Thanks to Elite Yelper: Daniella, I was reminded this Mexican ice cream parlor is finally open! They are located just past Taco Bell on Tudor (coming from midtown). Their building faces "L & L's." La Michoacana's space is bright, clean, and large. Beautiful murals and art pieces decorate their walls. They have an ample amount of table/chairs and even a pretty amazing children's area off towards the back. I most enjoyed their service which was welcoming and informative. I never had to guess what anything was. La Michoacana makes all their items fresh, to include their icecream. This visit we ordered a gazpacho, mangonada, tosti elote, and a mango paleta. We loved everything! We can't wait to be regulars! Highly recommend.

You can find this shop in a shopping strip on Tudor with the Ghost Kitchen. Super cute and colorfully decorated little ice shop. The owner(s) of this place put a lot of thoughts and creativity into this place. You can tell by the decorations along with the murals. They do have some food you can order as well. My 7 years old got the Cookie Monster ice cream, the 5 years old got the strawberry popsicle, and I got a 16 oz horchata and a fruit cup. Came to be $30 with tip. 7 years old enjoyed his ice cream; the 5 years old was not used to the fresh ice cream and wanted me to take the seeds out of the popsicles. I took a bite of his ice cream and his older brother finished it. It was quite fresh and delicious. Horchata was delicious and fruit cup was fresh and a good size for $8.99. Kids enjoyed playing in the play area. Not many customers so the girls working at the counter were attentive and friendly. Would recommend and will come back. They have a loyal stamp card as well.

Yummy fresh sweet fruit with chili spices- I was gifted a rose for Mother's Day!

Clean fun bright colorful environment. Fresh fruit was sweet and just right chili spices. Tostada Shrimp ceviche was yummy. Service was excellent. They have a fun play area for kids.

Horchata $7.95 with cash only. The bigger size

Finally got to go here, I've been wanting to try the strawberry Fresca drink. They don't have it when I asked if they had it. Lady said they made it fresh and it changes daily. Mentioned a horchata, hibiscus, and a strawberry with red and green apple. I asked her if she would recommend the strawberry one or the horchata one. She got all attitude towards me, "idk..." and gave me the side eye and didn't acknowledge me at all... I thought it was quite weird thinking ok maybe a bad day. So I said horchata. I can usually tell if I like the place through their horchata. She asked me what size said two sizes. To be honest, my brain doesn't work as well anymore as I've aged and I kind of have to see it so I asked to see the big one. She got angry because the way the grabbed the cups each cup I am telling you cups went flying as she grabbed the cup. She grabbed it so angrily idk what the problem was and I was so excited to try the place. I honestly when customer service isn't happen for me I usually always leave but I've tried so hard to make time to come here I wanted to try it and I figured I wouldn't be back unless the horchata was AMAZING. I noticed she didn't give me my drink but the customers next to me were given their ice creams. She walked mine to the counter. Asked me how I wanted to pay, I said card. It was from $7.95 to $8 something. I can't remember exactly but it was a BIG JUMP.... I was like nope... I'll pay cash. She asked me if I wanted a stamp card and I said no.. because I kind of knew I wasn't going to go back. Horchata isn't my style. It's okay but it's too cinnamon-y for me and too expensive for what it was. I looked at another comment and I noticed it was geared to racial issues. Now I am Filipino but I have white in me. My skin is white as day. But idk if it was racial or anything but it was enough for me to not get a stamp card because I pretty much knew I wouldn't be back. Kind of disappointed to be honest. I was excited to get to this place and I haven't been this excited to do a review on this place. Looked like my kind of place. Sad...

First time at this place and tried their yogurt. It was very tasty and flavorful. The staff were friendly and the dining area was clean. We will definitely come back and try more of their menu items.

Finally a piece of Mexico that is needed for the summer! The fun colors definitely remind me of Mexico. The ice cream is said to be made in-house and the fruit tastes so sweet. There are ice creams and popsicles that are water based and milk based so there are some gluten free options. And the flavors of ice cream are very topical and fruity. The flavors of popsicles are unique and creative, perfect for a sweet tooth. (I saw a fruity pebbles flavor :O) This paleteria (ice cream parlor) is unique as it has a small kids corner where kids (probably for ages 3-10) can play connect 4, pac-man and more. I got a magonada with scoops of mango, lime, and passion fruit, and it was the best. Only thing I would have like different is more chamoy, I like it spicy.

It sits at the end of a mostly abandoned strip mall. It is noticeably more spacious than its competitors. Like all places that require a waiver, try to get that taken care of online, before you're there physically. It's not uncommon to experience an incompetent employee working the pay desk, and holding everyone up. Give yourself plenty of time and exercise patience...it's for the kids. There are lots of tables available for you to sit and spread out. I appreciate the long tabletop with stools, that sits directly in front of the trampoline area, so you can further helicopter parent. There are rock walls, arcade games, and other random items for the children to enjoy, in addition to, the trampolines. They sell dip-n-dots ice cream as well as pizza and other snacks. Naturally, Shockwave is starting to show its age in some areas. What's important to me, is that everything was safe and looked clean, including the bathrooms. My kids always have a blast and tire themselves out here. Till' next time Shockwave Trampoline Park!

But this park is also plagued with chronic drug and alcohol addicted folks who trash public areas, including human waste. This park has insufficient parking- which is split into two separate locations. One is on the west side and the other on the north east side. The NE parking lot is where you dealers and users can typically be found. Families and children are more typically found in the west parking lot. It's common to see fish and moose along in this park on this section of Chester Creek Trail. There's a cute little playground here as well on the west side. There are some very pretty bridges in this section of the trail also. This is also one of the few locations where the creek is low enough for people to safely wade during the summer. The salmon viewing pier was condemned a few years ago and it doesn't seem like the city had any plans to fix it since it was a hangout for using. It does, however, serve well enough as another one of Anchorage's little neighborhood parks, tucked back into the Airport Heights residential area. If you're on a long bike ride with the kids, this isn't a bad rest point though you might just consider Goose Lake park which is just over the nearby bridge (crossing Northern Lights). There's also a baseball field next to the hockey rink but not much else. Anchorage has quite a high number of these little parks hidden away in its neighborhoods.
