Returned last night for dinner and everything was wonderful. Previous visits had been for private events so this was our first regular dining experience. Chopped salad was delicious and even the small size was huge. I took half home...my husband had the prime rib which was so tender, perfectly cooked, very little fat. Yum! It seemed to be a hit with those at the table. I started with a side Caesar salad. It was fresh and savory, is definitely one of the best I've had. The lemon pepper chicken breasts were pretty good . They were quite juicy, and though, while flavorful, I feel could've had a little bit more to offer. I definitely enjoyed it a lot more than I was expecting to. French fries were also really good. We had been to the wildfire Glenview and Oak Brook several times, and we wanted to try Lincolnshire. The food was excellent as usual the service was wonderful and of course the ambience sitting in the bar was great. We did have reservations, but we were running late and by the time we got there we had missed our reservation time. When we got here it seemed crowded but they had a spot for us for no reservations people so that was great because we were kind of in a hurry to eat and go. Anyways I ordered the Crispy Fried Fresh Calamari and the Friday and Saturday special Friday & Saturday Filet Mignon Wellington. I got to say this meal was good I would definitely come back here if I ever visit Chicago again. The waitress was great and always kept all of our waters full. We had a work dinner here for the holidays. They have a separate GF menu with many options. The server offered GF bread to start. I ordered the baked goat cheese with GF pita as an app and it was amazing. For my entree I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich on a GF bun with a-gratin potatoes. Our service for a group of 8 last night was fantastic! The server was super friendly and checked in on us frequently. We were lucky enough to get a private room which was perfect since we had a newborn baby with our group. I started with a french onion soup and it was a great choice. It had a rich onion broth with a broiled cheese top. The chopped salad was perfect as always. The avocado, bleu cheese, and dressing elevate it. I went with the special of the night - a turkey dinner. So yummy! I wish the portion size was bigger. My grandma had it in the past and gotten a bigger portion size. Excellent food, service & ambiance! We visited this restaurant while visiting Illinois, to celebrate my son's birthday. The day before arriving, we made a reservation. Due to travel delays, we had to change the reservation time, which they were super understanding and accommodating. The restaurant was kind of hidden behind a hotel. It did have ample surface parking. When you enter, you're greeted by friendly staff. The ambiance is quaint and pleasant. Seating is abundant and comfortable. The food was excellent. I had a spicy margarita, which was absolutely delicious. Our server was kind and attentive. Shoutout to the manager who graciously treated us to dessert as we visited for the first time. The flourless chocolate cake had more a brownie consistency to me, but it was still good. My husband enjoyed his cherry pie. It feels like a bit of a time warp, stepping into Wildfire. The dark woods, the cozy booths, the crooners over the sound system..,it feels like a 1930s supper club .., which isn't a bad thing. Expect traditional fare and you will be right at home. The skillet cornbread came out hot from the oven, the pan was smoking hot, and the butter just oozed over it. It was crisp outside, soft inside with kernels, and this might have been enough. My companion ordered crab and shrimp bisque which was thick, rich and decadent. They also had an enormous shoe-sized baked potato. I had the macadamia nut encrusted halibut which was buttery, crispy and with a rich sauce and flaky white halibut. The au gratin potatoes were soft, tender and indulgent. The creamed spinach was ok -- I think it had too much nutmeg for my taste. My other companion had the medallion trio which had different savory crusts like horseradish and blue cheese. They said the filet was very tender but in my opinion was slightly overdone. Service was ok. They checked on us often during the first half of our meal, but once they dropped off the entrees they didn't check back. I would have liked to call their attention to my companion's burger, which looked rare/medium rare instead of medium/well, but they were ok with it so I didn't press it. Normally at an establishment such as this I would like to peruse the dessert selections but by the time they came back I was ready to go. Our meal was quite good but there were areas for improvement. The daily specials sounded interesting so it might be nice to come back during the week to try one of those -- like Monday's Southern Fried Chicken. read more

