Always a wonderful meal, the menu has a great variety and not your run of the mill menu items. The team is always on point.

I have eaten here many times, mostly on weekends when it's busy. That being said, I've understood waiting 10-15 mins for my latte because they are slammed. However, I came in a few days ago with my mom and niece who were visiting from out of town and the service was still very slow especially considering there were only 5 tables that were seated. We waited at least 10 mins for two lattes. Yes, the servers were very friendly but I don't get waiting this long. Additionally, I ordered the eggs Benedict and it was covered in green onions. Nowhere on the menu did it say there were green onions on top. So, I had to pick all of them off. This should have been disclosed in the menu. Also, the kids menu said it was served with fruit however there was no fruit with my nieces breakfast. I love supporting our local restaurants but the inconsistency here makes it hard for me to want to return. read more

I came in today with a friend and our kids and we had one of the worst experiences at this establishment. When we entered, the restaurant was fairly empty. There were at most only a handful of tables. This was around 11am on a Friday morning. It was nearly empty. The host was an older Latina woman and she didn't greet us - just looked at us and said " booth ". I told her that we needed two high chairs. She just looked at us and smiled. We ended up seating the toddlers in the booth while we waited around for her to bring the high chairs over. Instead - she comes back with a booster seat about 10 minutes later. We had a 2 year old that needed a high chair and I had to point at another child in a high chair so she would hopefully understand. My friend ended up saying it's okay we don't need it and let the toddlers sit in the booth with us. Our server finally came around and took our orders and the food came out on time and delicious as usual. She checked in on us maybe once afterwards. The host came around to bring the check to us but we told her that we wanted to place a to-go order. She didn't understand so she walked away instead of calling our server over. Then the busser came around and I got his attention and asked him to call our server over - he looks around and grabs a set of silverware from another table and hands it over to me. I said no, this is not what I'm asking for. I then used some of my Spanish knowledge and asked him in Spanish if he can call our server. Our server was actually busy talking to another guest by the checkout counter and didn't come for a good 5 minutes. At this point 20 minutes had passed since we received our cheque from the host. My friend said that she will just bring the leftovers for her husband and to forget about ordering the food. Our server finally came around and I told her how I tried to communicate a few things to the host and the busser and they didn't understand a thing I said. Her response was " yeah, they don't know any English". I am a also a restaurant owner, and I also own 3 gas stations and a convenience store in Seattle. These businesses are customer facing businesses in which our employees and ourselves have a client-facing role. If I am going to a restaurant or a gas station and I have some requests, questions, etc , I expect to be heard and understood and helped. I don't have the time and patience to be going back and forth with someone because they don't understand what I am saying, especially when we have other things on our plate and we have our hands full with children and have to get back to our lives. If I can use whatever Spanish knowledge I have learned from high school to make myself heard - some basic English vocabulary for restaurant knowledge should be a must in a customer facing role. Very busy on a Saturday but luckily there was a table that could fit 8 without waiting for more than 30 minutes. Portion sizes are ginormous and food quality was pretty good. Classic brunch menu items and taste. They give you TONS of mimosa for the price. Also the mimosa comes with freshly squeezed OJ! Highly recommend trying this place but it is very difficult to find parking on Saturdays as it is right on the street where Saturday market happens. read more

Wild Wheat was not a great experience for us. The staff were friendly but the prices are awful for the quality and the amount that you get. My husband got the Wild Wheat breakfast. It came with just two eggs, home fries and toast for 16 dollars (!?). There was no bacon or sausage side with any of the egg breakfast meals and it cost an additional 5 dollars to add a meat option. My husband wanted a side of pancakes and to order just 1 pancake on the side was ALSO an additional 5 dollars. The pancake was not particularly large and both of us thought it was a bit bland. It came with a very small amount of syrup and it would have cost us 3 dollars more to get a bit more of it. I got the Stollen French toast which was 20 dollars. It was honestly inedible. It had a very gritty taste to it and was very dry. I only took a few bites before deciding against it. The French toast came with a side of fruit but unfortunately a lot of the fruit was not very fresh. I would very much not recommend it. All together we paid over 60 dollars for a really disappointing meal that we could have made at home for much less. read more

