First off this place is so trendy and just beautifully decorated and the total vibe is amazing! The service was terrific and very attentive. I wanted to try this place from the moment I moved here and im glad I did. I ordered vietmanese coffee it was strong and I enjoyed that. Pho it wasnt the best but the broth was ok. Lobster and shrimp melt that was amazing! It was soft melting. Argentine steak satay this was very tasty and I would order everytime I come here now. But there was so many other things I wanted to try but I have only 1 stomach and not much time. This place is a great place to bring a date or hang with friends it has a bar and also serve desserts! Also love the location but you will have to find parking on street and pay but thats this whole area. Worth it and coming back.

My wife remembered coming here years ago when she lived in the area and always recalled it being very good, so we decided to give it a try on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant is located downtown near the state capitol, surrounded by historic buildings. The street still has angled parking, which is a bit nostalgic compared to the usual parallel spots. We were able to find parking at the end of the block. We imagine it's much busier during the weekdays. Although the dining room wasn't crowded and we could see several open tables, we were told it would be about a 15-minute wait for our party of four. At first, we thought they might be understaffed. However, once seated, we noticed there were about six front-of-house staff working, which seemed more than adequate--perhaps the kitchen was running behind. The menu is extensive, with lots of creative options built around familiar bases. It's well put together, but almost a little too complicated. We looked it over, made our selections, and placed our order when a server came by. Throughout the meal, we had different staff members stop by, which kept things moving but also felt a little impersonal. The food did take longer than expected to arrive, but when it did, it looked great and everyone dug in right away. My one disappointment was with the French dip. I had asked for the garlic aioli on the side, but it came spread all over the sandwich mixed in with the onions and peppers. I ended up scraping it off, eating half, and leaving the rest. Overall, we really liked the building and decor. The menu is ambitious, the service was attentive though on the slow side, and the food was good--but nothing that stood out as exceptional.

I read that this is a busy place and expected a wait for a table. While it was busy, a table opened up quickly for us. The hostess as well as the server were very friendly. I got the kahlua pork sandwich. Dang, this sandwich was so good! The pork had great flavor and the Marionberry bbq sauce and the coleslaw was so good! It came with fries and they were just okay, but the sandwich made it not matter. The outside and inside of the building are super cute, I'd definitely go back again

This is a terrific soup, salad and sandwich place. I've eaten here a few times and it's always a pleasant and delicious experience. Service is friendly and attentive. The decor is fun with high ceilings, with the best tables being the window seats. Free parking in the garage a few blocks away.

Front window. Place is narrow, but beautiful. Staff are nice. We will see about the food!

Food is great. Service is alright. It is a bit spendy. The ambiance is wonderful. It's a great place downtown. Sometimes there is a line.

The Wild Pear was absolutely lovely to visit at Christmas. Beautifully decorated, great service, and I appreciated all the gluten free menu options!

Incredibly cute historic location and so much to absorb architecturally inside the buildings. The food was good, but the only item we tried that gave me goosebumps was the focaccia as an appetizer! We did have over a one hour wait to be seated. It's a very popular location and once we were seated, we were not rushed at all.

Is this worth over 30 bucks!

What a joke! I ordered a Thanksgiving dinner. They should wait until April1. I called and told the manager that she failed. I was told I am the only unhappy person out of 200 dinners. I was offered a cup of coffee - no refund. Please save your money go to Chick-fil-la or Arby's for your thanks giving dinner. Do not patronize this rip-off joint!!

Yummy wrap!

My favorite restaurant in Salem, hands down! Love the food and service! The curry soup is amazing and I always get it! Also great salads and sandwiches. Next time I'm in Salem, I will be stopping! Highly recommend!!

We were doing through and needed to grab lunch and wild pear came up on our search! Boy are we glad to have stopped!!! The chicken salad is a must have! So delicious. I also like that they offer a wide range of side options (with an up charge) as I don't always want French fries. My husband did get the fries and those were a pass. The dessert looked beautiful. We had a strawberry lemon cake and that was the saddest part of the lunch. The cake was soaked in milk? Like tres leches, but not because it was not good and not listed as being soaked. We will be back!

The gluten free BLT with house chips

Gluten free review: We found this little spot that you can dine outside. They had some gluten free options. I got the Wild Pear Burger with fries and my daughter got the BLT with house made chips. There were some issues with service. We arrived at 12:55 waited 10 minutes to be seated, not too bad. It was busy. We sat outside and continued to watch 2 families who came after us get their food eat and leave. We finally received our food at 2:00 pm. When I got my burger I had a bad feeling and asked again if it were gluten free. She asked and had to take it back to the kitchen to change the bun. Our waters were filled while we waited but no mention of here our food was until we asked. My burger was a 3 out of 5 stars. It was okay. Kind of dry and meaty tasting. I asked for no aïoli, and it came with aïoli at this point I was just going to live with it. The sweet potato fries were delicious I must say. My daughter says her BLT sandwich, placed in a gluten-free burger bun was four out of five stars. The chips looked good but tasted kind of burnt. We are chip lovers. I would try to eat here again because they do have a few options for gluten free but the service left a bad taste in my mouth.

Amazing decor in this place, and friendly service too. When you walk in there are a series of menus…read moreto your right, and the same menus are up at the counter as well. You choose what you want and order at the counter and they give you a number. Then they'll bring it to your table. I enjoyed the rice bowl. The tofu seemed to be fried and the sauce on it was spicy. The miso Moon coffee thankfully did not taste like miso, lol. My friend had an espresso and said it was terrible, very sour. Everyone else at our table seemed to enjoy our food, there were a lot of burgers and fries being ordered at the group. They have my daughter's favorite sort of salad, with blue cheese and steak. Sadly, they were out of salmon the day we visited. Would definitely consider coming back if I'm in Salem again.

This is an update review. Let me be very clear: I like this place. HOWEVER…read more.. the steak is horrifically terrible. I mean, it's worse than any steak I have ever had; even my grandma's. And that's saying a lot. You do not want to know of the torture. Suggestions: 1st: If you want to have a steak on the menu, at least serve the cut that is on the menu. 2nd: if you're worried about food cost, do something pounded, and marinated, OR do a small trimmed cut that is excellent quality, and serve it with a lot of mash and veg, and that bordelaise sauce (which wasn't bad). 3rd: Meatloaf
