It was worth the 20+ minute drive to checkout thier custard ice cream. Can't wait to come back here again real soon!!!

This is the 2nd time we've gone this week. 1st time a couple of days ago, and I went again today cause me and the hubby have been craving it since. we love the flavors and texture of the italian ice. I'm so into the banana gelati and my husband is going wild on the cherry italian ice. The place is small but clean. no outside sitting but there were tables available if you want to eat there. The girl that served us was nice and polite. for sure would recommend this place! read more

Amazing Italian ice with custard. This place is very good. I would have to say this place is highly similar to "FrostBites" down the street in the city of Cerritos as the flavors are on point. Custard is delicious. My only thing is they put crazy amounts of food coloring. You don't have to add that much food coloring, your ice cream is very good without it. Another thing is they don't open on Sundays. I get it, we all need a day off, but usually Sunday is a day that people venture out for ice cream and such. Anyhow, I will say it again, please turn down the food coloring. Your ice cream is great without it. Hands-down, Cherry is my favorite! *Thank you for responding Lee. Cherry and blue raspberry. read more

This place is SO GOOD. And when I say SO GOOD I mean, that I could come every day and not get bored. All the flavors are so good its hard to pick just one! It is nice that there is a drive through. It looks clean inside too. Thanks for this gem :) read more

So yummyyyyy. Perfect mom and son date. We loved it. Great customer service as well. Wish there was outside seating but it's okay

Loved the frozen custard and Italian ice at this spot! I tried the vanilla custard with blue raspberry, cherry, and lemon--reminded me of a bomb pop and it was fantastic. Great to have such a solid dessert option in Norwalk. The service was excellent. The staff member, though I didn't catch her name, was very friendly and offered us several samples to mix and match flavors, which we really appreciated. The prices are reasonable, and it's a perfect local spot for a sweet treat. Definitely worth supporting! read more

Amazing sweet treat. Similar to Joes Italian Ice but might even be better . Fast and friendly service. read more

We're so glad we found this place nearby our house! We're huge fans of Joes Italian Ice in Anaheim, and this place is right on par, while being much more accessible for us. It's a small shop located next to an Arco gas station with a decent amount of parking, a few outdoor walk-up windows, and a drive thru! Huge props for the drive thru. One of my biggest gripes with Joe's is having to fight for parking and then stand outside in long line. The 2 workers that helped us were extremely friendly, and I could tell they care a lot about customer service. A+ here forsure. We ordered a small and medium gelati. The small came with 2 layers of custard and the medium came with 3. The custard is thick, fluffy, and semi-sweet. Almost reminds me of Cool Whip. Very good, and they're generous with how much they give you. It's not quite as sweet or creamy as Joe's custard, but it's very close. We got Blue Raspberry, Strawberry, and Ramune flavored ice with our gelatis. All great tasting, but Blue Raspberry was our clear favorite. Really cool to see a unique flavor like Ramune on the board. Joe's ice has a smoother consistency, while Wild Scoops is a bit on the icier side. Again, though, very close. Overall, this will be our new go-to Italian ice spot! In a direct comparison to Joe's, I'd have to give Joe's the win. However, Wild Scoops comes very close in terms of flavors and textures, with awesome service, and while being much closer to home (for us, at least). We're also happy to support a local small business. Bonus points for the drive thru for quick, late night ice runs! We'll definitely be back, and I can easily recommend this place to anyone in the area. read more

Wild Scoops is easy to find once you spot the Arco's. It's a big cube building with a small parking lot. The owner, Lee, let me try the Italian ice as a sample, but initially I felt the strawberry Italian ice was too sweet so I went for a shake. It was pretty thick, and I didn't realize since they also gave me a spoon, but the red straw has a tiny little scoop at the end too. Very cute, but that spoon end was not practical. To be honest I thought the cup seemed small - but my eyes tend to be bigger than my stomach. The ice cream was really filling so it's worth it! I came back a few days later with my mom to try more and we got the ice cream sandwich and mango Italian ice. The sandwich was okay (probably wouldn't get it again unless I was craving the chocolate cookie) but the mango italian ice was so good!! Lee actually recommended the manga Italian ice as one of the most popular items on my first visit, but I didn't listen because it's not usually one of my top fruity flavors. I'm so glad my mom ended up getting it. It's not too sweet and has a more authentic taste to it. Plus, we saved part of it in the freezer and it held up with the same quality the next day with no problem. I thought there was only custard on the top like a whipped cream topping, but to my pleasant surprise there was another layer of custard on the bottom too. The styrofoam cups feel a bit delicate to hold sometimes, but I think it helps keep your hands from getting cold when holding it. read more

All I can say is wow! I've always drove by and wanted to try and tonight was the day. The girl working was very friendly. She helped us with our questions. Once our order was placed, they went to work fast. We were in and out in about 5 minutes. I got the cherry and pineapple gelati and it was delicious. I liked it better than other places that I have tried. Wild Scoops just got a regular customer! read more

Awesome customer service with Bree! Rlly sweet and fun to talk to :) Great conversationalist.

