wine from the cashier. We found a seat and, within 5 minutes of sitting, we were asked to drink up and remove ourselves from the sit-down side of the restaurant as the staff needed to prepare the dining area for custom-made evening pizza service. There were about 10 of us in the seating area at the time. Had we known of the change of status for the location, our choices may have been different. I believe I had the Crudo here, and I can say that easily it's one of the best pizzas I've had in my life! They use sourdough bread which is not like the usual bread it soaks up the grease and sauce a bit and makes it really juicy and crunchy. A great café in the heart of Cambridge. Stopped by here after I was craving some gelato. Some of the available flavors included: Stracciatell (vanilla with chocolate bits), fragola (strawberry), nocciola (hazelnut), limone di Sicilia (Sicilian lemon), pistachio di Sicilia (Sicilian pistachio), nero fondente (dark chocolate), and ricotta & pistachio chocolate (Sicilian sheep ricotta gelato with pistachio chocolate). Not a good experience. I took my family for ice cream. They charge £4.50 for a twin scoop, but the cup was barely filled. No other place has put such an effort to give as little to the customer as Aromi cafe. As they have done it a second time, it seems like there has been a change of policy. Well, I was already paying an exorbitant amount for a cup of ice cream, but if they want to ruin it for us, then they can keep the ice cream themselves. Place looks nice but the staff is not properly trained. The panini is already made, it just needs a not hot pressing but they can't manage to do that properly. They came to tell me my panini was burned and asked if I wanted something else as that particular one was sold out. I asked for my money back and will eat elsewhere. Delicious pizza and arancini! You can eat there or do take away. Normally you have to queue a bit but nothing crazy. A little bit pricey but the quality of the food is excellent so worth spending a little bit more :) Try arancini with ragù but don't forget the one with spinach...They will be a surprise for your mouth! read more

I have never had Sicilian food before but still, all I know is the food was heavenly. I don't have names for anything I ordered. I just pointed at the things that looked good. I had a panini with rocket, cheese and tomatoes. The bread was thin, crispy, and so delicious! I also tried the pizza with cheese, tomatoes, red onions and a balsamic drizzle. Again the crust was to die for. My other friend got an eggplant sandwich but I didn't enjoy it as much as the other two items. For dessert, I ordered mini tarts. They came with two flavors, pistachio and Nutella. The pistachio one was my favorite! We also tried a dessert with Nutella pressed between the same bread my sandwich came on. It was good but very sweet. I know a lot of people are obsessed with Nutella so if you are one of those I think you will enjoy it. All the portions are very large. Umm it's been months and I'm still thinking about the tiramisu at Aromi in Cambridge. Best tiramisu I've ever had. I wish I had been hungrier to try more of their food; the pizzas and paninis looked delicious here. The place is very cute and the staff is warm and the service is quick! When I came, I was able to find a seat immediately but over the hour I was there, a wait developed for seats. My absolute favorite place to eat in all of Cambridge. There are two locations, the one on the corner has more selection, the one near the alley has gelato. Take your food to go and eat it outside. Gelato: so delicious. So creamy and yet so light. Ask for half one flavor and half of the other. The dark chocolate is rich and creamy, perfectly complementing the strawberry. Lemon and pistachio are also great flavors. Pizza: so delicious. Just get it. Pastries: I tried their financiers and tiramisu. Beautiful appearance and delicious food. I lived next to Aromi for two months as a student at King's College. As a student, I was frequently driven out in search of good food- something different from what I ate every day in the cafeteria. Aromi does indeed have good food. And it's cheap, cheap enough for a student's budget to be able to afford a flat bread pizza and a pastry on occasion. The only downside to this particular shop is that its tiny and poorly organized, with a narrow entry way that makes queuing a nightmare made more complex by the fact that the only menu is an inconvenient glass display with tiny written placards. Nevertheless, if you've got a little bit of patience and a little bit of cash, the food is wonderful. It deserves a go. read more

3.25 stars A quick review, it's been a busy week. (+) Reasonably priced for a large slice of pizza for one (close to £5). Slightly nutty and milky cheese, a nice texture on the bread (light, fluffy, not doughy and baked in a brick oven where you can see on display). Simple flavors that makes into a good pizza all around. (+) Tiramisu was just right. Although I sensed that the dessert menu was priced a bit heavier than their savory menu (based on portion size). (+) There are several locations. I found the corner location (in front of Zizzi's restaurant) served the best pizzas. (-) For all the other franchises? the other locations were a bit disappointing. They have another Aromi just a few paces away. A big warning if you love chocolate like I do, (X) Skip the hot chocolate. The texture tries to mimic real chocolate (gooey, luscious, soft) by instead, replacing it with a combination of chocolate syrup and starch? It's viscous, but unfortunately not luscious. Among us 4, we each took a teaspoon of "hot chocolate" and we were done. When we tried to save the hot chocolate with a cup of milk, they charged us for a cup of latte for the cup of milk. read more

I'm not a sandwich gal, never have been, never will. However, anytime I'm in the city center of Cambridge and have a hankering for lunch, the Sicilian paninis at Aromi are amazing. They are crafted with fresh bread, delicious gooey cheese, just enough meat, and plenty of fresh vegetables. Don't be put off if it's crowded - the service is efficient, friendly and fast, and it's totally worth it! I only wish that they were open for dinner too. read more

(This review concerns the restaurant in Fitzroy Street) It was Literally 30 seconds past 6:00pm on July 22. I was in a hurry for the cinema show and had to catch up with a couple of friends of mine in this restaurant, who were waiting for their order while it was being reheated in the oven. Thinking I still had time, I asked for a slice of pizza. The girl at the till told me that, since they were closed (no closed sign at the door yet), I could only have the pizza COLD. Seriously??? You were reheating pizzas for my friends and a third customer, and you could not serve me mine? Clearly, the problem was not with the transaction because I was nevertheless offered a COLD pizza. Worst case of customer care I have ever witnessed this side of the planet (and bad case of food that most likely got wasted after closure). Of note, one of my friends asked the girl to cut the focaccia in three parts so that we all could eat and allegedly made a grimace and commented sarcastically. Will NEVER, EVER step foot in this restaurant ever again, and I suggest you do so too. There's is a much better and much nicer Italian deli round the corner, Signorelli's. I'm Italian, and Aromi's pizzas and focaccias are quite bland and heavy compared to others. read more

The bread dough is made fresh and cooked on the spot and the taste is so good that any topping you put on will be very tasty, because the base itself is so tasty. Wonderful sweets, from canoli, to cantucci, to rollé, to semi-freddi cakes. Round the corner from the original shop they have now opened Aromi 2. This is the one selling the ice cream, the best ice cream I have tasted to the west of Bologna (I have in mind La Sorbetteria Castiglone there - check it out on Yelp) If you do visit Cambridge and want to try something authentically Sicilian, family-owned and keep out of the corporate chain restaurants, this is the one for you. read more
