Have been coming here since Mark opened. Was our go to breakfast spot especially when company in town, good food, good portions, good prices and clean. Worth waiting on the weekend. Not the case any longer since restaurant was sold. All has gone downhill, except prices which are higher than Seattle top end breakfast spots. Dirty, saw rat droppings in the open area, food just not the same, not terrible but not memorable. The breads from bakery still good the last time I grabbed some. read more

Wow, breakfast SERVED (with a side of anti-semitism?) We ordered two breakfast meals for delivery along with a loaf of rye bread. Whoever took care of our order thought that the Jewish rye bread meant it was appropriate to change my last name to Sandler as some sort of disrespectful joke. I had an absolutely amazing Roasted Pear and Gorgonzola Salad today at Wild Wheat. I went in excited to order an omelette, but read on their menu that breakfast is only served until 11AM and it was 1PM. I opted for the salad and it was incredible! I asked if I could add chicken and they happily obliged. All of the staff were super helpful and personable and the place was very clean, spacious and airy (a lot of natural light). It's been awhile since I had eaten here. My friends and I decided to go and have coffee and a small bite to eat. This place is expensive...so expensive that we decided on just drinks. The drinks were pricey too but very good. I can't understand how they are staying in business with the amount of money they charge. My four star rating is solely based on the incredible baked goods this place has. Our local business frequently gets a variety of bakery items from here and they are spectacular. Now. If I were rating lunch the other day, it would be a 2. I ordered the smoked chicken salad, my friend ordered a veggie sandwich with fries. Service: slow Food: subpar. Her bread was stale, she didn't eat it. Pretty sad for a bakery. Fries were cold. My salad was just-odd. Let's get straight to the point. Packed for Breakfast heard this place was fantastic but today....... Not sure what happened. I wanted to try their roasted beans in house. I got an Expresso! It was so bitter. I could not drink it. I usually don't send back coffee. This I had to. Our Server was very sweet and she even tried the Expresso herself, she agreed it was awful! Phew! It's not just me. Next I try the coffee. Which I should of know probably would be the same style beans as the Expresso. They were it was just as bad. Well just water for me. Next the food. My boyfriend ordered A Smoked Salmon Omelet. I got the Crab and Asparagus Omelet. We both requested to have them as scrambles! Yummy. It sounded so good. An hour later the food comes out it all looked good. My boyfriend's was good! Mine not so much. it was drenched in hollandaise sauce. It was just too much also the Crab didn't taste fresh at all maybe it was old and not stored properly. Unsure but my stomach was not happy later. I was hoping for a better experience. So I don't like giving bad reviews but it's only fair to the public and good for the ownership. I really can't say it was a bad experience but it definitely wasn't a good one. Service was really slow for an empty floor. Food was mediocre at best. Tables weren't prepared and needed cleaning as we were sat. It was also pretty unfortunate that they started mopping with an over powering Oder of cleaning product as we were starting to eat. Staff was nice and Friendly. Maybe it was a bad day. I visit from LA often and was hoping to find a local brunch spot. For me this is not the one. Any recommendations are much appreciated. read more

It was our first time here. Place looks a bit old and not the cleanest in my opinion. There were lots of flies going around, some of them being huge (not exaggerating). The staff were very friendly though and accommodating. My wife and I both got an omelette each. And the prices on these are not the cheapest. I believe the crab one was $32 and mine was around $24. The serving size is huge and in my opinion, can feed two people. I'd suggest ordering one and just splitting it. They also had some pretty good freshly baked pastries. We got the chocolate croissant and blueberry danish. Definitely recommend. I would love to give more stars but I think the place needs heavy make over especially at the price point they're selling for. read more

