My fiance and I took our sweet friend out to her birthday celebration here. She had not been out on the town (as she put it) in years and was so excited. The three of us enjoyed the Triple Dipper together. We struggled to enjoy ourselves through the band's mediocre music which was SO loud we couldn't even hear each other or our server. This past weekend I had some friends come through town and when everyone mentioned they were hungry, I suggested Wild Wing Cafe. I mean who doesn't love wings and beer right? So I have been there before being a local, and I would say the service is typical hit or miss. However; this past Sunday when my group and I came in we were seated and given a horrible waiter right off. It was one of those situations where you knew he wasn't in the mood to be there and it wasn't going to be a great experience. Well after 10 minutes we finally ordered drinks, then 35 min in the drinks arrived after having to flag down another waitress to check on them. A few minutes later we ordered our appetizers but was not allowed to order our food at that time per our waiter. Once he finally stopped popping the other waitress with a towel he came back by after we flagged him down again and took our order. Our order was (4) 12 piece boneless wings & he confirmed with everyone as we ordered we wanted nuggets not wings and then he went to put it in. Finally our appetizer came out and instead of the Nacho Supreme we got a different style but after over an hour wait we were starving so we just ate them. During this time we flagged down 2 separate waitresses for refills, and we all agreed they were all very helpful and prompt. Finally our food comes out, and we are excited to eat after an hour and 15 minutes, and WHAT? all of our orders come out wings NOT nuggets. So the food runner takes them back. By this point we have not seen our waiter for almost 30 minutes at our table, only as he walks by chatting with his co-workers. So THEN our food comes out and its correct this time; however our nuggets all taste like BBQ nuggets rolled in our specified sauce. We had requested extra dipping sauce since 1 small paper dip cup would come close to covering 12 nuggets. When he finally brings it out he drops 1 in my friends lap as he puts it in her face, without even an apology, and when blu-cheese is requested he say's "REALLY" huffs then walks off. By this point we have requested from one of the ladies to send the manager to our table. When the manager arrives he ask what the problem is and we begin this same story with him. His response is: Well I'm sorry you felt you didn't get better service and just know orders get messed up all the time & he walks away. Nothing said or done, no offers of compensating for anything that came out wrong nor for the wait, just walks away. After paying our $73.00 bill and tipping .95 cents we walked out pissed and can say we will ALL share this experience with anyone and everyone whom ask about Wild Wings in Gainesville. So if you choose to eat here avoid the ugly nerdy manager with glasses who stays in the back office, as well as the chubby waiter who wears the backwards cap. read more

I would love nothing more than to review the food here but unfortunately after 2 1/2 hours waiting on a slow night we left without eating. People continued to walk in before us and get seated and we were met with nothing but rudeness. The lack of diversity in the wait staff may be why, or maybe they are just rude. Regardless we won't back. I wish I couldngive less than 1 star because that is what this place deserves. Rick, the manager, didn't seem to like to tend any people of color. Since I got there and mentioned the amount of people with me, he proceeded with a sarcastic laugh and said the oh that's gonna 3 to 4 hours.... I have never in my life! On top of that they had an attitude and the WHITE STAFF couldn't even tell me who Rick's manager is bc he definitely has 0 customer service skills. They made me feel as if they didn't want my service. Made me feel as if it was a race thing considering the whats going on in the world right now. They didn't bother to apologize but snapped back quickly with an attitude what happened to the customer is always right. I tried to look up my # in line and somehow I went from 3rd in line to 0. They took me off. First of all customer service skills is a priority. 2nd of all TAKE THE EMOTIONS OUT OF MIND AND FOCUS ON YOUR JOB. We had a group of 10, they told us it would be a 45 minute wait. We have been going the the first Tuesday of the the month for 10+ years and never had this problem!! The wings, you got to come for the wings. During the week you can get the "wing bar" or endless wings I can't remember what they called it. It's all you can eat wings! I never make it past one plate but I cannot express how great they are. It can get a little frustrating to waive down your waitress for refills on your drink and the food can take a little bit to arrive. However the food is definitely worth the wait. read more

Stopped by for lunch and they have an ayce special on the wings for $11. You actually order what flavors you want and they bring you 12 to start with fries, celery, and dips. If you reorder they bring them out 6 at a time. It was very busy and I think the kitchen wasn't putting attention to detail. Some wings were only half covered in sauce.
