I tried to come back TWICE, Jahaira came highly recommended my first hair cut was pretty good, but my second one was unfixable. I am writing this review as a new client. I had my roots touched up and the color that was picked was fine. I noticed when I got home I had color on my forehead that had not been removed by the stylist. As far as my blowout and style even after explaining what I wanted I had to get out my curling iron and blow dryer to touch up at home. Also, my hair at the nape of neck and within the hair was gummy with whatever product was used. I had to shampoo at home the very next day. Beware of this salon-I asked the stylist for highlights and she colored my entire head of hair so now I have to have my roots colored every 4-6 weeks or go through an expensive time consuming process called weaving. My hair is very thick so this process will take probably one year and with a cost of over $1200. I called the salon about this but they were very nasty and defensive about the entire situation. They definitely have a very poor public relations policy. read more

BUYER BEWARE: About 3 months ago I experienced the wrath of an angry stylist at this salon, who had an argument with the person before me and viciously took it out on my hair. It traumatized me to the point that it has taken me this long to post a review. I didn't take a photo of the assault because I was so freaked out at what he did. But as a client who's had to live with hair butchery that forced me to go 'Sinead O'Connor' in order to correct the 'cut', I now want to warn others about Christopher. I have never in my life experienced such vicious incompetence in a haircut. In some parts of the 'cut' he almost went into the scalp (behind the ears) and even started cutting AT THE ROOT of the hair shaft ON TOP OF MY HEAD the whole time repeating-over and over "Dont be scared" as he thinned out my hair at the root. I had 3 previous cuts with this person and they were not butchery. But on this ocasión I was assaulted by a moody unprofessional who returned my money (he knows what he did) but not the stress and embarrassment of cutting my hair so short and so badly it made me look like a cancer patient. Now I worry that he has my credit card info but if he does anything shady, he'll be sorry he ever tried. Wild Orchid is responsible for their employees. So backatcha buddy. read more

First of all, let me begin by stating I am the most difficult client any poor hairdresser could have because I never know what I'm looking for. I'm one of those ladies who wants a miracle even though I have terribly thin hair caused by an auto-immune disease. I have been seeing Yahaira for over four years now and love her. When I started coming to the salon, I was a redhead and then I wanted to go white so I wouldn't have an outgrowth of grey. Then I wanted to be blonde and then red again and now I'm going back to brown. It's a wonder I have any hair left and I can't believe Yahaira has put up with me and makes sure she isn't damaging my hair. I have wanted her to do certain things to my hair, even though I did not have an appointment that allowed the time for it, she has always made it work. She is also very diligent about always checking the bald patches from my disease and uses products that won't bother my scalp. She is always a little piece of sunshine every time I come in...which is every two to three weeks because I hate to see any outgrowth at ALL! This hair salon is the best salon I have ever been to, and I have been to many. I started going in January with very damaged hair from bleaching it and from my last stylist not doing it correctly. I made an appointment with Allie and I was very nervous at first because I have had many people mess up my hair. However, Allie was very talented in the way she did my hair. My ends were so frayed and damaged, and she was so careful with them. She would dye my head of hair and leave my ends out and save them for last so they did not fall out. I have been more than impressed after each time at this salon with Allie. The most recent time I went, I wanted to go blonder and of course that is what she did but she also convinced me to get a haircut and put some layers in my hair. I was hesitant at first but I am so happy I did it. My hair has never looked as healthy and I couldn't thank Allie enough. I had never gotten my hair colored and being my first time, Yahaira, was super patient and kind! A wonderful person both inside & out! Yahaira Larson is a miracle worker! This review is overdue by a few weeks, but I felt compelled to get this out there so people would know about the amazing job she did on my locks!
