    Cannolicchi
    Ross K.

We popped into here on a Friday afternoon at 4:30 for a quick snack. It's a nice space and the service was very quick. My wife and I split a pistachio Cannolicchi which was absolutely delicious. The filling was soft and creamy and the shell was firm and crunchy. We already want another one!

A great café in the heart of Cambridge. Stopped by here after I was craving some gelato. Some of the available flavors included: Stracciatell (vanilla with chocolate bits), fragola (strawberry), nocciola (hazelnut), limone di Sicilia (Sicilian lemon), pistachio di Sicilia (Sicilian pistachio), nero fondente (dark chocolate), and ricotta & pistachio chocolate (Sicilian sheep ricotta gelato with pistachio chocolate). Inside, there's about 4-5 tall tables, each seating 4, and a couple of small tables, each seating 2. I definitely want to go back and try some of their authentic Sicilian pizza.

Just took a couple of spoons before I remembered to take the picture.

Not a good experience. I took my family for ice cream. They charge £4.50 for a twin scoop, but the cup was barely filled. No other place has put such an effort to give as little to the customer as Aromi cafe. As they have done it a second time, it seems like there has been a change of policy. Well, I was already paying an exorbitant amount for a cup of ice cream, but if they want to ruin it for us, then they can keep the ice cream themselves. The staff was useless, and rude so if you want to stress yourself with poor service at a high price, Aromi Cafe can be a candidate to ruin your day.

    Amazing pistachio tiramisu!

Nice food, relaxing space, full of light, Greta place for working and people watching.

best pizza i've ever eaten in my life. and i was eating it from a paper bag. sourdough crust was so soft and fluffy but not like cakey or bready, tomato sauce tasted fresh, mozarella was amazing and i don't even like cheese that much. now for the desserts, the pistachio tiramisu was delicious but got too heavy pretty quick. but the pistachio cake. THE PISTACHIO CAKE. it's been months and i still think about it quite often. please come to the US i am begging.

Has potential and looks nice but burnt paninis?? It's the main thing you sell yet they can't manage to hear it up properly?

Place looks nice but the staff is not properly trained. The panini is already made, it just needs a not hot pressing but they can't manage to do that properly. They came to tell me my panini was burned and asked if I wanted something else as that particular one was sold out. I asked for my money back and will eat elsewhere. Ordered their pistachio latte and it just taste like a plain latte. Will not come back to this location.

I have never had Sicilian food before but still, all I know is the food was heavenly. I don't have names for anything I ordered. I just pointed at the things that looked good. I had a panini with rocket, cheese and tomatoes. The bread was thin, crispy, and so delicious! I also tried the pizza with cheese, tomatoes, red onions and a balsamic drizzle. Again the crust was to die for. My other friend got an eggplant sandwich but I didn't enjoy it as much as the other two items. For dessert, I ordered mini tarts. They came with two flavors, pistachio and Nutella. The pistachio one was my favorite! We also tried a dessert with Nutella pressed between the same bread my sandwich came on. It was good but very sweet. I know a lot of people are obsessed with Nutella so if you are one of those I think you will enjoy it. All the portions are very large. They also had a gelato place outside that looked amazing but we were too full to try it. Read more about our day trip on my blog flipflopsandfloopowder

Welcome to Sicily! Aromi is a café and deli, come here to stock up on essential ingredients or take a seat and relish a spinach and mozzarella arancini or a mouth-watering cannoli with a lovely cup of coffee. Try their italian-style ice-coffee (not the english latte-style)! Wooden tables, recyclable cutlery, welcoming staff (clearly directly imported from Italy/Sicily), a great place to stop by for a quick bite.

Delicious pizza and arancini! You can eat there or do take away. Normally you have to queue a bit but nothing crazy. A little bit pricey but the quality of the food is excellent so worth spending a little bit more :) Try arancini with ragù but don't forget the one with spinach...They will be a surprise for your mouth!

Amazing food, great ambiance, efficient and friendly staff and a trendy decor! What else do you need? The display looks amazing when you walk in.

    Vegitariana £4.5 of yummy goodness
    Jiwon K.

There was a line out the door when it wasn't even lunchtime, but the wait is certainly justified. I had the vegitariana, which is tomatos, onions, and cheese with a balsamic drizzle, with an aranchini on the side. The crust of the pizza is amazingly crisp and tender. The aranchini was also cooked and seasoned just right without being too greasy or saucy.

