We get this food for lunch all the time in my office, and it's great! I love how they have so many flavors for their wings, and I love how you can choose from traditional or boneless wings! We also got a nice salad, and a ton of veggies and dips (spinach dip, blue cheese and ranch). It was like a party at the office. I felt like I was achieving the perfect balance of fun food and veggies. We tried so many of the different wing flavors but some that stood out to me were lemon pepper, and the ginger. So tasty! Initially, I wanted to write a review here with concerns I had and suggestions for improvement. But, I saw where the manager had responded to other reviews, and I thought I'd write to them directly. Well, it's been a couple of weeks now, and no response. So, here is my review, and suggestions for improvement. Let's start off with the good. The food is usually great. I usually get the 12 nuggets, some fries or tots and a drink. I come often, which means I enjoy it. Before the pandemic started, I would often come on Wednesdays for trivia night in addition to other times. The service generally has been good overall. There are occasionally bad aspects to a visit, but that's gonna be true anywhere. I will tell you, though, that I'm not "thoroughly satisfied" with everything, and to be honest, I'm looking to find another restaurant to satisfy my wing cravings. I really don't want WWC to go away, so I thought I'd tell you why I'm starting to look elsewhere. First, there isn't anything wrong with this location. The food is great, the service is great, and I enjoy dining here. The two biggest things in my brain every time I leave are (1) man, that was expensive, and (2) will this loyalty card ever actually earn me anything? As I mentioned earlier, I usually get 12 nuggets, fries or tots, and a sweet tea. This comes to about $21 and change. Add a tip, and I've just spent $25. I guess when I think of other restaurants that would be of similar expectation, I don't feel like I spend as much when I visit those restaurants. I'm thinking like Carolina Ale House, Red Robin, Chili's, etc. I will tell you that I've already said to one of my buddies that we should check out Wing Stop in Brier Creek, and we're going to do that instead of WWC next time we get wings. We're also probably going to try out Buffalo Wild Wings in Southpoint. We haven't gone to those places, because we've loved WWC so much. But, we've also both been talking lately about how expensive it is, and how the loyalty points don't really get you anything. This place is pretty good. I have been here twice, once I ordered off of their menu, and the second time I had their AYCE wing bar. Both times were good experiences, and the bills were the same. I feel that the wings are over cooked but their flavorful dry rub and sauces make the difference. Come here for lunch if you want a quick, filling meal. The wing bar has a decent selection, and is good for a quick meal of almost pure protein. Then again, if you are picking a restaurant named "Wild Wing Cafe", and you know that it is a chicken wing establishment, then why are you complaining? I've had both their regular wings and their boneless wings. Their regular wings were tiny, overcooked and overpriced. Their boneless wings were overcooked, deep fried and over priced. Today, we stopped in for the $12.99 per person wing buffet. The wings were delicious. No issue there. The problem was that we were charged $15.99 per person. I didn't notice this until we got in the car. My mind said 'I'm sure that sign said $12.99'. We purposely circled the building to see the advertisement and there it was!! Wing Buffet is back!! $12.99 with your choice of drink'. We were over charged! I go in and tell the server and he calls for the manager who tells me that it's $12.99 with a drink but $15.99 without a drink! The SIGN DOESN'T SAY THAT!! The sign says $12.99 with your choice of drink! Well sir, WATER is our choice of drink and it makes NO sense to me that you want to charge me an additional $3 per person for NOT getting a Coke product! That is ridiculous!!! My family really enjoys the food here, however you'd think their online ordering would be simple and efficient during this time. The 10x I had to "redo" my order because the page froze, or I was told I was not allowed to edit an item, was infuriating enough, but when you get to check out the best surprise is it blocks you from ordering because you've tried to order so many times! I have to update this review and upgrade my star-rating based on a couple more experiences here...the latest being Easter lunch. While the rest of the world was doing buffets and ham somewhere, we wanted to go where we were unlikely to find crowds, or high prices. Location played a factor as well, which led us to Wild Wing on Easter Sunday at 11am when they opened. What I really like about this place is how flexible they are with their menu. They have a lengthy selection of "wing" sauces, but you can apply those sauces to other things on their menu, such as their shrimp skewers...YES! My choice was a two-skewer grilled shrimp meal with 2 sides for less than ten dollars! AND, I could pick a different sauce for each skewer...can you say SAUCE HEAVEN? Plus I got to pick two sides (I chose steamed broccoli and a twice-baked mash tater side)...I love options and choices and Wild Wing offers them, for way reasonable prices! Others in my family chose according to lots of options as well, and every one of us was happy with our selections. Service, as always that we've experienced here, was excellent. read more

