I've already exhausted so much energy going back-and-forth pleading with the Salon to get even a partial refund for a $440 service that I received that left me with unevenly distributed chunky highlights, a band around my crown that strongly accentuates the separation from the end of the root melt to the beginning of the highlights. The request was for undetectable, seamless, low maintenance pops of light To make my overall hair appear to reflect my natural base, which is a level 5/6. It's convenient that when I was asked what my budget was, that was what turned out to be the exact cost of the service plus a $70 haircut. There were also comments made that if I were to have spent more money, there were better odds that I could've achieved the result I was desiring which I found disrespectful. The first image was my hair prior to my appointment. The second image was the inspiration. The rest are what remain after going in for 'touch up.' I think it is blatantly obvious what the issue is far from just a 'tone' discrepancy. The Salon refuses to refund me and it's easy to fathom that I would not be comfortable getting seen for the third time to fix what has been broken. Extremely discouraging when I value the integrity of my hair more than anything else and how multiple individuals are not willing to make it right. I will never recommend this Salon to anyone in this city. I hate when smart people pretend to not see the issue at hand. read more

After chemotherapy for breast cancer I was bald! My kids said I looked younger bald, without my beautiful long white hair. As hair began to grow in, I realized I looked good in short hair, and received complements. This salon offers two free detail trims(10-15 minutes) for people In the same position I was, after medical hair loss. What did I have to lose? I stayed with KAYCEE, going on 6 months now, as she is highly skilled, genuinely kind and fun to talk to. My children tell me I look at least 20 years younger now, than I did with long hair. And... I get a free detail appt between regular appointments. The front desk ladies are welcoming, the salon is attractive, and I enjoy my appointments there. Their "Eufora" Putty I bought for styling my short hair makes it very fast and easy to fix and get out the door. 10 stars! read more

I just got my hat cut here and they don't style it all. All they did was blow dry it and it wasn't even dry all the When they sent me on the way. For 58$ pre tip I would expect my hair to be styled LET alone DRY when I'm leaving. read more

I was looking for a hair dresser closer to home and I hit the jackpot at this salon. I wasn't sure about the cut when I left the salon, but I fell in love with it after practicing with it a couple of days! read more

I did not enjoy going to this Salon. I had color put in, highlights/lowlights. I went many times but was left with A LOT of roots showing. This I was told could not be helped (after). It was very expensive. I changed Salons and they were able to achieve this look (no roots) in one visit. I do not believe they are good with natural hair colors. From what I observed they do blues, reds, purples, and unnatural colors more so. The ladies at the front desk were always very nice and professional. read more

I just moved to Tucson and was looking for a new place for a pedicure. I was impressed with the reviews and made an appointment...I was not disappointed! Today I received a pedicure from Emilie, and in short, she is amazing. She is so personable I was instantly comfortable, and as a first time patron, she explained all the options for each aspect of the procedure. Normally I hate conversation at the salon, but she was a delight to talk to, and gave me some good information for the Tucson area. Overall, this shop has such a great vibe, and everyone seems to caring and engaged that I will be back for every possible service. read more

Katrina was amazing and gave me a great cut and style. Great customer service and easy online booking.

First time having my hair cut in 3 years, and the first time going to this salon. My husband scheduled an appointment for me as a birthday gift. I arrived to a very welcoming environment and a very pleasant experience. I was scheduled with Lauren, who was extremely knowledgeable and put me at ease immediately. We talked about what I wanted, and she listened intently and made suggestions, and really understood my needs. I typically have my hair thinned out a lot since it is very thick and sometimes unmanageable. This is the first time in about 20 years that I didn't have to ask for my hair to be thinned more because it hadn't been thinned enough. It has been a few days since my appointment, and I am just as pleased with it today as I was leaving the salon that day. I would absolutely recommend not only Lauren but the salon as well. read more

Eric is made of magic and glitter. I can't say enough amazing things about him! But it isn't just Eric, everyone at the salon was kind and supportive and just overall wonderful. I was REALLY nervous about having my platinum touched up because I have had numerous bad experiences at other salons. Eric had to talk me into taking my hat off and I was full blown prepared to go "nevermind, I'm good." and run out the door with my hideous brassy regrowth. But oh no, that sweet wizard of hair magic put me at ease immediately and made me laugh the entire service. After my color was done he showed me around the salon and I left feeling more gorgeous than I have in a long time. Everyone complimented me and were genuinely kind. So not only did he give me gorgeous hair, but he made me FEEL gorgeous. And let's be real honest, walking in feeling like a 3 and walking out feeling like a 10 is an amazing thing. Eric, my darling, you did so much more for me than a color service. I want to have my hair done every day just so I can hang out with you. read more

