Let's face it, Alaska is very limited when it comes to kid-friendly fun places. Shockwave Trampoline Park is 1 out of the handful. Shockwave is located on the Eastside of town. It sits at the end of a mostly abandoned strip mall. It is noticeably more spacious than its competitors. Like all places that require a waiver, try to get that taken care of online, before you're there physically. It's not uncommon to experience an incompetent employee working the pay desk, and holding everyone up. Give yourself plenty of time and exercise patience...it's for the kids. There are lots of tables available for you to sit and spread out. I appreciate the long tabletop with stools, that sits directly in front of the trampoline area, so you can further helicopter parent. There are rock walls, arcade games, and other random items for the children to enjoy, in addition to, the trampolines. They sell dip-n-dots ice cream as well as pizza and other snacks. Naturally, Shockwave is starting to show its age in some areas. What's important to me, is that everything was safe and looked clean, including the bathrooms. By 8, they told us to have everyone do the cake and eat, and be out of the place by 8:30. We just left a prepaid birthday party. Our hosts paid for pizza included with the jump time and party table. We all checked in and were told it was coming and the kids could jump longer to wait. It never came. 2 hours later they said it wasn't coming. When the host asked about a refund for the pizza she paid for the manager said there was a "tone" and we all needed to leave the property immediately. At best it ruined a little boys birthday at worst is blatant theft. I encouraged the host to have her credit card challenge the charges if the manager doesn't refund the pizza price. read more

I came here with my two children. Just a little last minute family outing seeing as they have been cooped up with me for a while. I honestly cannot say this was a bad idea. My kids had a blast. My 9 year old and two year old played in tandem on all of the trampolines. There were big kids in there who were kind of jerks jumping on the trampoline to close to my smaller than average 2 year old. Often knocking her over, but the staff there were not having it. I thought the teenagers were just going to mingle the whole time, but they were actually working. I didn't have to constantly have an eye on my kids. They got to have fun and I got to sit instead of hover. This trampoline park is actually very well kept. I expected a stinky dusty dirty place because well, Alaska. But it was not like this. It was actually fairly clean and spacious. There was a whole birthday party happening around us and it still felt like my kids had just about the whole place to themselves. We only paid $15 for an hour. My daughter turns two soon so I'm assuming that her age played a great deal, but nonetheless that's affordable. Both of them fell asleep in the car from all the jumping and Rick climbing they did. There are a few arcade games and a grabber machine with like 3 toys in it. Thank you!*** I put a deposit down on 5/28 for my granddaughter to have her 13th birthday here on June 6th as the numbers of new COVID cases was very low. Today, May 31st, it was announce there were 27 new cases yesterday which is a huge jump. We decided it wasn't safe to have the party and called to cancel, but Shockwave refused to refund the deposit, said we shouldn't have booked a party during a pandemic, and even accused us of trying to "take" money from a small business. Seriously? Guess where this large family won't be having parties in the future? Shockwave, you just lost a lot more money than you gained by refusing to return a deposit when it is again, clearly unsafe to have a party at a trampoline park. Shame read more

It looks like they now have a separate check in area for bday parties so you don't have to wait with everyone else just coming to jump. I like this place so much better than get air. Prices are similar but this place is much cleaner, has more fun random things for kids to do (bouncy house, obstacle course, basketball, two huge areas full of lanes to jump divided by age, rock walls and other cool stuff). I like that they have food and drink too even though it is pricey. You can't bring outside food. The mini doughnuts were ok, I didn't try the ice cream but they do have the dots ice cream which is cool. Tons of seating for parents and new massage chairs (not tore up like get air). We are beyond pleased with our visit to Shockwave. We rented this place out exclusively for a group function and the entire process was not only easy and hassle-free free, but it was also swift. Our group was able to make the most of their bouncing time. This trampoline park has something for everyone! There's lots of different trampolines and obstacles. There is even basketball, dodgeball, and volleyball! We have an infant and he was able to have fun bouncing. I was able to sit inside the bouncy house they had and held him for his first bouncy house experience. The staff is friendly, attentive, and they do not haggle you. I love that even though we were quoted for an estimated party size we were only charged for the actual amount of people that bounced. I highly recommend this place for a large group function. We've gone to Shockwave easily over 50 times in the last couple years, and have had 3 birthday parties hosted there. I took my 2 five year olds on New Years Eve and paid $30 for them to play for one hour, playing along with them the entire time. The staff is what is killing this place! I love the options they have. Back when we began the staff were cordial and even played with my toddlers, throwing a hoop every once in awhile, or grabbing a ball for them that rolled off. The staff now does not greet you, doesn't smile, does not speak to you or your children, or even give eye contact throughout interactions when they're fitting kids with harness for climbing, My boys love the foam pit, love it!! I loved the foam pit in gymnastics when I was little so I get it. There were three children at Shockwave at 6 pm New Year's Eve. My two five year olds, and another littler child that was sitting with their parents at a table while we were in the pit. I was on the edge of the foam pit with my boys and my son was throwing some foam pieces with my other son, staff comes up and tells my child to not have foam hit his face because it's "nasty." Nasty? There are germs but every time you jump in the pit foam they hit your face when you're 5, that is why we shower after we play hard there. A few minutes later another staff breaks from their group chat and tells my children, "Hey, don't dig!" which startled my son. My son was tossing foam squares behind him and playing, but not digging, it's not as if we had reached the bottom and there was just the two of them together in the pit. Another 5 minutes goes by and the same staff comes up again, doesn't speak to me, but hollers at my preschoolers, "Stop doing that!" I was annoyed we were alone in a foam pit getting harrassed incessantly and spoke to the manager, Lexi. She explained that the foam pit is a course meant to work through and not idle in and she doesn't see it as an issue if they aren't busy, but that's the rule. My children are too small to work their way through that pit, they get exhausted and that's why they hang 3 feet from the edge and play. If the staff would have spoke to ME and explained that they couldn't play in there, I would have understood because it was a rule. With them hollering at the kids while I was RIGHT there, I just felt very picked on. It wasn't a fun time. I don't care for the staff, and that was such a horrible one hour for thirty dollars I plan to drive out of the way to Get Air and fingers crossed have a better experience but am bummed out, it's such a nice venue with amazing options, the staff just kills the mood though. read more

