I have been coming here for several years, and have had nothing but positive experiences. Both Maria and Sarah have cut and colored my hair and both are AMAZING! They are both fun, friendly, positive and extremely talented. 10/10 recommend! read more

Updating my review- still a 5 star service. I had so much fun with Maria today creating an "intro to shag" cut. I love it!! read more

First visit. Had low lights put in. I told Lisa to go darker for contrast but she wouldn't. Color she used just made it look drab! She said would redo no charge. I felt then I needed hi lights to get out drab she caused. When went back she sid would be 10.00 per hilight!! So 6 would be 60.00, 8 would be 80.00, etc. I had already spent $172.00 for first time!! And she had said redo no charge!!!! Did not care about making me happy or satisfied!!!!! I left and said I would never ho back!!!! Not very customer oriented!!!!! read more

I have been going to Beauty Is for several years and it's an amazing Salon . Lydia always highlights my hair and trims it ! It always looks fabulous, I get so many compliments! The salon has such a warm atmosphere and very caring staff! Like a hidden gem located in Civano. read more

Well Jim I was waiting for your snarky response.... Totally untrue !! I was never anything but polite and gracious to all staff and barely had any interaction with other patrons and a good tipper. I rest my case! This is total craziness... but I would definitely meet with Melissa and Maria and try to find out what's going on here. I am very confused...None of your accusations were ever conveyed to me. We always had a pleasant, cordial appointment. (Until I was out of commission with Covid) No one wants all this drama over a phone call! read more

What is there to say? Paul Mitchell? Great music? Great energy! Been going to Sarah k for roughly 4-5 years now and she never disappoints! They do all services for men women and children. Top of the line products, supplies, and cosmetologist. I received a fade with a beard trim and shampoo. I'm a ride it die for them and Sarah! read more

I initially went to Beauty Is to maintain my copper/ginger/red head, but after 1.5 years of continuous maintenance I was excited to return to a more natural color. Shout-out to stylist Kelcie for executing my hair transformation. I am beyond satisfied with the service and results and will continue to visit Beauty Is for future hair needs. read more

I needed a root touch up pre-wedding, and my regular stylist could not squeeze me in... my standing appointment with her was post wedding which was a big oversight on my part BUT had that not happened I would not have found this gem of a salon. Tucked away in Civano, the salon is modern, cool and inviting. I loved that I was able to make my appointment online while on a plane to Denver. The owner called and confirmed, then I got a subsequent email and text which was also nice. I was booked with Maria who was not just a quality sweet human but a wonderful colorist/stylist. She did a great job on my color touch up, my hair looks amazing. She gave me this shampoo that was life altering when we were rinsing the color out. If I did not love my regular stylist so much I would ditch her just to have Maria color and shampoo my hair. My whole experience here is wonderful. Price seemed to be on point, maybe a smidge more expensive than what I am used to paying. The only downfall for me personally, is my regular stylist has me spoiled with amazing 10 minute color so I am in/out. I do not like sitting still for long periods of time (yeah and two hours for color and style feels long for me), I get antsy. But, Maria was a jewel so it made the time go by fast. read more

I went in today to get my dead ends trimmed. The process was so fast and the results were stunning! My hair feels so smooth and lightweight! As soon as I walked in I was offered a water. Along with great customer service the shop itself was also so clean! Would 100% recommend to others. read more

Good salon. Friendly, offering coffee or water when you arrive. Never had a bad cut or service.

And now the business owner himself has replied. Clearly he wasn't able to make a good "joke". Maybe stick to being a subpar small business owner instead of working on your stand up routine. read more

Im just saying that Sara is by far the coolest most awesomest person. I could literally sit there and talk to her forever. Her skills as a hair stylist and cutter are unsurpassed. The likelihood of her winning a Nobel peace prize for her dedication to her work and attention to detail is high. I will keep coming to this business and getting my hair cut by her until I'm old, wrinkly, and suffer from Alzheimer's. In all seriousness she the best. Hands down, the greatest of all time. read more

LOVE this salon and the vibe they have here is so comfortable. Cassie did my hair and it was FANTASTIC! She is great and you can tell she loves what she does. I also looove the product they sell definitely returning! read more

I'm not one to usually leave reviews but I recently had my hair cut by one of the hair stylists here, Sarah K, and she butchered my whole head with random sort choppy layers. Looks like a 5 year old got a hold of some scissors. Now I'm having to pay money to have it fixed and drive hours to see my old hair dresser. This was not my first bad experience here. Wish they hired some experienced hairstylists. Should of just gone to sports clips. So disappointed. read more

I had been growing my hair out for a year. Needed an even trim. Emma was my stylist, first time. Very personable n knowledgeable. Trimmed ends off even and cut a slight angle on front. Looks great! I've been going to Beauty Is for several years. Always had a good experience. read more

Today I got my hair done by Yvanna, and she was absolutely fabulous! I had long hair that went down below my bum and it is relatively thick. I haven't gotten it cut for a while since I didn't have time. Yvanna fixed my birds nest (I'm serious) and made it so light and beautiful! She cut a few inches in length and then did lots of layers throughout and framed my face. I feel so much better. Come see her, she's really awesome. The salon itself is small but it is very cute and charming! They use all Paul Mitchell products. I'll definitely be back to see Yvanna! read more