Ate over here for Super Bowl 2018 and the food was definitely delicious and was also pleased with the wait staff. My friend I went with is a member of one of the Band that plays here regularly so this has the pleasure of being both a sports bar and a music venue. Had lunch at Wild Wing Cafe with a friend the other day and thought that it was pretty good. I liked the sports bar ambiance right away -- TVs everywhere that were tuned to college football. The sound was turned way up, though, which made conversation difficult. We sampled two of the wing sauces -- Wild West (mild but tasty) and China Syndrome (hot with a nice kick). You can order portion sizes of 6, 12, 18, and up and there's a choice of ranch or blue cheese on the side (which I was kind of surprised to see come in a sealed plastic container like from a fast food joint). If you're going to order chicken, I would recommend going with the bone-in option rather than the nuggets. While the nuggets tasted great, they were smaller than what I expected. They also have a lot more than just wings on the menu plus a good many beers, and they deliver, too. Nice place! read more

NO VEGETARIAN First off--it's a Saturday and I was told they don't have any veggie burgers. For being the only "vegetarian" option, it's unfortunate they don't plan ahead. They also ran out of almost all other options on their menu. I've never been a fan of wild wing cafe because I always assumed they only sold wings. If you're a veterinarian don't order the veggie burger. I asked the waitress to check if they cooked the burger on the same grill with the meat burger. She went back to ask the cooks and was told yes. For being the only "vegetarian" option here, that's very unfortunate. I ended up ordering just nachos with cheese. I was sold burnt food and both parties were extremely rude, unapologetic, and wait times for service(drinks, food, and any service) were ridiculous. I probably will never be back again. Neither request was fulfilled even though she said the could do it. The food was good but service was terrible. We got the restaurant around 1:30pm and left at 4.04pm. It took forever to get everyone's drinks and then forever to get our food. We had to end up finding the manager to resolve our issue. The restaurant is not even half staffed but barely staffed. They should shut half of the restaurant down until they have enough staff to run the business at full capacity. I don't think I will be back at this location for a while. I've been to other Wild Wings locations; this one is fairly cookie cutter. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but when you already know what to expect there's no blowing your socks off, right? I stopped here for lunch on a Sunday and was pleasantly surprised to find it fairly empty. All other WW locations I've visited are pretty much wall-to-wall, regardless of the time of day. The wings of course are the centerpiece of the menu - for two people, I recommend getting the 25-wing platter and trying five different flavors. (Wild West, Honey Mustard, and Thai are my favorites.) The house salad with their house Southwest Ranch is really good. Wings not your gig? There's other good food on the menu, no worries. Numerous TVs show whatever sport floats your boat...from my vantage point I could see Tiger on a flat screen TV double-bogeying his way across a golf course, and on the big projection screen was the neverending left-hand turn that is NASCAR. There's also a stage for live bands, presumably on weekends. I wouldn't come here every weekend, but yeah - if you have a hankerin' for wings this will fix you up. read more

Everything here was A-OK with me. I went to Wild Wing Café for lunch with some people from work, without very high expectations. They were not very busy when we were there, however the service was a little on the slow side. But it could have been that way, because we had a big party of 9, so I'm not going to really fault them too much there. When we walked in, I noticed that they had a lunch buffet with chicken wings. I took a glance at it and it seemed to have 5 different types of wings, with the addition of French fries and pasta salad. There looked like there were a few people who opted for it, but it didn't really suit my fancy. So I ordered off of the regular menu instead. To start, our table ordered a trio of appetizers: The Triple Dipper: Pretty standard tortilla chips. But it comes with 3 of their sauces to dip in. Our group went with the super spinach dip, buffalo chicken dip and "chile con queso" dip. My favorites were the super spinach dip and the queso dip. Bavarian Pretzels: The pretzels came out VERY warm and they were super soft. There were 3 decently sized pretzel sticks served with beer cheese dipping sauce. That sauce is a winner for sure. Onion Rings: The onion rings were pretty good too. A little on the greasy side, but I