Food was AMAZING! I'm usually not a fan of any fish, but last visit I tried a family member's halibut and knew I had to get it myself. You have to get the Au Gratin Potatoes they're delicious. I don't know what they put on the roasted market vegetables but I couldn't stop eating them. Definitely worth every penny and that's saying a lot since it's pretty pricy. My server was amazing. He accommodated my boyfriend's picky requests and recommended he get the cottage fries which were also delicious. This place is always very clean and all the staff is very attentive to empty plates and glasses and take them out of the way immediately to make more space. Their bread was also very delicious while we waited for the appetizers. My husband and I celebrated Valentine's Day at Wildfire and had an enjoyable time. The decor inside has an art deco, 1920's, Great Gatsby vibe. It was extremely busy, but the restaurant was clean, and all of the staff were polite and helpful. We had a reservation and were seated within minutes of our reserved time. My husband ordered the Greek salad, Porterhouse steak, and red skin mashed potatoes. I had the crab cake appetizer, lemon pepper chicken, and au gratin potatoes. The mashed potatoes were bland, but everything else was good. We weren't blown away by any of it, but it was good. I went here for my 52nd birthday. Nice staff and knowledgeable. I had the bone in ribeye steak and it was delicious. On a scale of 1 to 10 it is an 11. Pre-pandemic, I frequented Wildfire quite often. I haven't been back in over 5 years, however I now remember why I left. In short, Cathy, the bartender. On a whim, between meetings, I stopped by. Cathy was apparently mid break. She greeted me with a baked potato in hand that she was chewing. Luckily, there was another server and I placed an order with him. Maybe 15 minutes later, Cathy came back still eating. The busser tried to remove the unfinished baked potato, but Cathy wasn't finished. I question what she spent the 15 minutes doing if not finishing that potato?!?!? When she returned, I had to ask for everything. The to go, the check, etc. The couple next to me, who actually ordered based on my recommendation, was served well. Cathy was very accommodating. For me, not so much. She boxed everything and made sure their every need was met. The husband shrugged at me. He didn't know why I was being treated differently. My last review of this place was almost 10 years ago. I would say that Wildfire hasn't changed since my last review so I will give them that they are consistent. Unfortunately, the consistency of this restaurant is that they are inconsistent with how well they cook their steaks! I visited this a couple months ago with 12 other co-workers and my bone-in ribeye was cooked perfectly. I ordered it medium rare and whoever the chef was that day cooked it so perfectly that I wanted to give him a hug. My 12 other co-workers also raved about how great each of their entrees were prepared. I went again just a week ago and my bone-in ribeye was completely overcooked. I hate bothering steakhouses by sending back an overcooked steak because I feel that it's such a waste of a steak. But it was so overcooked that it was inedible to me. I will say that the waiter and manager immediately took action and had a new steak prepared for me which is great service. They came back with a rather rare steak but I much rather prefer that than anything overcooked. They also gave me a new side order with my new steak which was so thoughtful. Side dishes are always great so you won't go wrong with any of the selection they offer. In summary, service is great and food is really delicious if you get the right chef on the right day who can deliver on the way you want your steak prepared. read more

While we didn't come here for dessert, I will say that the table behind us only asked us about the dessert we ordered: the triple layer chocolate cake with whipped cream drowning in chocolate sauce. At Wildfire, here's a piece of advice: don't order the special. They have a daily special listed in the menu. It never changes for that day of the week. They also give you a list of "specials". The trio of filet medallions is always on the menu along with a couple fish options. Skip these and order off the menu. We started with the goat cheese and marinara appetizer. You can never go wrong with this. It was really good l, but restaurants never give enough bread or crostinis with it. We then got our meals. There were four of us. My wife got the lump crab cake sandwich she thought was just okay (it's always hit or miss with this item). Sometimes good and others not so good. The other couple shared coconut shrimp and a beef medallions dish. There was not a lot of food for two people. I got their prime rib dip sandwich with no changes. It came with au jus and a horseradish cream sauce. I opted for their red skin mashed potatoes (they do them right). The sandwich was perfect! Everyone else's meal was okay. And one of our party got a rum punch mocktail that tasted like a cough drop. No punch, but almost lost her lunch (if ya know what I mean). Still a good, consistent place to get a meal. read more

The one thing is when it is super busy like it was, there was no parking. I circled for about 15 minutes before I could find somewhere to park. They delivered some bread and water and gave us the menus. Our server was friendly enough and attentive. Even though he forgot to ask us which sides we wanted with our entree, when we flagged him down, he took care of the situation swiftly. For a starter I got the Caesar salad, entree 14oz NY Strip with the parmesan crust, au gratin potatoes, and for dessert cherry pie. Our order came out at the perfect timing and everything was correct. I loved the taste of the parmesan crust on the steak, it added such a delicious flavor. When a restaurant serves au gratin potatoes I'm sold because you really see them anymore. The flavor of the potatoes paired perfectly with my steak. I've been to the Schaumburg Wildfire many times. This is the first time I've been to the Lincolnshire one. The restaurant did not disappoint! They have a quaint bar when you walk in but the dining area was ample. While it very busy inside the restaurant (which good to see) the waitress was still attentive. I was also seated very quickly. The pomegranate martini was excellent and an ample pour. The old old fashioned was also very good. The crab and shrimp bisque was amazing! Their onion rolls were fresh and delicious (and I usually don't like onions). The bourbon beef tips with Ajou was very good and the mashed potatoes are always fantastic. I will definitely be back since I'm in the area often! They definitely earned their five stars! read more
