My buddy n I came here just out of the blue and even tho they start at the top of every hour and we showed up at 1:20 Morgan was super awesome and allowed us to play a room. First off he is a fantastic front of house person he was energetic and very fun. Normally the room we played which was ravens eye is played with 6-10 people with a 30% escape rate. We did it with just two people and let me tell u it wasn't easy!!!! But I used to be a room tester so I'm generally more advanced than most people at these things. I would suggest at least 4 people with this room. This is one of those must try places if you visit anchorage. You will not be disappointed with the multiple escape room! read more

I booked with Morgan and he was awesome and it's clear this was a close family run business that really cares about their puzzles and the guest experience. 3 of us are seasoned with escape rooms (20+) and completed both rooms. They were challenging and logical, very clever and some puzzles were out of the box. Absolutely loved the decor and the immersion was incredible. A lot of the room was custom made and really unique and looks like it took a lot of time, energy, and money to build. Looked at a brochure at the door and decided to go in and ask about scheduling an escape. So we met the owner, Graham his sister, and they told us about their place and what it was all about. But....they were closed. But....they opened. For us. To do a 1 hr escape. And we had never done an escape room - ever. We were able to complete the Raven's Eye with about 2 seconds to spare. Graeme. the owner was very accommodating to our group of 8! We accidentally booked another escape room with a similar name but showed up at this one thinking this was it! When we tried to cancel our reservation at the other room they were very rude and would not refund our money, Graeme said he could accommodate us if we could cancel the other room but since we couldn't we decided to stay here anyway! It was the best decision because of the complexity of the room, we didn't make it out but it was a great day out on this rainy afternoon! After a long drive from Whittier, AK to Anchorage AK, me and 3 of my travel buddies were trying to find things to do because we couldn't be at our Airbnb until 4pm. We had like 6 hours to kill before that. One of my friends suggested an escape room. There were 4 but only 1 was open at 11. We chose the open one. We walked in and were greeted with the most amazing positive human ever who was the owner. He explained everything and even let us start 10 minutes early. The set up was amazing and all homemade. Went tonight with our group of 10 so had it to ourselves. I've been to rooms in the past but never here. What a great time. There is only 1 theme right now so once you go you probably aren't going to go again so that's a bummer. But they're adding a room this summer. There are puzzles in 3 rooms to solve. There's only a 30% success rate but WE DID IT with only 2 minutes to spare. Definitely worth going if you get a chance. read more

We did both rooms one after the other, wow, it was super brain stimulation and when we all got outside we all did a huge sigh and had to get our bearings. Although both rooms were very fun and well put together, I don't know that I would recommend doing both rooms one right after the other. It was just a lot all at once! Everything about this experience was amazing. We took my 16 year old daughter and three of her friends and they all loved it. The game was challenging but also so rewarding when they accomplished getting out of the room in under an hour. We did the Conjured Kingdom room and it was cleverly done. The owner also took the time to talk with the girls about how the rooms were made. My daughter is very interested in engineering so being able to see behind the curtain (so to speak) was valuable. Excellent escape room- Raven's Eye We made Raven's Eye our 263rd escape rooms - we have played rooms in many other cities in the USA and throughout the world. The designer of the room has done an excellent job in creating a fun escape room experience. It is a big environment with lots to explore. Our Game Master Morgan told us that a new room is in development - we will certainly check it out if we are ever in Anchorage again. Very conveniently located downtown! No spoilers in this review. The game starts with a set-up video - a lot of attention went into the video but we all thought it went on way too long and we started to los focus. My biggest issue is that I wish this "pre-game+ tape was more tightly edited. But the video fit into the story line and they incorporated a very good use of this video though out the room as an immersive (I.e. non-puzzle) element...and we always appreciate the extra touches to make the experience more immersive. The room had a slightly higher number of puzzle groups than the average 60-minute room. All but one of the puzzles had a clear and single answer - no guess work was necessary. There was one early puzzle (we talked to Morgan about this) that had 2 viable solutions...when the first one did not work we tried the second one and moved on. In general we do not like rooms that rely heavily on scavenging items in difficult-to-find places throughout the room; this room was low on the scavenger requirements - meaning it is more focused on the puzzles. The lighting in the room was functional and did not present challenges. There are also non-linear elements allowing multiple puzzle solves to happen simultaneously at some points in the progression. The room is moderately challenging - our experienced group of three escaped with 14 minutes left...but we believe that this is a good room for all levels. There was even one puzzle construction which we had not seen before - which after working over 2,500 puzzles is unusual and was fun! Overall we recommend the room for its fun factor, lack of needless busy work, low scavenging and clear puzzles. read more
