So darn good, we ended up going both days we were visiting Anchorage! They have a variety of local flavors like wild blueberry, fireweed, spruce tips, and more as the seasons change. One of my favorite things was the option to get your scoop with "baked Alaska" - aka torched marshmallow fluff on top. It was so tasty and fun! The waffle cones also have a touch of cinnamon in them which was a nice surprise.
Fantastic ice cream and I'm devastated that I won't be able to get it again for the foreseeable future, as I was in Alaska on a work trip. I'm not ashamed to say I came a lot the week I was visiting Anchorage. No seating, and you order outside at the counter. I tried Sitka Swirl and Sunshine Club. They were both delicious - not too sweet, and great creamy texture - not icy. Their homemade caramel that's in the Sitka Swirl is phenomenal. It might be for the best that they're not located in California, because I would get their ice cream way too much. Sunshine Club has homemade lemon curd, which was fantastic and tart. It's combined with snickerdoodles and is such an indulgent treat. It would be even nicer if they had indoor seating, but alas. Highly recommend - fantastic.
This place is bumpin!! I got the Rhubarb crumb ice cream and it is BOMB. Because it's so busy, it's hard to hear when your order is called out so make sure your ears are turned on!
Located in downtown Anchorage. A good place to stop for a treat. I had the rhubarb crumble. It was pretty sweet, but hit the spot on a hot day. The ice cream had a cinnamon taste to it. We ordered at the window and were immediately given our ice cream. The staff working the window were friendly. They have different size ice cream options and you can get it in a cup or a cone. They also have some other ice cream treats.
Delicious!!! Some of these tourists spots are overpriced, but this is actually worth it! My only complaint is there's no good parking, it's nice if you're already walking through town but don't expect to easily just drive there and pick it up real quick Park in the lots and spend some time walking the streets enjoying your dessert ;)
Amazing ice cream in Anchorage. We stopped on our way from a cruise. Kids tried POG, Chocolate flavors. They liked them. We tried wildwood and blueberry flavors. All excellent. Highly recommend.
As whelmed as I was by my Campfire Smores flavored Ice cream from the Box Container stall outside 49th state brewing, mywife loved her vegan flavor. I did too. So much, we went back the next night to their more downtown location, where she got the same thing and I got the rhubarb crumble before walking back to our AirBNB. Both were amazing. Highly recommend if you're in anchorage
This is a walk-up corner of heaven. Baked Alaska ice cream cones are divine! The ice cream is quality, the cones are crispy, and who doesn't love toasted marshmallow cream? Since it's a walk-up, the vibe is very summer, friendly, and welcoming. Service is as fast as the line allows. Worth it!
Arrived in the Land of the Midnight Sun right in time for the summer solstice where I am experiencing literally the longest day of the year. Sun rose at 4:21am and is suppose to set at 11:41pm in Anchorage. However, it doesn't truly get dark as twilight lingers for hours. What screams summer more than us screaming for ice cream for handcrafted Alaskan Wild Blueberry ice cream made from Wild AK blueberries after a walk on the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail.
Yumm!!! They have some interesting flavors! I got to visit this place twice during my trip in Alaska and I like how the flavors also rotate. I tried the white raven which was similar to a cookies and cream and then I also tried the Sitka swirl which was really good with the caramel and sea salt! Make sure you try this spot if you're visiting Alaska!
Heard about this place online & reviews were amazing so we decided to check it out & it was delicious!! Different homemade flavors & options like the baked Alaska (fired Marshmallow cream on top). A must try!
We visited Wild Scoops twice during our two days in Anchorage, so I guess that review speaks for itself. Our first visit was to the E Street walk-up. It looks like maybe it once was a walk-in, but this current setup works. The line was a few people deep but moved fast. I had a double scoop in a cup - the Wild Blueberry and Campfire (think s'mores ingredients). The Blueberry was smooth and delicious, and the Campfire was full of nibs and chunks. Also delicious and I'd have a hard time saying which I liked better. A double scoop is $8. Add $3.25 more and upgrade to "Baked Alaska-style," which is your scoops in a waffle cone with a toasted marshmallow topping. My daughter would like you to know that you won't regret it.
Long line but quick service! The marshmallow topping was so delicious and the ice cream was creamy.
This is some of the best ice cream I've ever had! I asked them what their top selling flavor was and they told me the "Sitka swirl." This was a caramel flavor mixed in with real vanilla. I opted to get it "Alaskan-style" with toasted marshmallow on top with a waffle cone. The cone was so delicious and the marshmallow reminded me of campfire roasted marshmallows. I think my total was around $8 and it was well worth it for how delicious it was. The location and ambiance was great as well, with local Alaskan art displayed on the wall. We will definitely be back! read more