mean.... they are onion rings. I liked that they were dipped in beer batter and wasn't as crumbly as most onion rings. They also came with ranch dipping sauce. For my entrée, I ordered their Fiesta chicken wrap, which was actually pretty good. There was a ton of cheese, which is always a win in my book. And it filled me up really quick! She look annoyed and asked for my name. She gave me my food. (With sarcasm) I said yes. She said wait while she gets the manager. She didn't ask, just puts me on hold for like 10 mins. Manager gets on the phone tells me the rice is under the catfish. So I moved everything around to see it and I am like there is barely any rice which is why I didn't see it to begin with. It looked like they scraped the bottom of the pan to get this and hid it under sauce broccoli and a few little pieces of fish. She told me that's the portion size and kept repeating herself when I was trying to explain how horrible this experience was. After being cut off and not heard. If you like chicken wings and are planning to go to this place please re-program your GPS and go elsewhere. Service was fine. I order takeout at the bar 99% of the time no matter where it is. Related to the most important part, they do not let you order any of their sauces at your preferred heat level. I asked for traditional wings not breaded, asked for all drums and extra wet. What I received was wings with no sauce and breaded. They put one container of sauce on the side. Other issue was they put the celery pretty much with the wings. Needless to say the celery was hot by the time I got home. And lastly, that had to be the absolute worst tasting blue cheese dressing I have ever had. If you're looking to go out for a nice quiet dinner, Wild Wing Cafe is probably not the place for you. If you're looking for good food, good drink specials, and a fun atmosphere, then you're barking up the right tree. I've been to Wild Wing many times, at some point I've probably been every night of the week. As a karaoke fan, I enjoy going on Tuesday nights. If you're not a karaoke fan, you'll probably have a horrible time on Tuesday, because the sound system is VERY loud. The same goes for the live music on the weekends. Personally, I like my music loud (ask my audiologist) and I've learned not to go to Wild Wing if I want to discuss politics or the state of the economy. I think that if you walk into Wild Wing expecting a loud, busy bar, you'll have a much better time. I also think that Wild Wing is a bit out of place in Brier Creek - it certainly doesn't fit in with the family-friendly dining establishments across Glenwood, and even the Ale House next door is usually a more subdued atmosphere. Either way, I've rarely been to the Cafe when I didn't have a good time. The drink specials every night are usually pretty good, and service at the bar is almost always speedy. Table service can be much less reliable at times, but usually a good attitude toward your server can go a long way in getting you better service. As a person who loves to eat, I can honestly say that I've been pleasantly surprised by a few of Wild Wing's food offerings. The menu is MUCH more than just wings - there's an entire page of appetizers that are, for the most part, relatively inexpensive and quite tasty. Personally, I am a fan of the Finger Lickin' Pizza Pie (I think that's the name, anyway): it's basically a pizza crust topped with chicken, cheese, ranch dressing, and hot sauce. Sounds weird, I know, but it's awesome! And of course, can't forget the wings. I've tried about a third of the sauces (leaning towards the spicier ones) and all have been good to great. First, the ordering... I thought the server was giving time to look over the menu until we were done looking over it and she passed us twice busing tables before finally getting to us 15 mins after we sat down. Next, the order arrival.... 30 minutes later the food finally arrives. I had asked that the guacamole on the turkey GLT to be put on the side which it wasn't, but no big deal. The wrap was decent but the chips were over cooked a bit. The Chicken Feathers on the other hand were an issue... the menu set the sauce at a heat rating of green which is a small amount of heat. That sauce tasted mostly like hot peppers and should have been in the next level up. It was too hot so we mentioned it to the server who offered to have it done over (remember the 30 min wait) which we declined because we couldn't wait that long. So, after 1/2 of the meal was eaten, the server brings the check and the meal was fully charged on it. I went to her and asked that she take off 1/2 since it couldn't be eaten and she said she offered to fix it to which I reminded her that we weren't willing to wait the length of time it took to prepare it. She got the manager who did approve 1/2 off that meal. The reason for the poor rating on service was due to the attitude. When a server uses excuses rather than good customer service for a known issue, that just isn't acceptable. I don't know if this is an isolated incident or if others have experienced subpar service as well. If it isn't isolated, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all which is sad because it used to be decent. read more
