Thanks you Dustin so much for the excellent customer service and answering all my questions. My boyfriend and I were both able to purchase our firearms and they were exactly what we were looking for. I truly appreciate the 2A support here in Cali. They really help us out. They do a decent job of getting selection of firearms considering the current situation. However the ads on line stated "ready to ship" is not met and shipping status is slow on supposedly in stock items. Status update: Bryan from WBT reached out to me explained the hold up and insured they'll get my order out ASAP! That's excellent customer service and a company that earns their clients and customers respect and loyalty. Keep up the excellent service WBT read more

Ordered online. Terrible customer service. Can't get anyone to respond. Wouldn't recommend buying online

I was in the market for a certain rifle that was Ca compliant and came upon Wilde built tactical, I saw they had what I wanted online in stock and placed my order on a Friday. I came to Yelp for reviews and saw there were a bunch of negatives reviews from about a year ago about orders not shipping or taking an extremely long time so I was now hesitant about my purchase. But come the following Tuesday I received an email that my order had shipped ! Order arrived to my ffl within less than a week, would not hesitate ordering from them again read more

I cannot say enough GOOD about WBT! As a long time customer, I am compelled to tell the world about this wonderful store. You will not find a friendlier staff in ANY similar business. You will not find a larger or better selection of weapons and gear than you will in this store. Your buying experience will always be top notch because the entire staff is customer oriented and determined to please the customer. The prices are very competitive and every purchase and transaction I've done here has been flawless, fair, and pleasant. You can't go wrong visiting WBT. Give them a visit! read more

Amazing staff. Super knowledgeable and resourceful. Had a couple specific pieces I was looking for and they were able to accommodate. Highly recommend. read more

Very happy with the customer service here. We decided to purchase our first gun for home protection and the owners took their time talking to use, giving us options, and really cared about finding the best product for us. This is a family run shop and it is clear that even during this time of uncertainty their main priority is customer satisfaction. They worked with our budget and made time for us in their busy schedule. I recommend this shop for customer service, quality, and honesty. read more

First time customer, and I couldn't have been any happier. With how busy all firearm shops have been lately, and the delay with DOJ getting the DROS' done. Everything went smoothly! From setting the appointment to do paperwork, and picking up, I couldn't have been any happier! Thank you WBT, you definitely have a customer for life in me, and my family! read more

I can not say enough good things about Wilde Built Tactical and those who work there. I was somewhat nervous going in to start the process, however, I was made to feel at ease and most of all, I felt welcomed. There was a lot to learn and I am so thankful for the guidance provided. Thank you! I purchased my first shot gun here and I will come back for my gun needs. Without hesitation, I highly recommend Wilde Built Tactical to anyone looking for a great place to purchase their next firearm. They are knowledgable and friendly. read more

I usually don't write reviews but I felt the need to to help counter the recent unfavorable ones. First of all, it should be obvious why WBT has a great overall rating with most of their 1-stars being written in the last 4 months. They are a very small brick and mortar business which also happens to have an online store unlike most other FFLs in socal. Most firearm dealers have been overwhelmed by covid panic buying, but I speculate WBT have been exceptionally busy due to their online presence. I purchased a firearm in March which was in stock on their website. Just as the site states, they are extremely backlogged and orders will take a lot longer than normal to complete. I waited a little over a month to start the DROS, then another 15 days to pick up. Both visits to the store were met with very professional and friendly service. All I can say is if you are expecting pre-covid response and shipping times you are being unrealistic, and if you are patient, you can easily see what a great establishment this is. I expect I will be doing business with them in the future and hopefully I will not be wearing a mask during my next visit. read more

I believe this place have more and better selection than other places for California complaint firearms. The price is just slightly higher than others but understandable because they have to modify to make it California legal. The only bad thing is it will take a long long time to ship. My firearm was shipped a little over 6 weeks. I would recommend this place only if you not in a hurry. read more

Outstanding team here at Wilde Built Tactical. Prompt responses via email from Kevin and Dustin. We are all aware that Covid has exhausted a lot of inventory. This shop has taken the time and effort to share information and work with me on my journey to acquire a specific rifle. I look forward to continuing my partnership and supporting this local shop! read more

Very professional and efficient. Process made simple. Great service.

