This place is absolutely amazing. I first came here doing a film scout - we were looking for a floral shop to film in. But I've since been back as a regular customer and they have some many cute things to buy - and the prices aren't sky high like you might think for a shop like this. I purchased a Eucalyptus & Mint candle and my house spells amazing! I also love their mini dried flower bouquets. They have a candle program where you can bring your used candle jar in and have it refilled for $8. So cool! I will always come here if I need a beautiful gift for someone.. or myself :) read more

You asked me what I wanted, and when I hesitated (because I wanted to ask for recommendations) you became even more annoyed. I told you about something I saw on your website and you immediately quoted me a price. I asked you if the arrangement was a decent size, and you said yes. I started saying that I'm willing to pay more to upgrade, and this was your opportunity to give me a recommendation and sell me something. Instead you cut me off and said that you would have to ring me up now. Your facial expression throughout made it clear that you wanted to end the conversation as soon as possible. The product was nice, but a lot smaller than I expected. All of this felt like I wasted your time and made you work. My apologies, it won't happen again. read more

I've never used Yelp before, but I had such a good experience with Alex at Wildflora that I felt compelled to make an account and share my review. I ordered flowers relatively late on Saturday afternoon and was told that my bouquet could be delivered that day. When Alex was unable to reach my friend before closing for the day, she offered to drive to my friend's address anyway to see if she could leave the flowers on her doorstep. Unfortunately she was unable to enter the complex-- so she wrapped the flowers in water and told me that she'd try to deliver them on Sunday, even though Wildflora is closed on Sunday. She also gave me her personal cellphone number so that I could make sure the flowers were delivered. Ultimately, Sunday didn't work out either, but she tried again -- successfully-- on Monday. Despite multiple delivery attempts, she only charged me for one delivery fee and kept me updated via text the whole time. Plus, the bouquet was beautifully assembled and my friend loved her flowers. Overpriced and bad customer service. We had a trauma in the family and a group of friends sent flowers to me. I'm sure they cost $$$$$. Wildflora forgot the card (and also delivered them when we were out of the house - and did not leave a message. I didn't see them until 24 hours later and they were all dead and wilted. Again, with no card. Called and it took them a while to figure out who sent me the flowers. And even then, I had to contact that person to thank them (late) and ask who else went in on the flowers (awkward). Just a bummer when they were trying to do something kind ..... Wildflora gave no apology for not sending the card. No apology for not leaving a voicemail to tell me the flowers were there. When I told them I thought this was really unfortunate and that the poor flowers were all wilted - they had a manager call me to tell me to bring the arrangement in so they could refresh it. Again, these are sympathy flowers. To suggest I drive over and bring the flowers in ... just tacky. At the very least a simple apology would have been nice and I would have left it at that. But not a single simple "sorry". My business orders from them and we won't be doing so again. read more

I do NOT enjoy writing bad reviews whatsoever, even moreso for businesses I was really REALLY excited to try out. I had been following Wildflora on instagram for quite some time. Their photos of beautiful blossoms and arrangements had me captivated. So much so, that I showed them to my fiancee and told him to make a mental note, that if he ever needed to buy my flowers, this was the place to buy them from. Fast forward a few months of following them, and my fiancee and myself found ourselves needing to get an arrangement of flowers. We were having an engagement party (on Labor Day 9/5/2016) and needed a vase of flowers at the entrance to the house to make a bit of a statement. I made my fiancee drive us here, we talked to Alex and told her that we needed something for our engagment party on Monday (we came in on the Friday a week before labor day). I first started by asking if they were even open or if they'd be able to help us if we needed something for Monday. Alex told us that she would try to arrange for the flowers to be delivered to us on Sunday, if not we would have to come to the store to pick them up. We told her we'd be perfectly fine with picking them up ourselves if need be. We then start to talk about the arrangement itself. I told Alex that the flowers would be sitting on top of a baby grand piano at the entrance to our house and that they were specifically for Monday, our engagement party. She asked if we had anything in mind. I said not really...my fiancee had asked if they could use some dahlias because they were my favorite flowers and Alex said yes. Alex also suggested a color palette of purples, whites and green for the arrangement because we mentioned that our wedding colors were purple and grey. After that we settled on a price range of $150-$175 (ended up paying $180 with tax). I ended up calling them the Saturday before we were suppose to get the flowers to confirm whether they were getting delivered or not and they told me they had arranged for the shop owner next door to be at the shop for us to pick up flowers (strange...but not an issue). We had specified that we needed to pick up at 11AM as we had to be down in the Torrance area by 12P. I confirmed that we would be able to pick up at 11AM from the shop owner next door and the girl had told me yes. My fiancee and I show up on sunday at the shop owners store (the mattress store right next to wildflora) at 11:15AM and he tells my fiancee that he forgot we were even coming and had lent his car to a friend and that the keys to wildflora were on his car keys. We sat there and waited for him to call his friend to come back so that he could get the keys to go into Wildflora and get our arrangement. We're at 11:45AM now and we finally get the arrangment and my initial thought was diappointment. The first thing I noticed were the abundance of CLOSED lillies used in the arrangement, some small purple flowers and some pink roses. (Where did pink come into the color palette?). I immediately looked at my fiancee and said to him "I don't think those flowers are going to open up by tomorrow" and sure enough...none of the closed flowers opened up the next day (the day of our engagment party). The lillies used (and some of the roses) actually didn't bloom until 4 days after our engagment party. So on the day of our engagment party, we had a vase full of what looked like leaves. I was pretty upset at having paid $180 for that. I understand most florist use closed buds to ensure a longer lasting arrangement, but if a client tells you they need something for a specific date, you probably shouldn't use closed flowers, or flowers you aren't sure will bloom in time. I honestly would have been completely fine with a fully bloomed arrangement that had died the very next day after our engagment, because we didn't need them to last, we just needed them for that day. It's like getting flowers for your wedding day and getting centerpieces and bouquets full of closed flowers...what's the point??? We e-mailed Alex and expressed our disappointment in the arrangement and stated that dahlias were not used because she couldn't get a hold of fresh ones (understandable and not a big deal)...as for all the closed lillies, here exact words were "For the lilies some open faster than others. It's difficult to time the opening when I get them in so frequently." Like I said, it just seems like common sense, not to use flowers you won't know if they'll be bloomed in an arrangement a client had expressed was needed to be on display for just the one day. In her defense, she did offer us a 10% discount off our next purchase with her due to our dissatisfaction, but after that, needless to say, we were hesitatnt to go back. I can say that our initial meeting was great and the shop itself is very cute and that's where I give them 2 stars...but I won't be coming back. read more