Wow, this ice cream was amazing. I'd read the reviews and was already looking forward to it so was happy to find that it lived up to the hype! I got a scoop of White Raven (sweet cream base with Oreos) in a waffle cone - so good! There were lots of large chunks of Oreos that were soft and added the perfect amount of chocolate and texture to the sweet cream base. Best thing about the ice cream was that it wasn't too sweet so it didn't feel very heavy. The waffle cone was also really good - had a hint of cinnamon and star anise. Even better, it was their birthday the day we went so they were giving out $2 scoops. Can't get better than that. Anyway, this was some really good ice cream - I'd definitely recommend trying it and I'd definitely go back. read more

Just go here. It's rainy... 9PM and there's a line of locals. Most reasonably priced "meal in Anchorage! Traditional and avant-garde flavors to boot. Had a four flavor sampler and the winner was the Caribou Confetti! read more

Wild scoops is a fun local ice cream shop in downtown anchorage. They are always busy but the line doesn't take long. The homemade ice cream has great flavor my favorite is the rhubarb crumble it's sweet and unique and the crumble almost taste like cheesecake. This time I got the waffle cone and it was delicious on it a own with the cinnamon in the cone. My only dislike was that the cone was too powerful for the ice cream and took the flavor away from the best part. I would recommend the bowel over the waffle cone if you chose todo so. Other than that I recommend!! read more
I'm not really sure why this place has long lines or what the hype is about it. My guess is because Anchorage has little options for ice cream. It's very expensive, for small portions. I went there multiple times on my visit to Anchorage, & the flavors never seemed to change. I tried most of the flavors. None of them really blew me away. However, on a positive note, I think it's great that Wild Scoops uses all local ingredients in their products. The waffle cones were made fresh & delicious. Also, get the Baked Alaskan...you won't regret it. I did enjoy the Sunshine Club. Definitely a unique flavor. Sweet cream, lemon curd, & Snickerdoodles. read more
Handcrafted locally in Anchorage, there's 10 ice cream flavors with other goodies such as ice cream sandwiches and popsicles to choose from. The fireweed ice cream flavor was superb! It's sort of a berry flavor with a hint of honey. It's really good!!! $4 for a single scoop isn't outrageous considering everything else in the state of Alaska is pretty hefty. Plus, you automatically get a waffle cone without having to pay extra for it. :) Wild Scoops has a few bar spots near the window and two benches outside, but other than that, there's really nowhere to sit. This place gets pretty packed when the hubs and I passed by on a Sat night so it's definitely popular with the locals. read more
This review is long overdue, precisely 3 years overdue. Chanced upon this place on the first leg of our trip to Alaska and enjoyed it so much that we ensured we visited again before leaving. They have the most amazing flavors (Wild blueberry is my favorite) and the perfect ice cream, creamy, tasty and delicious! The roasted marshmallow topping is simply the best! Will definitely revisit if we ever go back to Anchorage again. read more
Everything you've heard is true. This ice cream shop is amazing and the line is worth it. I had the fireweed ice cream with the marshmallow cream topped cone. So. Good. I had no idea what fireweed was. It's like cream and slightly floral red hots. Sounds questionable, but it was delicious. The anise in the waffle cone was also a surprisingly delicious addition. read more
Great little shop in Anchorage! There was a line out of the door when we drove past, in 35 degree March weather, and that's how we knew we had to stop. When you walk inside the smell of the waffle cones is the first thing you'll notice. You can't help but get a cone once you've tried a few flavors and made your decision. I had the Thai Iced Tea since it's vegan and I'm lactose intolerant. read more