Used these guys a couple of time and can highly recommend their professionalism and superior service. The last time I came in with a jammed pistol, Brian worked on it and didn't want any money for his time. How often do you see that, these days? read more

I originally purchased my Expanse in early 2018 and after only 210 rounds my rifle was caught in a house fire. The plastics melted and I thought it was going to be unsalvageable. I took it back to WBT and Brian and the gunsmith stripped and evaluated it and discovered that my receivers were good and I should replace all of the peripherals. Their knowledge was top notch and now I have rebuilt the Expanse and getting it ready to paint and range fire. Thanks Again guys! read more

Run, don't walk, from Wilde Built Tactical. After 15 months of waiting for a rifle I ordered and paid for, and endless insincere promises that were not kept, I finally received a NON- CALIFORNIA COMPLIANT rifle. My FFL advised me to send it back. I did and a couple of months after that it was sent back to me worse than the first delivery with further illegal features. Again I sent it back and had to practically beg them to remedy the illegal features and send it back. Endless calls and emails later I finally received it back and took it to the range. I was unable to use it because it failed to feed. I took it to three expert gun smiths and paid one a hundred dollars to determine the problem. All of them advised me to send it back to the manufacturer at my cost! They were baffled. I sent it back to Wilde Built demanding they either remedy the problem or send back my money. After more pleas for a reasonable turn around time, and further delays, WBT sent me my money but did not return requests for the legal mods I had to make to the rifle at my cost. WBT promised to return the cost for those mods, but never have. If you dislike yourself and wish to ruing a year and a half of your life, buy from Wilde Built Tactical and suffer the consequences. Be a masochist if you wish. But never again will I believe their lies. I bought another rifle from a local FFL and it works perfectly and it took exactly the waiting period for me to get this fine rifle. No lies, no false promises, just good business. I regret having to award one star to get this review published. I would prefer to award minus one star! read more

Great family business and I'm very pleased with my purchase and overall experience. I will be a repeat customer.

Amazing staff, all work here is done 100% by the book and by people who really do know what they are doing. I drove a considerable distance to come here because of their customer service and reputation. read more

I am located a little north of the store and reached out to them for a specific item (After calling literally 100 stores up and down the state that didn't even want to give me the time of day). The customer service was phenomenal considering the amount of calls, emails and facebook messages Wild Built is getting. I was able to communicate effectively and quickly. My order was shipped to FFL within a week (Need to be patient in these crazy times). It is quite obvious the negative reviews are from impatient people that just don't get it. I have recommended Wild Built Tactical to all my friends and have nothing but the highest marks for their staff and company. read more

My dad ordered a AR online for a good price. We were having it shipped from SD to LA but my dad was constantly having issues on the phone regarding when it would arrive / be delivered. After a week of following up on the phone and TIRED of the run around, we drove 100+ miles to talk in person. This is a small shop. Next to a post office. Pistols are in a locked counter but rifles are casually hanging on the wall. Cool. Anywho, David was apologetic, professional and handled the situation. Gave us an extra mag for the inconvenience. The week after when we took it home, Diego assisted us. Another cool guy. They were both knowledgeable and gave good customer service. We were out in less than 30 minutes. The drive was worth it. Thanks WBT. read more

I have to start out by saying thanks to Dustin for being excellent customer service he helped me purchase my firearm from Wilde built by reaching out in one of the fastest times by any company and I mean any and he followed up on every email immediately during all business hours. I purchased a rifle from WBT about a week ago. I had talked to them live and sent tons of emails explaining what I wanted. They were very kind and helped me pick out what I was looking for. I was surprised that they had any inventory considering everyone is trying to gun-up. This virus has impacted businesses in so many ways. WBT has been able to adapt and still be able to provide customers with an easy and smooth experience. I know they have to work very hard to process every order that comes through. I appreciate what they are doing and I will update as soon as I get my rifle. read more

