Needed a snack while walking around Anchorage, before getting on our charter bus to Seward, and was recommended to try Wild Scoops. Unfortunately the brick & mortar location downtown was already closed for the season (we were there end of August), but the trailer was open. We loved the blueberry, (vegan) wildberry, and (vegan) rhubarb -- couldn't even tell the latter were vegan.
Wow, the Sitka Swirl was the BEST salted caramel I have ever tasted (and I am an expert on this subject). The caramel was perfect, , not too sweet, and oozed out of the ice cream all the way to the last bite.
This ice cream is so good! It was perfect after having lunch at 49th state. They let you do two flavors for the single scoop which is nice. They also let you sample flavors! I got the white raven and another flavor I can't remember the name of which had a marshmallow base and chocolate covered graham crackers. It was like s'mores. Both were delicious and had lots of mix ins. I would definitely come again!
So good we kept coming back! The caramelized fluff was devine and I'm still thinking about it months later. Do I remember what flavor I had? Nope. But you gotta have the baked Alaska if you go. Pro points for the ambiance and being in the backyard of the brewery. Very nice touch.
The perfect stop for walking around Anchorage. The baked Alaska makes every flavor shine, but no help needed making these flavors shine! I love trying the specials and there are always great options. Ice cream is all local and fresh churned and the cones smell amazing if you happen to grab a bite while they are making them. Highly recommend grabbing a freshly made cone and exploring downtown Anchorage!
Delicious ice cream at a decent cost. Wild blueberries flavor was good, vanilla flavor is one of the best vanillas I've tried, and POG flavor is so refreshing. The baked Alaska is a bit on the heavy side but a treat for the eyes and mouth.
Great creamy ice cream. Flavors that pop. We had rhubarb w strusel swirl & smore for lunch today. Planning to head back after dinner!
This place is right next to the 49th state brewing which is super convenient. It has little cute tables outside where you go up and order whatever it is that you would like my friends and I got a priority of things and we all absolutely loved it. It was freshly made and not overpowering with any flavor. Everything was amazing hands-down one of the best ice cream we have had in a long time. Just take a look at the pictures and you will see how delicious everything looks. The service is super fast and very easy to communicate. You can even get samples before deciding on what you would like. Will definitely be back to this place.
Great spot for dessert after dinner at the 49th Street Brewery. I had the Rhubarb Crumble Baked Alaska ($11.25) and it was delicious. This outdoor location has picnic tables and live music in the evening.
This was so cute! Down the stairs by 49th State Brewing, I loved the ice cream here. I got the s'mores flavor in a cone, and the cookies and cream flavor was also really good when I sampled it. Really high quality, good variety, and reasonable prices. I didn't love the Baked Alaska topping (way too sweet! and I love sweet things), but it was so photogenic, and I loved that it was so quick and made to order. Friendly staff, too.
Great flavors, we feel sizing is inconsistent but always a hit!! You need to try baked Alaska at least once. Every year when I visit Alaska I always end up visiting every few days Fireweed, spruce tips, rhubarb crumble, a pilots life for me, & Mt Redoubt are my top flavors. My friend and my partner really like the chocolate! It's hard to go wrong with anything, especially since you can do samples. read more

Super cute space. With locally made ice cream, it seems with locally sourced or at the very least locally inspired ingredients and cute put together as options for ordering. Our kids tore this stand apart and ate it up. The staff was patient and attentive and made the whole experience easy. The seating and play area near by helped as well. Definitely a sweet spot. Pun intended. read more

Such a cute place and there are a few locations. Service was good and quick Ice cream was very good. I decided to go with the Wild Blueberry because a tour guide informed me that they grow all their blueberries in the state so they are fresh and specific to Alaska berries! It was quite good (and I'm a chocolate-fan). My boyfriend got the Sitka Swirl which comes with the Baked Alaska. The torched marshmallow fluff was delicious and it's apparently home made. read more
Wild scoops is a must-visit ice cream shop in Downtown Anchorage, and this is their new "pop-up" location in 49th State Brewing's beer garden (yay, beer and ice cream!). Their flavor selection is awesome; most flavors use local ingredients that are in season (like Alaskan blueberries). They also always have a couple dairy-free flavors on tap, including (usually) a sorbet and a non-dairy ice cream. Their signature feature is their "Baked Alaska" topping, which is a MUST TRY, it's so good that it's the baked Alaska by which I judge all others. FYI: if you are dairy free, the actual baked Alaska does not have any dairy in it, but the cone does. There's lots of seating in the beer garden! read more

Great ice cream and wonderful ambiance. The ice cream is the same at all locations BUT the one downtown (next to 49th State) is special! It's outside and sometimes there's live music. It can be busy but the the servers work fast to get the orders done, even when you get your ice cream in the "Baked Alaska" vessel (brûléed marshmallow fluff piped on top of your choice of ice cream in a waffle cone) What's not to love? read more
It goes without saying that Wild Scoops has always been my favorite Alaskan made ice cream. I was so excited when we were out walking downtown and discovered they have opened ANOTHER location with tables outside the backside of 49th State Brewing. This is a wonderful addition to downtown tucked in a quiet spot. All the great flavors without the hassle of being on a busy street. Love it! read more
