Boooooo DO NOT come here unless you want to inhale mold and trip and break your neck!! The ceiling is leaking water all over which makes the wood slippery. Our daughter slipped fell and skinner her knee. When we walked in the door we instantly were hit with the smell of mold. It was nothing more than a dank dusty basement. They have around three holes that are "under construction" you cannot use. We would have left immediately but the kids had their hearts set on playing. Big mistake we left after about twenty minutes. The last straw was when the girl working there came up and told us we were hitting the ball too hard at the hole in which you are trying to get it into a bucket in the water. Im not sure how else you would go about it. When we asked her what the problem was she stated that she heard it being hit over and over. We were five people so it is going to be hit over and over. This place is nasty and a complete waste of money. read more

This mini golf is amazing, even though some people have there issues I think it's amazing!!!! Great for kids and also a date night if you want a fun place to do all the bar games in the world and mini golf got to check it out!!! I went there recently on a date night and had the best time. Yeah, yeah, I know that it is in the same strange basement it's always been in, but it was super fun. First off, the owner was incredibly friendly and nice. She showed us around and was really hospitable. She was also in charge of the tunes which were really fun. In addition to mini-golf ($7/person), you could "upgrade" to unlimited access to their table games (ping-pong, air hockey, shuffleboard, pool, foosball) for $10/person. The owner also taught us how to play shuffleboard. We spent several hours there and had a blast. When we left, we felt like the amount of fun we had was way more than we paid. They fixed holes #7 and #8! So it did happen within our lifetime! Also, the lifeless green carpet that had seen better days appears to have been re-upholstered with new greens. Also, the creaky walkway that sank into the fish pond has been repaired. Which means this place has earned 2 additional stars and is no longer a steaming pile of feces. Congratulations, Castle On O'malley! You earned it. read more

By lower 48 standards, this is a one-star attraction. The Castle is in serious disrepair. But on cold winter days, it's nice that there's an indoor place where you can mini-golf and it's not terribly expensive. They also have some indoor games as well. It's a nice safe place for kids to hang out. Definitely would be more fun in groups. The owners should really be ashamed of the state of this place though... the green is torn up, attractions are broken... it really is a disgrace. But all in all, the Castle on O'Malley is kinda charming in an old-fashioned way. I hope they fix it up before they drive themselves out of business. read more

Good course overall. Although the course was very creative with fun holes, the holes were a bit run down. The smell was interesting due to the koi pond in the middle, but it was worth it because the last hole was very fun to hit your ball into the middle. The whole basement was a little mildew-y, and the people in my fam who have more allergies were sneezing by the end. However, it was still worth your money, and great place to take your family for an outing! read more

I had a party in the Castle On O'malley, and at least 25 people arrived at my private party. It was fun, and ended up playing from 4 to 10 pm. On 3 holes, one of my friends balls (no pun intended) got lost, but got jokes out of it. The experience was awesome. read more

Wow, this place needs major renovation! I use to take my camp kids to this place as a field trip and decided to relive those fun memories of mini golf. The place is not well lit and we were the only customers they had until we were on our last hole. The price for the first round is $5 per person for 18 holes. We were not told that one of the holes were out of order (Hole #8 - the one that sucks the golf ball through the "pipeline"). I was extremely disappointed in one of the holes - it was the one with the giant mountain and there use to be three holes you could putt the ball into. Now the 2 side holes are block by a rock! A lot of the fixtures/decorations were damaged - the mountain had holes in it, the white lights were only working in 1 section, and the green "grass" carpet/felt was run down which made it difficult to putt. In some spots were missing the "grass" carpet/felt that the wood platforms showed or there was an attempt to fix it with green duck tape which didn't hold up either. Some putting holes were unstable and wobbly as you walked across it. The person working there said the owner plans to renovate it. Until then, I will not return to this rundown establishment, nor would I recommend taking kids here. read more

We were just there and the place is completely remolded. It looks really great, all the greens have been replaced, all the holes are working, and the lighting is simply fantastic. Give this place a try. It's like your High School best friend's cool basement. Yes it's got somethings going against it, but it's worth the risk. The building is old, you enter by going to the basement, and you notice humid air and a smell that's different. Take five steps through the lounge and you see why. There's a huge koi pond in the middle of the golf course. In comparison to the pictures you see here the course has been fixed up and in good repair now. The young man working the shop went out of his way to make sure everyone there was happy and having fun. He toured everyone around the course, gave history of the place and Alaska which was all pretty neat. It's not a first class Billy Madison Mini Golf establishment, think instead its a great place to go have fun for a while when you got nothing else to do. For a few dollars more you can have unlimited play in the game lounge. My friend and I had a great time and will be back. Ask about the party rates too. read more

Wow I really Can't believe all the bad reviews on this place. It is a bit run down I will give it that; but it just needs some good ol' TLC prob would cure most of the problems they have. I have been going here since I was prob 9 y/o and I think a combination of lack of effort and also being the only place in anchorage for mini-golf has taken it's toll on the place. Take it from an avid mini golfer who has been on a pelthora of courses in fl and other states, this is a GOOD course. It has great character; and has much more interesting holes than most of the boring "typical" courses I saw in other states. I would mostly knock off points for lack of maintainence and the sometimes less than enthusiastic staff. I Personally never had a problem with the lighting but that could be me. I wouldn't say it's very bright. I will be going there again tommorow and afterwards I can revise this review a bit better. Though overall I would say this course is more intresting, entertaining, and more orginal than your average mini golf place. Knock one star off if unperfect lighting bothers you and for the lack of repairs. I'm a bit forgiving on the latter part. read more