AMAZING Store, If your in the market for modern rifles Please, go to Wilde Built Tactical. I recently moved back to California, living in Oceanside and i searched EVERY gun store/shop etc around to get the rifle I wanted. I love my guns and I'm very picky, and it wasn't until i spoke to the wonderful staff of WBT that i was able to get my rifle as i wanted it. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. WBT is the only shop that i have come across that offers its rifles using the FC hook, which most places haven't even heard of yet. I used messenger to speak too the rep when i was figuring out what i wanted and he always replied, even after business hours to help me out. WBT was able to order the exact rifle i wanted and had it set up the way i wanted it. no other gun store would do that. once i bought the rifle, WBT offered to ship it to a closer FFL for me since i have to drive almost 2 hours to get to their store (thats how far i had to search to find a good shop in So Cal) and even just receiving the rifle, no one would take the FFL transfer for the Rifle, not even some of the big business sporting good gun stores i love. by the way only took 2weeks to get my rifle delivered to WBT. The store is very small which would , make you think it is less than there but big things come from small packages. being such a small store, they offer more and have more knowledge than any other gun store i have been too. prices are dead on as well! exactly what i would expect to pay and no more than other shops. I absolutly 100% trust WBT, and HIGHLY recommend their business, especially if your looking to get specialty rifles or high end guns. WBT is the only store i will go to for my semi-auto rifles now. very professional and very dependable/trustworthy. THANK YOU WBT! read more

Got my rifle from them and a handgun. Shipped fast and was exactly what was advertised. One of the best options for firearms purchases in cali. Good service, nice website and extensive list of goods to choose from read more

Highly recommend this place for online shopping! I've been skeptical about purchasing online because of shipping issues. However, WBT was on top of my purchase since day 1 of me contacting them. They're good at answering their emails but even better when you reach out via FB Messenger. On Messenger, they gave me the broke down of how much, where to ship, and what I should expect. They were even patient with my million rifle questions. Very good at reaching out to your FFL dealer. I have recommended them to my brother and my other buddy. Kudos to Dustin, he was awesome on Messenger! Pricing is great and they're not trying to rip you off. I was looking for a specific rifle that would've cost me $2k or more. Instead of convincing me to buy and make more $$, they hooked it up with a more reliable purchase (S&W) for more than half the price. No shipping issues at all! If you don't want long waits, I would ask about any in-store fire arms because then shipping will be faster. If you purchase a gun that is not in store (as I was originally going to do), then that firearms needs to be requested from the manufacturer, made CALI legal, and then shipped to their store. (Makes it so much longer). Don't skip on these guys! You will not regret it! read more

I've been here a few times to purchase some items. The staff was friendly and well informed with a complete sellection of what you need for your needs. read more

If your thinking about buying a gun, mags or sights here DON'T... just don't!!! Possibly the worst experience I've ever had ordering anything online. Not sure what they consider "in stock" but trust me it doesn't mean you'll get it anytime soon. Consider your purchase a small business loan with zero ownership interest in getting you what you've paid for. They'll blame it on the pandemic but if you can't get a "in stock" mag to the post office within 3 weeks you shouldn't be in business. If your so backed up stop taking orders until you can catch up. read more

I recently bought my very first gun, a Rock Island Armory GI Series 1911. I've always been a fan of this gun design, so when I saw it advertised in one of Wilde Built Tactical's e-mails at a reasonable price I immediately pulled out my credit card and ordered it. I went into this transaction knowing that there would be delays (the website made it very clear) and with this pandemic I don't think we can expect any company to be running under "business as usual" conditions. I can honestly say I'm satisfied with the level of service provided by Wilde Built Tactical, considering the situation we're all going through. Between the website, e-mails and phone conversations I had a pretty good idea of what to expect. About three weeks after I placed the order I was contacted by someone at WBT to schedule the DROS. I went in a couple days later and was given the necessary forms to fill out. I also took the FSC test while I was there. The person who received my documents and ID was very friendly and explained exactly how I should fill out the forms. Shortly after I was given my FSC and an appointment for two weeks later to pick up the gun (provided I passed the background check). I was told that if there were any issues someone would contact me early in the morning the day of my appointment to discuss that. That's exactly what happened. A nice young lady called me on the phone the morning of my appointment day and explained that the DOJ still had not completed my background check. She told me that she would contact me as soon as she heard anything from DOJ. A week later she called and said I had passed the background test. I was actually expecting this to take longer since other gun stores stated that it was taking DOJ an average of 30 days to complete background checks. When this young lady called me that morning she told me I could pick up the gun that same afternoon, so at the scheduled time I was there to pick up my 1911. Again, the folks there were very nice. I signed a couple other documents, demonstrated that I could safely handle the gun, and drove back home with my brand new 1911. Again, taking into consideration how the pandemic has complicated everyone's lives, I was still satisfied with Wilde Built Tactical's level of service. Yes, having to make appointments to do the DROS and to pick up your gun complicates things a little bit, and adds a few more days here and there to the process, but I think it's still a good thing. The few times I was at WBT there were only one or two other customers there, and the atmosphere was pretty relaxed and orderly. Not what I have seen at other gun stores I've visited in the last few weeks. Some places are just too hectic, it's difficult to get someone to help you in a timely fashion, and you end up wasting more time than you should. Kudos to WBT. Would definitely do business with them in the future. read more