"PLEASE DELIVER BEFORE NOON", this was my only special request I asked of Wildflora when I ordered my flowers from them a whole day ( 24 hours ) before they needed to be delivered. You see I wanted to surprise my girlfriend with a special bouquet of flowers on her last day at work, before heading to the airport where she was leaving for a month long trip and it was extremely important that these flowers get to her before she left work at noon. But what I got from Wildflora was NOT only did they FAIL to deliver the flowers before noon like I requested BUT then the girl who answered the phone when I called them tried to give me excuses on why they were not delivered before noon like I requested. First excuse she told me was if I wanted them before noon I should have indicated that they be delivered between 10am & 12pm. ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! My flowers failed to get to my girlfriend because I indicated "Please deliver before noon" instead of "Deliver between 10am & 12pm". When I told this girl on the phone how ridicules that excuse sounds, she then switched gears and explained they were short handed and I should just understand. ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! How is it my problem your company can't find reliable work staff or for that matter how quickly Wildflora falls apart when an employee calls in sick. So in the end this is what I got, a pissed off girlfriend who never got my beautiful floral gift before she takes off on a month long trip and the joy of still paying for flowers that no one saw. Wildflora might have amazing looking flowers BUT it means nothing when no one can see and enjoy them. EPIC FAIL!!!!! read more

I had planned to DIY the flowers for my wedding, but after being hired on a demanding freelance job that had me working right up until the big day I realized I needed to hire a florist. A lot of florists have a minimum charge below which they're not willing to work with you, or require a long turnaround time involving several consultations. Wildflora was willing to take on my tiny job (just a bouquet, boutonniere, and flower crown) with only a couple weeks notice, using only a pinterest board for inspiration. I almost cried with joy when we picked up my gorgeous florals. If anything, I was sad that I only got to wear and carry them for a single day. As soon as the Love-of-my-life and I decided to tie the knot, we started the process of searching for the right people to help bring our day to life. We got a list of recommended vendors and Wildflora was one, along with about ten other Florists. As soon a I saw Wildflora's website, it felt right. The pictures were gorgeous, and it had that wild and whimsical feel that I had been ogling on Pinterest for days. We emailed them and they got back to us right away to set up a lil meeting (enter Alex). We met Alex at the shop. The shop itself was gorgeous too, full of not just flowers, but trinkets, treasures, soaps, jewelry ... basically I wanted everything. Everything in there is hand-picked and curated by Alex and the Wildflora team, most of which are made by local artists whom I love to support. Alex, herself, is amazing! She has great energy. She is so sweet and enthusiastic. She listened to what we were after for our big day and immediately took our ideas and ran with it. They worked within our budget and what we got for our big day was BEYOND MY WILDEST DREAMS ... a unique, wild, Bohemian, dream that reflected our love! I remember ... when I arrived to our wedding site on the day-of, Alex and the other vendors were there setting up ... hanging wreaths, and fixing blooms to a tepee my husband had made. When I saw everything I started to tear up (so did Alex BTW). Throughout this process everyone told me that I had to let go of my vision because on the day-of it wouldn't end up the exact way I had imagined. While I understand the sentiment, (in order to stave off disappointment) in truth, I had the opposite experience. It looked better than I could have imagined. Alex and Wildflora brought personality, imagination, and person-ability to their work. We didn't feel like clients, we felt like friends. Their attention to detail is impeccable. I had wanted some bougainvillea for my hair and Alex had created the most beautiful hair clip for me to wear. When the clip began to wilt on a trial run, Alex went back to the drawing board. A self-proclaimed fake flower snob, she found the most beautiful (fake) bougainvillea bloom that I wore ALL DAY on my wedding. It looked SO REAL and I felt so beautiful. In closing I should also mention that Alex and her brother started this business from the ground-up. Their unique vision and care is evident in every detail and in the process of working with them from start to finish. Beyond wonderful customer-care, creativity and design, and implementation.