My first time at Salon De Nouveau and I am sold! I was in town visiting my boyfriend's family and needed to stop in for some highlights. Danielle was absolutely amazing! She did a combo of regular highlights and balayage and the effect was astounding. My hair has never looked better, even after paying twice the price for highlights in Seattle, so CHECK HER OUT! The salon is super professional and I even got a new client gift bag after my appointment! They really know how to make you feel special here, and i left feeling rejuvenated and beautiful! read more

Due to extreme stress, I had lost a good portion of my hair. Bald spots. Yuk. I found this salon via Yelp. From calling to schedule an appointment to everyone I met, I felt welcomed and wanted. When I walked in, frankly, I looked like crud. However, Sarah patiently listened, made suggestions and went to work. Simply amazing the magic she performed! I just couldn't even happier! Thank you, Sarah! read more

I've been so busy that I haven't been able to get my hair done. I really wanted to darken my hair up and get rid of the balayage that I had. My friends "urged" (OK...more like heavily insisted) that I use their hair stylist, Katie. I mean, if 5 different friends are recommending the same person then that's when you listen right? ;) Katie was wonderful! She's very friendly and really easy to talk to; my hair came out exactly how I wanted it. I was so glad that my hair process was a 2-step process because it entailed my hair getting washed twice, and it felt so relaxing! The pricing is decent and I received a welcome bag just for being a first time client. TIP: Try to not bring kids/significant others! Unfortunately, they don't have additional chairs or space in the back area to accommodate them. Plus, it'll probably be more relaxing not having to worry about them. I will gladly return to Katie and Salon Nouveau! read more

Best Salon experience I have ever had! I don't go to salons; I did not know what to expect. Everyone was welcoming and helpful, the solon is chic but cozy, and the stylist, Sarah, was amazing. She gave me a consult a week before and then transformed my gray hair via toner treatment and an amazing cut into a beautiful easy-care shoulder-length look far better than I had dreamed. I love catching a glimpse of myself in the mirror now! And so reasonable I can go back as often as I like. Everyone who sees my hair wants to know where I go, so I hope this great salon gets the recognition it deserves. read more

This place is amazing. I went for a facial to treat myself and absolutely loved my experience! My esthetician's voice was very soothing, she told me exactly what she was doing and why during the entire treatment, and at the end of my appointment recommended great skincare to me that would address my skin concerns. Before I left, the receptionist gave me a little gift back with a chocolate bar which was really nice! I tried to avoid touching my skin in the car on the drive home but it was hard not to... my face had never felt so soft! When I got home and looked in the mirror my face was pretty red and I was absolutely mortified. I thought facials were supposed to help!? It wasn't until a few days later that I really noticed any visible improvement in my skin. As much as I loved it, I won't be returning for a monthly treatment. It's out of my price range, so maybe this will just have to be a once a year treat. If you do have the money to burn, I highly recommend this salon. The money is worth burning! read more

One of the best in Tucson! Katie was my expert stylist color guru. She truly is amazing. She has left the Salon due to a change in location. So made an appointment with someone else, that Katie suggested. Hair cut, actually a trim and PARTIAL highlights. Both times I was charged for full highlights! My whole head was not covered with foils? After the second appointment again being charged for full highlights, I left with the feeling of being taken advantage of. The stylist was also always compensated with a 20 % gratuity. I find this practice highly unethical without consulting the customer. Once is ok, however a reoccurrence of this is in my estimation is not the way to treat a Good customer. So now I'm in search for another Katie. read more

I have been going to Salon de Nouveau for years and have had only pleasant experiences for waxing with Alyssa. The other experiences not so much. The haircuts - two of the worst hair cuts ever! The first time, they literally cut all of my hair off. I asked for short layers, but to keep the overall length. I wore glasses at the time (if you met me pre-lasik, you know what my coke bottle bottoms looked like) and I could not see what the stylist was doing until she was like ok put your glasses on! Tada! I earned the nickname baldylocks. My shoulder length hair was not a pixie cut and there was nothing I could do about it. My hair grows really slow so this was an extremely traumatic experience. The next time was three years later, I saw a more experienced stylist who was highly recommended and honestly she made me feel so uncomfortable. She was silent the entire time. No conversation, she tugged at my hair and I had a pounding headache by the time I left. It was terrible. The mani/pedi This was more of a cuticle push with polish. There was no trimming and the manicurist was just not pleasant. It was over priced for what I received. One time was more than enough. Why did I keep going back? No, I'm not a masochist, I just couldn't understand how a place that employed my beloved aesthetician could have some many employees who were just sub par. Alyssa was this salons best kept secret-- in a sense. She wasn't a secret, but it was a pleasant surprise to any one I referred. Even those who had visiting the salon before, but never seen her for a service. She was always so nice, happy and eager to make you happy and your skin beautiful. She able to my tame my unsightly super thick, but sparse brows and make them pretty. I referred so many friends and family members to her and every single one of them was pleased. I recently called to make one of four random appointments per year and earned that she recently moved to M Salon. I'm sorry, but she was the reason I kept coming back and tried other services. I must say that it is time bid Salon Nouveau adieu for services. They do, however, sell Bumble and Bumble products, so I may see them a time or two in the future. Maybe you will have better luck, if you do, please share! read more