The male owner of this place should hide somewhere away from customers. An over-blown ego, no tact and questionable social skills are not what customers want in a business that deals with personal care. Let him clean the restrooms- probably won't do much damage there. read more

Really nice place. I was able to snag an opening 15 mins from when I called. I had long hair that I needed to save. Janine took her time to separate out pieces that were the same length and cut out 10 bundles. After that, she cut out a really nice shape and double checked it all over to make sure it was even and looked nice when styled. She even went back when she saw a tiny piece that needed thinning out. I always appreciate that because those are the pieces that bug me. I had to bring my two kids with me. Everyone was very nice to them as well. Each of them got a lollipop when we left. I really liked this salon. I don't often pamper myself but this was totally worth it to me. My wash, cut and style was $50. A great deal for all the work she put into making me look nice. Janine even brought out a little Thank-You card with some product samples for me. I've already scheduled my next appointment. read more

I recently moved back to Tucson and have had a terrible time finding a stylist that can work with my thin hair and is in a convenient location. I took a chance on Beauty Is and I will never go anywhere else again. Carmella gave me a gorgeous ombré and listened to me when I told her what I wanted in a cut. She is also sweet and personable so it made the 2 hours it took to get my hair lookin' good a absolutely pleasure! They also have an awesome points system that lets you earn free services! SCORE! Check them out and ask for Carmella (I'm sure all the other stylists are equally good). You won't be sorry! read more

LOVE this salon! Cassie is awesome! I just moved here from California. Moving has it's own stress but for us ladies...finding a new hair place is scary!! I am so relieved and grateful that I chose to go to this salon. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming like a hair salon you see in the movies. All the clients were smiling and laughing while getting their hair done and I could tell this place was special. Cassie was a dream come true for my hair! :-) she really helped me feel at ease and did a fabulous job with my color. I know that this will be without a doubt my go to salon from now on. I highly recommend coming here. You won't regret it! :-) read more

After 9 years in Tucson, I've finally found my hair salon. I have been to several others throughout the years, but none have ever had me certain I would come back. From the moment you walk in, you're treated with amazing hospitality. Jim (I believe that's his name) is so friendly and makes sure you are taken care of (they offer ice cold water, coffee and tea I believe). My hair stylist was Cassie and Cassie is who I will continue to see (although watching the other girls with their clients, I feel like you'd be in good hands with any of them). She was very friendly. She listened to what I wanted. She helped with suggestions. Her work is also obviously that of a professional. I wanted subtle layering and subtle coloring (1 shade darker than my hair and 1 shade lighter for some dimension). She was very meticulous and you can't even tell the slight color variations in my hair aren't natural. The price point was also amazing. I have definitely paid more for less time of work and less quality of work. Beauty Is also offers a really great rewards program with a point system, something not many other quality salons offer. I will absolutely coming back. I could not highly recommend Beauty Is enough. read more

I am so happy I found this beauty salon. Everyone is very friendly and makes me feel welcomed. I have had several appointments here with Cassie. I want to start off by saying I used to love this salon. There was a gal who used to do such a wonderful job, she no longer works there since she became pregnant, and stayed home to care for her kids. Ever since she left I haven't had good experiences since. It's not that often that I've gone to this salon. The last experience wasn't good at all. I scheduled an appointment with Jim. He seemed pushy and rude even with setting up the appointment. I ended up missing this appointment which was my fault. It was an honest mistake. I called back in to reschedule and apologize for missing it. Jim took my call and gave me the 3rd degree for missing the appointment. He made me feel really bad for his hair stylist who apparently waited around "all day" for an appointment which was scheduled for the afternoon at 6pm as matter of fact. I wasn't impressed. He claimed to not have my phone number which I did give to him when scheduling the first appointment. It's on them to update that since it has changed since then. He reluctantly rescheduled for the same day, which was for 615pm. I showed to this appointment at 530pm the gal named Maria was with a customer, understandably. When 615pm came around she said she was running behind, I am pretty understanding, she said it would be another 15 minutes, I ended up waiting an additional 30 minutes. She didn't communicate after that 30 minutes has passed. She didn't look anywhere near done with her customer. I was didn't want to leave, I didn't have much of a choice, I have a life as well. The experience wasn't pleasant, and I don't have time for nonsense. I understand things happen. You'd think these people would at least communicate a little better. Not much of a loss other than my time and gas. I drive from Sierra Vista in search of good service and people. I am generous when it comes to tips. Hopefully it serves as a learning experience, no one is exempt from learning. Jim, you need to watch how you talk to people, especially you being the owner of this establishment. You'd think you'd know better. Customer service doesn't tolerate that kind of approach, not even from a manager. You want people to come back, that's not how you approach them. Jim called back and apologized and corrected it right away. I set up another appointment the following day. It was a nice experience. Will update my follow up after the appointment. Follow up, appointment went very well. I actually showed up an hour early, and they were able to take me in. Alyssa was wonderful, and did a great job on my hair. I'm pretty happy with my overall experience. A negative can always be turned into a positive. Thanks again. read more