It's been a few years since I've been here but my two friends wanted to go for their January birthday celebration. Staff is friendly, service is good. But our food took forever to come out. We once really loved this place, we moved away for a couple of years and have just recently moved back. We went to WW this past weekend and I was shocked at how much the prices have increased. Not just a little (which I understand in today's economy) but a lot. How in the world can you justify $20 for oatmeal? Ok! This is the breakfast spot to trust! (Sherrie and I had breakfast-brunch on the fly, during a very buzy day six weeks ago. Her seafood linguini was fabulous and so huge, she took leftovers home. My eggs-potatoes-sausage ws equally delicious.) That was then and this is now: I returned for the same breakfast yesterday (photo attached which I texted to Sherrie). She asked if they make Quiche Lorraine to go. Ha...what a ridiculous request! But jokes on me. Wild Wheat sells full Quiche Lorraines in the glass dish they bake in. A whole quiche cuts up into 8 slices, one slice is a serving because it's rich, moist, delicious, satisfying beyond your expectations. That is equivalent to $5 per serving (and the glass pie dish is free)! Keep it in plastic wrap and enjoy it all week. It pains me to write this review because this place has always been one of my go-to breakfast spots. Admittedly, it'd be a while since I have been here due to covid but I went twice recently and both experiences were just not up to par. The first time it was super slow and my party was one of two tables in the restaurant. It was still impossible to track someone down! :( I also noticed that prices have definitely gone up and for the amount they're charging, the service and the food are just not up to par. The second time I went, the server forgot one of our items and we didn't even bother telling her, we just wanted to get out of there due to how long we were waiting for someone to check us out. Today's visit was disappointing to say the least. The restaurant was not busy, even the hostess admitted they were slow. I had to ask for my order to be taken after waiting for awhile at least 10 min. Never did I get someone to stop back by my table, I had to refill my own water twice and only other help was I put my mask and key lanyard on did someone notice and bring my check over. No thank you... Since the change in ownership, unfortunately, the food has plummeted. The menu in large may have stayed the same, however the recipes have not. This was a huge disappointed especially waiting 9mo before allowing myself a taste of gluten and being separated from many outings with coivd. My go-to menu item has been their roasted turkey cranberry aioli sandwich with house salad. The bread did not taste like rosemary garlic nor did the aioli sauce bring out other flavours than mayo. Balsamic dressing for house salad, runny with limited flavours. To sum it up - bland Another disappointment, during covid at my recent visit, there is no touchless menus and from what I observed they continue to use the paper menus repeatedly. Doesn't look like much when you walk past it but it's actually pretty decent ! I've only been here a few times but it has been good. However, it gets really busy so be prepared for that and also the ketchup taste old. But that could be my taste buds I always refrigerate my ketchup so maybe they don't. Anyways ! I would recommend if you're in the area. The quiche is a really good option and also very filling. Coffee is OK. Wandered in for a late Sunday brunch. Happy to say they weren't too crowded, food was tasty, and the staff was great. Hard to find a good brunch spot that's not in Seattle, or super crowded on the weekend. So happy, we were there shortly after noon and the place was only half full. Outdoor seating was available (a pleasantly warm day). I got the salmon omelette and it was chock full of salmon! Came here for my bday and must be under new management, service was poor to say the least compared to previous years. We came for lunch and I ordered smoker salmon Rueben, house salad and an ice tea. $25 for the sandwich. The salmon was dry and unseasoned. You can taste the smoke but no salt and no aioli. The ice tea was over brewed and murky in color. I took the tea home To split it and make 4 ice teas out of it. I ate 1/4 of sandwich and took it home to see if I could somehow bring up back to life with flavor. My gf ordered the fish and chips and Cesar salad $25. She got 4 small pieces of fish and lots of fries. No lemon offered with neither the salad or the fish. When we tried to ask for one no one even looked our way. So I walked up to the register and they just asked if I wanted the check...so I took it and left. No one ever asked how are food was etc. We were only there for 30 mins... I crave the Crab asparagus omelet once a month and placed an order to go yesterday. The quality is nothing like I'm used to in the past. The crab was stinky, egg was rubbery, potatoes were dry, overcooked and no seasoning. Also, they packed the butter inside the box so when my mother pulled the butter out, the liquid butter got all over her food, leaving nothing to put on her raisin bread. If I could give less than 1 star I would. We have eaten here over the years and the orginal owner sold the restaurant just before the pandemic hit. My family last ate on my birthday, they only offered breakfast which we ordered. The free table bread is no longer offered, the prices were very high, the biggest issue was the terrible quaility of the food servered and the size. Tiny portions, potatoes that tasted rotten, and after more than 30 minutes after placing the order food served ice cold. My 81 y.o. fathers order of biscuits and gravy ice cold and uneatable. What a disappointment. We got up early to get there before the crowds, and we were seated fairly fast. Hostess was really sweet. Food on the other hand was not good. 2 out of 3 breakfasts were cold. How do you end up with cold oatmeal? I sent it back and the 2nd one was also cold. My husband had biscuits and gravy. Had to send his back, at least his new one was hot. Coffee tasted burnt.