Although there a lot if kids...older ones jumping in the younger childrens' lanes. The staff were there to monitor and redirect children getting "too rough" or not following the rules. This was at the Anchorage location. Better to go early morning if you have younger kids! I wanted to give a shout out to the younger staff at this park, as it was clear they were making an effort to be professional, helpful and accomidating. At our visit on 1/20/24, two young teens (staff) Adonnis and Bobbi (excuse spelling errors) were top notch in the customer service. From the minute we checked in, Bobbi helped us with computer stuff, accomidated our concerns, he was professional and friendly! Once in the park, Addonis did a good job checking in families, children, adults etc. He was also observed doing a great job supervising and monitoring the chaos and craziness of the harness, rock wall climbing, he was fair, helpful and gave the kids high fives after accomplishing the climb! Both staff, especially for being new hires did a great job and provided service excellence during our visit! Nice work guys! The park was observed to be clean and well kept, even with the full facility and multiple birthday parties going on during the night. (Our visit was at 5:30ish. Older kids and more kids started coming about 6:30 and on.) I would reccomend Shockwave over Get Air when it comes to safety and the condition the condition the park was upon our visit. read more

so disappointed in the management here. how disrespectful and degrading they are to families. the way they spoke to this father in front of his two children over a matter that could have easily been said and understood, he was so respectful and humble. the authority seeking manager was beyond an embarrassment to this business. the business that from the looks of it NEEDS us customers. im so glad I heard this going on so I was able to step in and let her know how wrong she was and to tell that father he did not deserve to be treated and talked to and threaten that way. wtf is wrong with people. you are supposed to be a positive figure representing this company. should be ashamed. and you are mentoring young employees and teaching them that that's okay. shame on you read more

If i could give this place ZERO stars, I would‼Management & staff was TERRIBLE & UNBELIEVABLY RUDE. We booked a bday party for my daughter there which originally was suppose to be at GetAir (.. I regret not going so much - because we have had WAY BETTER SERVICES & accommodating staff at Get Air). The place was super empty so I was thinking this is great, we got the place to ourselves. Only to be followed around & badgered about our time limit there. Running around to gather the kids, while trying to pass out party bags, and pizza to only have our staff host remind us how many minutes left before they charge your card if you go over your time by a minute. RIDICULOUS! We asked if there was another party after us the reason why they wanted us out -- but to my surprise -- There was NOTHING. More-so, they wouldn't allow us to sit on ANY other table but the one table that came with our party package. Mind you? Its an empty place (which from the services they provide -- I can see why NOBODY wants to go there) AND 6 empty tables. Some parents were just sitting there waiting for their kids & the party host told them they can't "SIT" there. We asked about sitting at the adjacent round / waiting tables to wait & party host said they must stay with the party. How do they expect to run this place if they can't be AT LEAST A LITTLE ACCOMMODATING? At first I didn't mind paying the extra fee but dealing with BADGERING & RUDE Staff ruined the whole celebration & vibe for our kid's party. We went here for the first time for youngest step daughters friends birthday party that was thrown. All the kids there had a blast. Ours was so worn out by the end she passed out on the way home! (that's never happened!) When she was a little younger her dad took her to swim lessons and ice skating lessons and she didn't have near as much fun or use up as much energy as she did here. I was happy to say she had a blast given we never considered going here before. Wish I had known a few years ago sooner since she's getting older now. Our fist visit and we were extremely impressed. We came for "Munchkin Monday" which is 1/2 off for kids 6 and under. Adults can bounce too at the regular price. You CAN use socks from other bounce places or pay $2 for theirs. There are rules and the workers enforce them well. I have no qualms about this as it ensures that things are as safe as can be. They also have a lane for kids four and under and 5-6 on the running walls which is brilliant. Teeny tots have a relatively save runway to not collide with big kids. That said--- I would say this place is best for older kids. There is so much varied terrain-- some of which is challenging like the ninja course, which has a one way flow-- that smaller kiddos may be left without much to do unless a parent is glued to their side. Choose what is best for you child and athletic prowess. Clean, professional and helpful staff. Definitely give it a visit! read more