I had to find a place that will help me get my hair graduation ready! After browsing many and many options around Tucson I choose this salon and my instincts were right. Susana was my stylist and if I was a local I'll make sure I am her client. The consultation was through. Susana asked me questions I never was asked before: "do you like loose or tight curls?" "how long does your curl usually hold?" And what she did with my hair was a never-seen before; she curled each single strand-pin it up and when all "rows" are complete- she unpin each curl one by one while sprinkling a volumizer powder (or something!) then sprayed it and carefully opened the curl which resulted in a very voluminous curls. It lasted until next day! I mean I graduated then did some bar hopping and slept- next day my hair was still in exact state without looking too firm! 10 out of 5 stars! Also- the atmosphere of salon is beautiful, warm; and so inviting! Will come again whenever I visit! read more

So, all I got there was mani/pedi. I thought for the price I paid, I was getting great service. The nails are not well polished and it took me forever to let my nails grow to the point of filing them square and the lady rounded them up. You can see clear faults on the polish and she took 2 hrs to get mani/pedi done. She talked a lot and talked with her hands, so she couldn't work and talk at the same time. The place is nice and the people are friendly. Stick to the vietnamese near your house!!! read more

Waxing services review only. My eyebrows look exactly like I wanted them to. On top of this, this was the least painful waxing experience I have ever had. Ever. When Caela started doing her thing, I was skeptical that hair was actually being removed. I came here for a haircut with Katie... now, I hadn't gotten my hair cut in over a year (and it showed). I sat down with Katie, asked her to make me look good but to keep it low-maintenance, and goodness gracious did she deliver. By the time I left, not only did my hair look great, I was relaxed and had thoroughly enjoyed my entire time. Katie knows how to keep the conversation going and truly made me feel at home. I cannot attest to the rest of the facilities, but the entire place was clean, relaxing, and friendly. In short (teehee), I'll make sure to get my hair cut more than once a year just so I can go back to this lovely little paradise. read more

I see Katie at Salon Nouveau. I've lived in big cities...and I truly believe she's the best hairstylist I've ever had! She's fantastic at color (my hair has red in it so it's very easy to either make it brassy orange or bleach it to platinum which always makes me anxious about trying out new stylists), giving cuts that are stylish plus grow out beautifully. Personally, she's also the friendliest and sweetest person, but HONEST which means she won't steer you into something that wouldn't be flattering on you. read more

I too highly recommend Alyssa and this salon as a whole. The prices here are absolutely some of the best prices for the quality of services you receive here. Had a consultation with Susana and it was such a terrible experience. I understand that me wanting black to white hair is difficult, but she acted like I was such an inconvenience to her. She kept saying "I don't know" and not willing to even try to get my hair to look the way that I want it to. It was humiliating sitting in her chair and having her comb through my hair like it was a disgusting piece of trash. I am not concerned about the price and not concerned about how long the process would take and she continued to put a wall up and basically refused to do it for me. Immediately after, I made a consultation with another stylist in the area who actually was open and willing to work with me. Best of luck Susana with that terrible attitude!! For thick wavy hair or cuts that require precision attention to detail, Tracy is the best. I've done different versions of the "Betty Paige" arc bangs over the years and she has always taken the time to make sure they are -perfect- which is no easy feat. I also don't have easy hair to deal with...thick with a wave to it. Tracy always gives a beautiful cut. I've had a blow out once by her which she added a little bit of curl back in after and I have never seen my hair look better. She is a sure bet for a good hair cut on top of being just a fun person to talk to for an hour. The salon itself has plenty of parking, comfortable lobby and very competent front desk staff. read more

I came in here for a facial. I have been getting black heads on my face and decided it was time to treat myself. I came in not knowing exactly what to expect. My facial was 45 minutes and it was so perfect. She also massaged my neck, shoulders, and face. It was really relaxing. Marcela was my aesthetician and she did an amazing job. Was going to give 2 stars but looked at my hair & now I'm mad again......I went in with the light lavender photo for reference & had, unfortunately, a short time frame for them to accommodate. They insisted that they could produce the image requested as well as work with my timeframe. When I went in at 3:15pm, Susana did my double highlights and color. I was given the light "lilac" color that was barely tinted & looked more pink than lavender. I finished the appointment around 8-8:30pm & was FUMING so instead of going home pissed & posting a bad review, I decided to go back in & ask the manager what the heck happened & if they could fix it & ended up in the salon until 10pm & walked out with the final, VERY DARK version of what I was promised. Again, they were so kind & they did "their best" to fix it but overall if you're doing crazy colors, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!! That's a huge $270 down the drain for me to have to fix it in about 1-2 weeks. Even highlights/root touch ups are done half hearted. Always reference the negative ratings with the good so you're not blind sighted. read more