Solid Sicilian pizza located in a nice stretch on Bene't Street. Interestingly I liked the sample slice better than the full slice I ordered which was the same pizza. Their crust is a bit thinner than other Sicilian pizza I've had. I liked their decor and the staff was nice. When in the area and craving pizza, I would stop in again.

The worst service I have in Europe. The lady took order is very rude. Food quality is bad too. I would like to give negative star, if I can

The ice cream is very tasty but somewhat overpriced. Same with the pizzas, service can take a while but the wait is worth it.

At first, the rustic decor, amazing aroma and friendly staff make it feel like a treasure trove to a cheeseoholic such as myself, but unfortunately that initial excitement quickly turns into disappointment. Granted, the staff are very knowledgeable about cheese, but they are less skilled at the practical side of their job, such as cutting a slice anywhere near to the weight specified by their customer or adding up prices correctly. Adding this to the rather high prices to begin with, leaves one's wallet in severe danger of starvation.

It's pretty rough when such a "fabulous" Italian restaurant serves up expensive take away pasta that is possibly not as good as something you could get much cheaper from Sainsbury's. :(

Once again, it is I...the trailblazing travelling Yank, getting another first review, by merely…read morereviewing something not in London. Carluccio's is the best of average food served in an open, airy environment, with lots of light, facing out on a pretty square with a sculpture that my 3-year-old wanted to climb over. The pasta is fresh, but still manages to be quite non-superior. If you've ever read my other reviews, you know that my son has coeliac disease, and for us, this is the big draw for Carluccio's, who will server gluten-free (GF) penne with any of the pasta sauces on the menu. And for that, we will always love them, and go back. But the sad part is that if it weren't for that, we wouldn't be overly inspired to return. The Ravioli is well advertised on the menu as "the traditional way Italians eat it" with butter and sage. Unfortunately, butter and sage can only be so interesting and aren't worth £8. My wife and son had the GF penne with the pommodoro sauce, and the pesto respectively. The pommodoro was uninteresting and the pesto was sparse. I tasted a bit of the sauce on the gnocchi, and that was approaching more what I like in a sauce, with more flavor and a hint of garlic. The brightest spot on the menu is the penne giardiniera, with fried spinach balls, which I find to be extremely fun! They are like little fried crispy spinachy bird nests, with the dish accented with red pepper. And the bruschetta is delicious, too (but it's hard to mess up bruschetta!) Service was friendly, helpful, and prompt, so full marks there, but for all that it promises, they just fall a bit short on the food side of things. I'll definitely be back, but we won't be rushing there. For us, it's just a great place to take our son with so many limitations on where we can eat in public, it's nice to have a place that will do GF on demand.

As soon as I looked at the menu, I knew I had made a mistake. This place seems to be solely for the purpose of drinking wine, not, as I expected, a good place to try new wines with different food pairings. Perhaps if there were more people in my party or if I had not been on a budget, this purpose would have been better accommodated. However, I accepted that I had sat down here and decided to give it a chance. The first thing, obviously, was to order a drink.Their selection of rose and cider was abysmal, no more than two options for either. At first, I thought, "Well, it is a WINE bar," but then I continued looking through the menu and their offerings of gin, whiskey, and other spirits was quite impressive. While it was possible to order reds and whites by the glass, there was only one 'by the glass' option for champagne, rose, and sparkling wines, and I was not in the mood to have to mull over the menu again if I did not like their selection. So, I ordered the cider. When the waiter brought it over, I noticed something on the inside of the glass, but when I looked up to tell him about it, he had already gone. I waited for him to come back, which took five minutes and I did not receive an apology, which I was not hung up about but it is still good customer service to do so. Once he returned and I tried the cider, I found it quite sour and not to my taste. The wines had descriptions so I felt one for the ciders and ales would have done very well. As for food, their offerings were mainly cheese and charcuterie dishes. I was looking for something more substantial, but it would have been rude not to order anything so I ordered the bread board, which is merely bread and olive oil. It was perfectly fine. The service was not anything to be impressed by. The waiter was not friendly at all. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very touristy, at least to me. Perhaps this is due to its location on the river, where students and companies are trying to get the tourists to go on a punting tours. Overall, unsatisfactory. Will not be going back.
