Whats not to love about this place... other than the price, which isn't their fault. Always, always super friendly staff. My only negative comment is the lack of space to sit down and just relax. As party of their loyalty program I received a free ice cream for my birthday. No where on the app or the customer loyalty promo does it say it's not accepted in Alaska. They also have great selection of ice cream cakes in the freezer or can make one just for you. These artists are very skilled in blending custom ice cream treats as well as have menus items to choose from for the less adventurous. I thought this place was okay. I always liked cold stone but thought it was over priced. Here you can get unlimited toppings without paying for each one. They have amazing different types of waffle cones with all different things around the edges. They were super busy when we were there which would lead me to believe they are popular. I had the cotton candy ice cream, my wish was that it was a sorbet and not ice cream. I do not like ice cream and at basken and robins their cotton candy does not have an ice cream base. First time- very busy- we were greeted when we walked in by Chris who also helped us out with our cups of scoops. Chris was super friendly, informative and energetic. The ice cream looked appealing and was nice and fresh. Rather spendy though, and we were bummed about that. I recommend the strawberry ice cream since it was delicious. The chocolate could have been more chocolaty but all in all, a pleasant experience. I would have clicked in 5 stars if it weren't for the price. The first time we visited the service and ice cream were fantastic (five stars), last night however was different. The ice cream was still very good but because of the way they serve (one staff person per group) my wife's was half melted and half gone before I was even able to pay much less start eating. Btw, we only had three ppl in our group. In addition, they ran out of the sweet cream flavor. I think if the staff rotated through groups instead of the current way it would better. So, the lesson to be learned is, if you go to this Marble Slab, have each member of the party order/pay separately.