Finally had the chance to stop by Wild Scoops, and definitely not disappointed. This was a lifesaver on those 100+ degree days we went through. When you do come, you may need to bring a bit of patience, as the lines can get really long. For the size, they have a pretty big parking lot, but the drive through line snakes right through it. Some days, you'll be able to pull right up to the window, while at other times, you'd think you're in the line for that one burger chain with the palm trees. You have the option to park and walk up to the order counter if that floats your boat, but I don't recall if there are any seating options out in front. Everything is hand scooped, which is the main reason you experience such a long wait. The prices are very reasonable for what you do get, and as soon as that little bit touches your tongue, you're in heaven...especially on a hot summer day. The Italian ices are very rich and flavorful, reminding me of the Italian ice that you could find at the local corner stores or Italian ice shops in Philly. Arguably just as good. The lack of a fifth star is due to the way the drive thru is set up. Unless you get down and go to the walk up counter, the only way to find out what flavors they have available - and they do change flavors daily due to supply and demand - is to pull up to the ordering window, which doubles as the pickup window. Snaking through the middle of the parking lot is one thing - something more relegated to the property owner, but perhaps it would be a good idea to maybe either have an electronic menu or a changeable menu - think a wooden marquee sign - and an ordering speaker at the beginning of the drive through. This way, the order is hopefully ready by the time you roll up to the window. Just food for thought. Am I going to come back? Hell yeah. read more

The service was sweet and fast, I absolutely love that this place has a drive thru because we all know how much a difference in time that can make. The custard was so creamy and there were so many flavors of Italian ice to choose from! If you were to ask me I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this and joes plus there wasn't a huge line at all!! I'm so glad this place opened up next to us it is now my go to spot when I want a cold treat. Parking can be an issue when the drive thru line is super long. You may not be able to get out. The best bet is to park on the streets next to the place or in the lot next door. I'm not sure if you could get in trouble for that but I haven't had a problem yet. Now for the Italian ice they have tons of flavors and they also have a good selection of ice cream flavors. Some do run out and some are limited. I'm pretty basic when it comes to my choices but the flavor is way more than basic. I always get the Gelati which is a layered desert made with Italian ice and frozen custard. I usually either go with cherry and or mango flavor for the Italian ice. Then the frozen custard is mixed in with the Italian ice and they put a nice little scoop on the top. The custard is really good and I could honestly just eat that by it self but when mixed with the Italian ice it just gives it that extra kick and extra flavor. It's so good during the summer we would honestly come here at least twice a week. We were obsessed lol They also have a punch card where if you buy 10 you get one free so make sure to ask for a card. The workers are all really nice even when it's super busy they seem to have great attitude which is always a plus. As long as the flavors never change this will always be my first choice for a sweet treat. read more

I tried this place last weekend, and it was absolutely delicious! I ordered the Gelati, and it was super delicious! The italian ice was refreshing, without being too icy. The soft serve was also really nice and creamy. The line however was pretty long. There's a drive thru here as well, so they have to multi-task and serve customers who walk up to the window and people driving up. But definitely worth it if you want something refreshing in the summer heat! read more

Delicious Italian ice and soft serve! If you're a fan of Joes Italian ice in Anaheim or Frostbites, you'll love this spot. They combine refreshing italian ice and creamy soft serve in their gelati and it's delicious. The worker was kind and offered me samples of the Italian ice and soft serve when I mentioned it was my first time visiting. The mango is a must try- doesn't taste artificial at all. If you like tart flavors, try the lemon as well! The Italian ice is a bit harder/crunchier than joes/frostbites, which are smoother, but I didn't mind. There is a drive through, which is a nice touch. 5 stars- would come back! read more

My friend recommended this place to me. I was skeptical at first, especially since I was used to the best Italian Ice in OC, Joe's. I went with my friend blindly, not looking up the reviews beforehand. To my surprise, this place is definitely one of the best Italian Ice places I've had in the greater southeastern LA area. I've gone a couple of times, and the service is always great and fast. Like Joe's, there's no dine-in or sit-down options, but I do enjoy that Wild Scoops Italian Ice has a drive thru option in addition to ordering at the window! Obviously, the vibe and old-school decorations, and dog-friendly atmosphere of Joe's is nice, but sometimes you just want to enjoy a delicious Italian Ice! My personal favourite is the Cherry & Oreo Gelati! read more

Our cashier was so sweet and recommended us the mango flavor. I'm so glad we listened to his recommendation, the mango gelati was to die for. Most of the time I don't choose fruit flavors because it tastes artificial but this was sooo good! It was very sweet and creamy. The ice cream on top gave it the perfect texture. I love the balanced layers between ice cream and gelati, it gives you the perfect bite each time you dig in. I highly recommend! read more

So I was craving something like a slushy and found this place and thought YES, THIS! So we went and there was a line but that only tells me it must be a good thing to wait for and I was willing to wait. The guy taking our order was super nice and patient with us because we had questions like, wth is Italian ice? Ha. He gave us a little sample to try which was awesome and helped us make our choices and let me tell ya, it was soooo good. The consistency, the taste, everything. There's a drive thru as well but most people just waited in line outside and took their goodies and chilled by their car. We sat inside ours listening to music. Good times.
