Been here a few times and let me tell you the issues. Despite asking for something very specific, you'll end up with what the stylist wants to give you. So for example you might say, I'm really tired of layers, stylist says they understand, and proceed to cut layers anyway. There's certainly a role for stylists to save you from bad choices (Save Britney!) but if a customer clearly says they *don't* want something, you should probably not give them the thing. You'll get the inevitable push to buy products, and I've wasted enough money on lousy products like a tiny $20 jar of Italian conditioner that did nothing. The last time I went an apprentice did a good chunk of the work which I wasn't asked about ahead of time and it made me really uncomfortable. I paid the experienced stylist rate to have a student/new stylist get some experience. Let me repeat because I'm not sure I'm being clear on how this went down - I made an appointment with a specific stylist and the apprentice jumped in applying color too. Nope, not just someone helping shampoo. I have this gigantic chunk of a highlight on that side that looks worse than a home job. It looks like a skunk streak. I'm pissed. So, yeah, hard pass. And during the COVID-19 pandemic they sent emails to their clients saying they would stay open until the government forced them to close. Like... super proud they were endangering lives for the sake of vanity. They've sought to suppress negative reviews but I'll just keep telling my story. I've spent my last dollar here. read more

Lack of business INTEGRITY...After reading a previous review, I can concur that it's infuriating when a stylist cuts/colors your hair the way they want not what you've discussed, wanted or had service for previously. The grow out from the abysmal cut & color is going to take months to correct. Being a successful business owner for many years my main issue and complaint is after calling the business and speaking to the owner Jenny the only compensation she offered me was to place my trust in a random stylist or to have a convo with the stylist who hacked my hair. After Jenny's request to send her photos of my hair there was radio silence. She never responded back to me. Where is your integrity? Where's your sense of business ethics? Why would you ignore a customer's attempt at communication? The stylist failed and the business owner failed, period. read more

Trouvaille means a lucky find in French and the salon sure lives up to its name! I've probably walked by tons of times from Trader Joe's to A Village Bakehouse and I've never seen it. I'm happy I found it by way of Instagram! I saw a post by Rubi on the Brunch Babes Facebook group. I had been wanting to redo my balyage as my most recent experience was not good. I looked through her Instagram (@_hairbyrubii) and liked what I saw. I was able to quickly make an appointment. I showed her the picture of what I was looking for and she was able to recreate the color. I am happy with the color and the blending! I've already received many compliments. I moved to Tucson a little over a year ago and it's been hard finding someone I like to cut and color my hair. After my experience today, I believe I've found the one! read more

This little salon is tucked away in the corner of the Trader Joe's shopping plaza on Magee and Oracle. It is a hidden treasure! The salon is clean and beautiful with nice chandiliers and relaxing music. The front desk staff was very friendly, asking if I'd like water or coffee and I was greeted promptly by my cosmetologist for my pedicure. The massaging chairs for the pedicure are very comfortable. I saw Leslie for my appointment and she was so sweet, friendly, and chatty. All their staff are cosmetologists so they do hair and nails which is fabulous because you can develop a nice relationship with your stylist. I'd recommend this place over any big-chain salon because I feel like you are treated very personally. read more

Coloring has always been on point which says something because my brown hair tends to get brassy. Never has gone brassy when I come here. Love my new stylist Jackie from Cali originally. She was able to consult me on what to do with my short curly thick hair and was extremely knowledgeable. She recommended great products and did a great job blowing out my hair. The cut was $45 which is perfect for my budget. Woke up on Saturday morning and decided to cut all my shoulder length hair off. Called at 8, got an appointment at 9:30 with Jennifer. She was AWESOME. After years at Intuitive Edge salon, my stylist Jeff decided to leave and start working here at Trouvaille. As soon as my husband and I walked in, we were greeted by a very pleasant gentleman at the front desk who got my husband and my information before anything else. He then immediately offered us refreshments while Jeff came around, gave each of us a hug, and took my husband back to cut his hair. Unlike Intuitive Edge, there is a specific waiting area, and it's far enough from everything else that one can easily read with minimal distraction. As always, Jeff did a great job on my hair. He also was a great conversationalist and bantered pleasantly with me, which is part of what makes him a great stylist. When my husband and I went to pay we were asked to schedule our next appointments. Because they have our numbers, there should be no problem getting a hold of us to remind us of our appointments. I normally hate getting my hair cut because of trouble with calling for appointments, but I think I could get used to getting called to remind me of my appointment. read more

This charming salon has many independent hair dressers that rent out space and do their business separately from the other salon services. I've been going to Shannon for the past two years to have my hair cut and it always looks great. The last time I went I wanted to get color as well and she teams with another hair dresser who specializes in color. I went dark red/brown and it turned out amazing. Ashley fixed my hair! It's so important to find a stylist who is not only talented but truly cares about the work they do. I didn't know just how important this was until I found Ashley. My hair was in need of some serious TLC and Ashley was the right person for the job. She was able to assess what was needed and with each cut we got closer and closer to fixing a cut gone wrong by someone else. I had shellac done about a week ago and was very dissatisfied with how it turned out. The woman who did my nails was very sweet and a pleasure to talk to, but was not a nail tech (I found this out by over hearing). My shellac appeared as if there was a week of growth and now that it has been a week, they look awful. I'm going to a different salon tomorrow to have them done properly. read more

I was recommeded by a friend to see Cordy at Trouvaille for my first haircut in a year and a half for my upcoming wedding. I was super aprehensive to get my haircut , hence the long period of time going without, because I had had a terrible experience somewhere else where they butchered my long hair with shaggy laters. