The best I've had in a long time!! Shaved ice and ice cream together hits every time. I got the blue coconut and strawberry with a vanilla ice cream base. They have small, medium and large. The small one is big though so I can only imagine how much the large is. The staff were kind and so patient. In addition the orders came out fast and that was helpful since it was hot and we had kids. There is also some seating outside like 4 umbrella picnic tables. Please go and enjoy. Wild West Shave Ice at 1640 W University Dr, Denton, TX 76201 Today I had one of the most awesome experiences. First one the hostess/ cashier or the person who took my order had a very energetic personality. I felt very welcomed as a customer. Second I feel like low-key this is one of the most unique and cool places to visit in the City of Denton. It's a shaved ice location. Not to mention the deal that you get on the sizes and the amount. I was ordering the large and she talked me down to a medium (the price as of 2025 was $6) and I was extremely happy that I got the medium. You definitely get your money's worth. This also includes any topping Instantaneously this is my go-to spot. Thought I had another spot that actually is seasonal but now this place is open more throughout the year. They definitely will be getting my patriotism continuously as a customer. Two thumbs up five stars highly recommend the experience. read more

Went here for the first time finally and tried the smal shaved ice with sour gummy worms on the bottom, sour grape, pickle juice, and cherry as my flavors, and tajin on top. I really enjoyed the sour grape and pickle juice flavors and those flavors pair well together. I love cherry and found their cherry syrup is a lil light in flavor but I still enjoyed it mixed in with my other flavors. I would love to see a sour option for the topping. Sour spray or sour salt would be an amazing option for me and ppl like me who love a super sour shaved ice. However, the service was great and the girl who took our order explained the menu to us and was very helpful. They made the shaved ice very fast and it was good and juicy. I love that they accept cash, card, and tap. The prices are also very good and I love how the toppings dont cost extra. Love the aesthetic of the stand and the drive up option for when I'm being lazy. I think I will definitely come here quite often in the summer as I plan to be in denton more often with my family and friends. read more

Beautiful little shack with nice seating and shade. Also great pricing with no upcharge for toppings. Best part was the employees they were so kind to my 3 year old and even gave him a big snow ball to play with. Whatever they're paid they 100% deserve a raise. read more
