Scrambled Eggs, side plate of sausage patties, wheat toast, fries.

We were a table for two. We got seated pretty quickly. We got our orange juice and coffee. And got our order placed in a timely manner after a few minutes of reviewing the menu options. Our food/dishes came out at a reasonable time, not too long, and we noticed that the table sitting outside (who got seated after us) got their food at the same time as ours. Initially our server came by five minutes after we got our food, but never came back to see if we needed anything else. I finished my coffee and was looking to make eye contact with one of the three waitresses, but it was difficult. The restaurant was somewhat busy perhaps 70% at capacity. I raised my hand three times and did not get the attention of two waitresses. I then got the attention of one waitress and she nodded to confirm she made eye contact, but she never came to our table. I finally got the third waitress' attention after 20 minutes and she had somewhat of a distressed look (no smile). And I asked kindly with a smile if I can get more coffee and a box to go. She came back a few minutes later with both. The portions of the food was average. The price of the plates were higher than average. The service was poor. I am not saying that to be critical, but perhaps they were short staffed. But the atmosphere did not feel friendly or welcoming. There are other breakfast/brunch options in the area (such as Maggie's, ETC), and I do not feel that I would return to this restaurant for a while (if ever). Service is just as important as the meal. I am saddened that my first visit to Wild Wheat did not leave a good impression.

Walked in and were seated immediately. Followed quickly by getting water. Our server was super pleasant, attentive and patient. She brought our drinks very quickly. We ordered, our food came out hot and fresh. The crab Benedict was devine. Their home fries looked a little under light so i was worried but boy was i wrong. They are packed with flavor. The menu looks huge but it's not really. They know their specialties and they do them really well. The restaurant was super clean and all the staff is helpful. Overall great breakfast spot.

A hidden gem in Kent! Service was friendly, they have a huge menu, my favorite was the crab Benedict, which had a good portion size of crab and overall a huge plate in general! Everything we had was amazing, I highly recommend and I would come back!

I used to frequent this place with family so many years ago and after visiting recently, I remember why we stopped. This place used to be packed and busy from open to close. I was surprised by the empty seats at the location. The place wasnt as welcoming despite the place looking the same as it did before. I ordered the crab benedict. It was supposed to be on an English muffin. It was on two pieces of stale bread. The crab was just okay. My friend thought the bagel wasnt bad though. Its just a bagel with cream cheese. We also ordered a mocha with two shots. Tastes like a decent cup of coffee. Our server was nice though. Left us alone and didnt bother us. You have to pay at the front to close out your bill, which we didnt mind as we spent a good time here catching up. Overall, it was ok. Maybe its the fact that the food safety on the place was rated as okay and that threw me off, but comparing the quality years ago to now, to me it isnt the same.

We stopped by Wild Wheat to pick up some pastries after noticing this bakery while drinking boba nearby. This place seems to be more of restaurant, with bakery items in a couple of small cases near the front counter. Plain Croissant ($5) - The lamination and proofing are very suspect, resulting in overly large air holes rather than a consistent honeycomb structure. The bake is a little too hard, so the crust is dark golden brown and the interior is dried out quite a bit. Finally, the rolling of the croissant dough is not the best, creating a pastry that's kind of lumpy and off center. It's not a very good croissant at all unfortunately. I guess it tastes fine though, so that's something positive. (2/5) Almond Croissant ($5) - The croissant base is the same as above, but then they fill with almond frangipane and top with sliced almonds. The frangipane filling is somewhat gritty, sweet with great almond flavor, but has bit of strange taste in addition, like raw flour. The way they roll the croissant is also a little suspect since it results in a large nubbin on the side. (2/5) Marionberry Cheese Danish ($5) - This one's not bad. Very smooth cream cheese filling with plenty of tart yet sweet berries. The hard bake on the crust works well in this pastry to balance against the more moist filling/topping. (3/5) Ham & Cheese Croissant ($5) - This croissant is laminated in very thick layers, with the top being more like brioche rather than croissant. It's quite buttery in taste, with the ham flavor penetrating throughout. It has lots of cheese, kind of funky in taste and nice. If I think of this as a ham & cheese pastry, rather than a croissant, it's actually pretty good. (4/5) Chocolate Scone ($5) - This is a very bready and dry scone. Good number of chocolate chips on top I guess, but otherwise kind of meh. (2/5) Overall I found the pastries to be below average to average. Perhaps the breads and/or the meals are better here?

Phenomenal breakfast/lunch food choices. Eggs benedict is my personal favorite and a good option if you want something that fills you well. Service is good and the restaurant itself is a vibe. Baked goods are a must!

$3 day old bakery items, x7 jalapeño cheese soft bagels
    Shin S.

They had some cheap day old bakery items in a large bag for $3 when I went there for lunch on a local event there. Lots of bread for $3, with cheese and jalapeños too. It wasn't hard or anything either. Great value for that.

Clean, well-spaced restaurant with friendly staff. A solid menu with some uncommon options. Portions are gargantuan, which I tend to find a bit off-putting. However the food is tasty, and one can always share or take the leftovers home. My fellow diners ordered omelettes which they really enjoyed. The crab omelette was generously filled. The latte was good, but it was served like a cappuccino. A double shot was the perfect amount of coffee to milk ratio. My vegan plate was good with a few surprises. The sautéed veggies were topped with fresh spinach and sprinkled with Kalamata olives which really elevated the dish. The home fries were nicely crispy, which I love. but could have been warmer. The falafel (garbanzo patties on the menu) were flavorful but cold. The winner of the combo was the helping of beans - creamy with a terrific flavor. I'm glad I ordered some bread to sop uo thé broth. We ordered bread and pastries to go. I opted for coconut cake. A nice flavor, but the cake was somewhat dense and on the sweet side. The sugar cookie with sprinkles was cute and not overly sweet. I look forward to trying their sandwiches. The bread is really good.

After paying for my meal, the young man who seated us and checked us out, offered to make a complimentary latte for me. Who's the best I've had in forever. The coffee, the chocolate, the hazelnut the whipped cream I could go on and on about how amazing it was.. There was an option for 10 stars I would give it to them!!!!

Anyone try their Too Good To Go offerings? Seems always available... the good places sells out within seconds.

I've tried it a few times several months back. I got about 5-7 pastries, mostly different types of cookies. Not the best deal for the price on TGTG

Do they serve breakfast all day?

Everyday weekdays till 1130 Saturday and Sunday till 1

We are planning on stopping on the way to a hike. Can we bring our dog (if there is outdoor seating)?

There is outdoor seating, very limited though

Is the listed phone number accurate for this cafe? Keep getting "call can not be completed" for the one listed here on Yelp and their website.

I've never phoned them, but Whole Foods Market Bellevue and multiple other branches in the King County area call them to place orders for bread, so I think you can always ask the WFM Bellevue (https://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/stores/bellevue) or…

I truly wanted this visit to land at five stars, but the sandwich fell short of the smokehouse-style experience I expected. Rather than thick-cut, rustic barbecue meat with the depth of smoke and texture you hope for, the deli meats tasted more like pre-sliced product that had simply been warmed through. Served on a French roll, it ate more like a heated deli sandwich than a memorable barbecue creation. That said, the sides and dessert showed much more personality. The baked beans were rich, satisfying, and packed with flavor, while the banana pudding was the standout of the meal--creamy, comforting, and absolutely delicious. Those two items alone are worth returning for. The hospitality, setting, baked beans, and banana pudding were all excellent.