My kids and I went tonight looking for some Friday night entertainment and with the ice all around we really wanted to expend some energy. Staff was super helpful, friendly and even took the time to talk to my kids which is hard to find in many places. I am taking away a star because they shut down the water fountains when we were there, kind of forcing us to purchase water. I don't want to be too harsh though I know we went through a pretty big quake. All in all we had a great time, will all sleep well tonight and will be back in the near future. read more

After the awful customer service from the Manager (named Angel) at Get Air, we immediately left and came to Shock Wave...what a great experience! The staff at Shock Wave was very friendly and seemed like they all liked working there. So many options too! Trampoline, rock climbing, games, laser tag and food! Mostly importantly nice staff. My daughter and her friend jumped and played...had a great time. They played on the games in the end and they had earned tickets, when they went to go exchange the tickets for a prize...they were short just a couple of tickets, but the staff member was generous and gave the girls the prize they wanted AND princess crowns each. That was VERY nice and they didn't have to do that! He made the girls' day! We will be back! Even considering it for my daughters birthday! Great job Shock Wave! read more

This place was a lot of fun. Lots of staff around to help and they were very friendly and helpful. My child hurt his foot and this lovely young lady (staff member) offered him ice and gave him a high five when he got up. Fun music playing to keep the energy high. Dislikes were the garbage cans were overflowing and no where to put your stuff other than a few lockers with two benches in front. Lots of excuse me and pushy people there as well. Somewhat pricey and know you need to have special socks with grips on the bottom or you will have to buy theirs for $2. All and all I'd totally return we had a blast. read more

Let me start off with what is good in my opinion about "shockwave" first of all I found the initial waver sign up process to be very quick and easy. As soon as you walk in the door you notice that the place has been cleaned very well and they seemed to have maintained that (at least in the day I came in) and they have large lockers for rent for only .50¢ and that is a pretty good deal for a place to go and stay active for a few hours. Unfortunately in my opinion that is where the good list ends. We paid for two hours of playtime, and the place was fairly empty, there was maybe 20-30 other people in there at the time. The staff was absolutely NOT paying attention at any time to the happenings. As soon as you walk in you watch a video on do's and dont's and the first thing my kids noticed is that most everyone there is breaking a lot of the rules that were on that very video, and NO one was trying to stop anyone from breaking the rules. On this particular night there were 4 personal in "staff" shirts, and they were all and I'm not exaggerating, ALL of them were casually visiting with whom it seemed were their friends. No one was truly paying attention to the breaking of rules, in fact when I brought one instance to one of the employees attention it was not only shrugged off but the employee just walked off to a different section and leaned up on the wall and stated a conversation with another person, and did nothing at all to try and intervene on the violator. We left early because of the lack of management, even from and especially the manager. In my opinion this place isn't a safe place for anyone looking for good supervised fun with their children who intend on following the rules .if your looking for a place to run a muck on the establishment this is it. read more

This place is great for kiddos. I'm all for kids getting exercise while having a blast. Here's the issue I have had as well as many parents I spoke with while there with my child for a bday party. Their check-in system for bday parties is ridiculous, seriously, 25-30 minutes waiting in line to check in and that's after 10 minutes waiting to sign my kids waiver at a completely separate computer system. I counted a dozen folks walking around talking to one another whom happen to work for Shockwave, the management should think of pulling on of them off to check people in as parties start. I came for a family members birthday party and had a blast! Everyone there was extremely kind and very helpful. There was an issue with part of the party, which led to some of the people attending to get upset, but the whole staff and management apologized and handled the issue very efficiently and unlike any other business I've seen in town. Bought discounts from Groupon great deal till we got there. we were the only people there, the boys had 2 hours to jump, left in an hour. The employees were non verbal, no interaction or help. The boys were not aloud to use the climbing walls even though they were under the weight limit. "Boring" was what I got from the boys. They never want to go back. To start off this experience we logged and signed a waiver on a iPad first which is alright I understand that. The place was clean and there were at least 5 other people there jumping. We paid 30 dollars for a hour and a half of jumping. Which is also alright, but what made this review a one star rating was when a employee came up to us and told us we needed "jump socks".... And I wondered what the hell is a jump sock? So I looked around to see that there was a kid wearing them and I was expecting some special sock that had ankle protection or some Nike elite socks of some sort but nope, they were regular mediocre cotton socks that had some rubber material on the bottom of the sock. Like the kind little kids wear to stop sliding on a wood floor. So I went up to the register and saw that the socks were 3 dollars. I have been to different trampoline parks and none of them require you to wear "jumping socks". So the moral of this review is that shockwave is scamming people to be required buy "jump socks" to even jump around. Will not be returning. read more