Second visit. This time, service was alright, but the entrees took a while and the food were pretty burnt. My Wheat Toast were burnt and my fianceé's onions and mushrooms were also burnt. We both ordered customized omelets and were kind of disappointed with the outcome. The prices for each topping were outrageous as well! For each meat topping, it was $4.00 and for each vegetable, it was $2.00. Not sure which other restaurant charges for every single topping, but thought it was pretty pricey. For a regular 3-egg omelet, it was already $12.00. So, mine came out to $16.00 and my fianceé's came out to $24.50 when she added jalapeños, mushrooms, onions, sausage and tomato. We wouldn't have been that disappointed had our food not been burnt since the portions were huge. Got a decaf coffee and some fresh orange juice which were good. We came here from out of town. Heard great things about this place. The service and food did not disappoint! The hostess was very friendly and the waitresses brought out our food nice and quick! This stood out for us since we came in a large group. We had the speciality Nutella latte and peppermint mochas! I was very impressed by their selection of drinks and the taste was impeccable! There were a lot of mistakes made during our visit. The service was sluggish and forgetful - it took twenty minutes to receive a latte, despite there being a barista who was cleaning the counter. Additionally, they brought out the wrong dish to our table. When we mentioned these mistakes, our server did not apologize and instead blamed either the kitchen or the barista. Even though it wasn't particularly busy (it was only 1 PM on a Saturday), the service was still frustratingly slow, likely due to our server spending time chatting with their friends by the host stand. I hoped there would be no more issues, but unfortunately, the quality of the food wasn't satisfactory. Although we were excited about the buttermilk buckwheat pancakes, they tasted more like cinnamon pancakes and lacked the expected buttermilk flavor. It should've been titled cinnamon pancakes on the menu. That's really the only flavor you tasted. I also ordered biscuits and gravy which was another miss The biscuits were dry and not served with enough gravy, while the potato hash had potential but was ruined due to overcooking and presentation issues. The portion sizes were large, which might be a positive aspect considering the high menu prices, but reducing the serving size slightly could result in the same quality product with more reasonable pricing. I really wanted to like this place. However, they didn't leave me any choice. $92 breakfast with tip and no alcohol for two people is the reason I was motivated enough to write this review. Came here a while back for weekend brunch with a friend. Unfortunately, Wild Wheat doesn't have a brunch menu and they ended breakfast too early so we had to order off the lunch menu. Luckily, the bakery was open and we could order from there too. We settled on the Frittata, Roasted Pear and Gorgonzola Salad, and Fruit Tart. The Frittata was ugly and paired with a watered down marinara sauce, which made no sense at all. It tasted better than it looked (not the marinara sauce, that was disappointing), and the crust was nice. The salad was fine, but a journey to get. They were out of Gorgonzola so we asked for Goat Cheese instead. Our server originally said that she would have to charge us extra for the Goat Cheese and tried to offer a packet of powdered Parmesan instead. Seriously?!?!? After we pointed out that Goat Cheese and Gorgonzola are way more similar to each other than to powdered Parmesan, she went and talked to a manager and didn't charge extra for the Goat Cheese. Finally, the Fruit Tart. Definitely the highlight of the meal and the saving grace. The fruit was fresh, the pastry cream was on point, and the crust was nice. We inhaled it, yum. While I didn't love my experience at Wild Wheat, I did love the Fruit Tart and would definitely come back to try more of the bakery items! read more

This particular visit, the lines for breakfast started early. We arrived a little after 8:15am, and were able to grab the last booth by a window. Excellent place for brunch. My party and I came here on a Sunday afternoon. It was fairly busy as expected, but we were greeted and got seated right away. Our server was great. Always checked in on us and refilled our beverages very timely. I ordered a coffee and a smoked salmon omelette. The salmon omelette and home style fries tasted great! Salmon was very flavorful, not dry at all. Potatoes were crispy and not too salty. The only complaint is that the toast was a little stale. Other than that, would definitely recommend. Hands down, my favorite brunch spot in Kent. This restaurant has a bakery inside, so you can grab some delicious desserts or to-go their freshly baked bread. I've tried their omelets and eggs benedict and they never disappointed me. Their portions are quite big so I'd say their price range makes sense (usually at least $10+ each of their main dishes). If you have a toast with your order, please try their jam that's on the table because it's so good! Now parking in the area can be a little tough along the street where the restaurant is, but you should be able to find parking in a street away - just take a walk before and after you eat your yummy food! read more

The food would be a lot better if you're able to get consistency. Sometimes the potatoes are well seasoned, sometimes the toast is burned, sometimes the egg portions are larger...it's pretty random. Weekends are always busy so arrive before 8! Weekdays can be a hit and a miss but it's fairly quick to get a table before 9. The service is probably the slowest thing on this planet on the weekends. Be prepared to stay for a long time just waiting on your food. Their bakery is pricey but pretty good if you come early in the morning. We have always loved the bread they make (available at Whole Foods) so were so excited to finally try this on our way down south. We've been back once. The actual bakery is more of a cafe restaurant. Highly popular with the locals. It was really busy serving breakfast when we stopped by and also seems to be pretty popular for lunch (our second stop). We took several baked items both times. The service was a bunch of teenagers, which was fine accept when they were all joking and playing around and not attending to the business needs or patrons. The Ambiance... there was nothing worth notating... we can start at the restrooms, upon entering you smell human feces and both women's stalls had trash to include women hygiene products, overflowing. You could tell the restrooms hadn't been attended to in quite some time. The tables were sticky, no ketchup or syrup at the tables either. The food was mediocre with little seasoning, biscuits were dry but gravy was okay. The mimosa came with champagne in one cup and a cup full of pulp to mix into the champagne. It tasted disgusting! (They removed it from the bill but having a mimosa would have been nice) The staff was cleaning the dishes and eating in eyesight of the patrons. We even had to ask for more water. I would not recommend for brunch or breakfast. I gave it a two because the teenagers were nice. read more

What a GREAT place! I went there for a late Sunday Brunch. Fortunately Wild Wheat only serves Brunch all day on Saturday and Sunday. What a Brunch it is! The pancakes are wonderful as a plus they come with REAL MAPLE SYRUP (as God intended). Now you might think that since they serve maple syrup is why I gave them five stars - not true. The service was excellent the bacon was very tasty. The Late and Mocha were served at a perfect temperature unless you are like my wife you like to drink her coffee scalding hot.