A Special Needed Service in California Wilde Built Tactical is what was way past due in California. With tough California gun laws and liberal politicians doing their best to take away your 2nd amendment rights, and to change the constitution of United States in to a European mirror image, the owner Bryan Howes came up with a bright idea. Here is the deal: As you are aware of, every single "Fun Gun" is banned in California and you are deprived of shooting them! Hardcore criminals and midsize criminals get their guns in the black market and the cheesy petty criminals get their friends and girlfriends to pick their guns from the shops, but this would leave you, the honest and hardworking men and women unprotected and gun-less! If you take a serious look at which guns are banned in California, you will notice that over 50 major long guns and handguns are banned. These guns are the most "Fun Guns" for shooters to shoot and for collectors to collect. California along with New York and Illinois have the toughest gun laws in the nation. Why you ask? Because liberals run these states! This is where Bryan Howes comes in! Basically you can select any banned gun AKA "Fun Gun" on the banned list and tell Bryan that you want it. Bryan knows the law and all the legal loopholes. Bryan is constantly in search of gun manufacturers who make the replica and the "California Legal" version of the famous banned guns (Fun Guns). These manufacturers produce the modified and California Legal versions of practically all major popular guns. So you tell Bryan what you want and the chances are that Bryan either has it in the store or he can order and get it for you. Bryan has a vast variety of sources and connections. He knows the manufacturers, the guns and the law. Bryan does everything legal and by the book. He will make sure that you will get what you want and go out of his store satisfied. Bryan has a staff of knowledgeable and helpful employees. If you are a beginner, they will teach you well and if you are an expert, they will consult you well. Bryan started dealing guns about 2011 but he has been around guns, veterans and arms almost all his life. The man knows his guns and the law. He sells guns on the web and in the store. He sells all types of guns but his specialty is to find you "California Legal" versions of the famous banned guns. As a dead busy journalist and a knife and gun collector, I don't have time for chit chat, yet every time I go to Wilde Built Tactical, first I make sure Bryan is there and then I truly love chatting with him. Last time, I picked up a special order of a very hard weapon to find in this caliber. Not that Bryan found and ordered it for me, but he gave a special deal on it. Bryan is very well informed about arms and ammo, he is a human encyclopedia of arms! I always chat with him about university days (he went to SDSU and I taught at SDSU), Veteran affairs, wars, politics and indeed guns. He is an informed man but most important an honest man. He will give you the best deal possible and he will find you what you cannot find elsewhere! Bryan is not just another gun dealer who doubled his business due to Obama's tough gun policies, but he is actually an honest, friendly and knowledgeable person who you would desire to chat with and aids you in buying guns. Wilde Built Tactical is not a fancy or a huge shop but it serves a purpose which was desperately needed in San Diego and California. As a veteran gun enthusiast and collector, I strongly recommend Wilde Built Tactical, Bryan and his crew to all of you fellow brother and sister gun lovers out there. Stand up for your 2nd amendment rights before the big liberal government takes it away from you. Buy more guns, the more, the merrier! read more

Just picked up my Glock 19 and Keltec KSG from Wilde Built. Love these guys. They're very well informed, super nice, and considering that the COVID is still in effect, they were pretty decently stocked. I saw some people on yelp complaining of long wait times, but after i put in my order I received an email from them to schedule my DROS in a couple of weeks. The entire process from beginning to end went very smoothly and quickly. Brian who helped me out when i picked up my guns was fantastic. He was patient and very thorough. Explained all the ins and outs of both guns. He also taught me some very practical safety practices. I felt like it was my own private gun safety course. I live in Los Angeles and I'm more than happy making the 2 hour drive to shop from these guys. It's well worth it. They're definitely better stocked than a lot of places here in the Los Angeles area. Wilde Built Tactical and their staff are 5 stars all the way. If your in the San Diego area, or even if your not check these guys out. read more