This ice cream is made from goddess knows what heavenly cream. I don't usually put businesses up on a pedestal, but this ice cream shop usually has a line as long as the list of people who want a Trader Joe's in Anchorage...and that's pretty much everyone in town. I'm surprised they don't have one of those line holder people with a sign that reads--in badly written print-- 'END OF THE LINE.' Legend has it that tourists kayak across the Cook Inlet into Anchorage for a taste of this glacier that sits on a waffle. The ice cream is so wild and...and scoopin' good. Every combination of wild berry and spice known to the feral Alaska wilderness can be found on their menu. If you're willing to walk on the wild wild side, for just $3(?) more you can get your own mini Alaskan tundra, baked with an industrial torch (in the form of a marshmallow) on the top of your wild WILD ice cream. Legend has it that the ice cream can double as a face mask because you don't just want to eat it. You want to absorb the sugary goodness through your pours. ...OK, you got me, that last part I made up. But still...no ice cream in the world has ever come so close to bringing out the wild scoop in all of us. read more
Holy Mary. Words fail me. There's a reason every single review on here has 5 stars. Despite very long lines and a frustrated companion... the happiness imbued by this uniquely Alaskan frozen delight leaves me speechless. Just wow. And yes to the Baked Alaska. Yes. YES. Oh and a single scoop is exceedingly generous. Two scoops... I honestly can't fathom how someone could handle that much decadence. Exquisite. read more
You guys. They torch your marshmallow fluff on top of your ice cream. If this alone does not make you to try wild scoops, then I'm not sure what else I can say. The flavors here changes often and you may not get the same flavor the next day. I love love LOVE that the samples I tried tasted exactly like their names. Granted, I don't know what moose tracks taste like, but the Thai tea, espresso, and fruity pebbles ice cream taste just like it!!!! We came at the perfect time as the lunch hour/afternoon snack hour rolled in creating Aline going out the door. It's not cheap, so don't expect Baskin Robbins scoop prices. read more
I first fell in love with Wild Scoops at the South Anchorage Farmer's Market. I'm so excited they now have a brick and mortar store. I attended the grand opening last month, and the line was well worth the wait. The ice cream quality is top-notch. Creamy, smooth, and sweet. I love the unique flavors and how they use local ingredients. I tried the Yukon Gold flavor at the grand opening, which is sweet cream ice cream with homemade fudge and potato chip toffee. I'd never tried ice cream with potato chips so I wasn't sure what I would think, but it was delicious. The sweet and salty flavors compliment each other very well. My latest favorite is Rhubarb Crumble, which is lightly spiced sweet cream with homemade rhubarb jam and an oat crumble. I look forward to trying more flavors (fingers crossed that they come out with a fireweed flavor). Definitely worth trying a scoop or two if you're downtown or happen to see them at one of the farmer's markets. read more
Keeping this one short - go here!! Flavors are yummy, unique, and they let you order split-scoops (for those of us who can't decide). You can also get a baked Alaska - waffle cone with toasted marshmallow on top. While I was too full to get this yesterday, I'll definitely have to go back for it! read more

The most amazing ice cream we have ever had! The employees were so kind and willing to let us sample the different choices. We went against our own rules and both ordered the same scoop because it was so delicious. We ordered the sunrise which was a sweet cream base with lemon curd and snickerdoodles. 10/10 absolutely delicious, fairly priced and wonderful service. An absolutely must in Anchorage! read more
ICE CREAM... my weakness when I am strong. This micro-creamery tucked between a Rock and a Fat bird, seems to be sporting a line every time that I'm in the neighborhood. I finally broke down and joined the masses, a line 10 deep. I It appears intimidating to attempt to score a fix at this little trap house for sweet tooth's. I don't think that it took a full 10 minutes for the Wild crew to scoop us all out of there. The menu of flavors is incredible. The combinations and toppings are wildly creative. The ice cream is some of the best in town. Step to the plate, muster the courage, get in the line and prepare for a treat! read more

Super yummy and a great concept to do "baked Alaska " style cones. Everyone in town will refer you here and they are NOT cheap it's going to run you 8 bucks. They have about 8 flavors to choose from I got got the root beer, delish, toasted marshmallow topping adds that something extra special. Highly recommend ! read more
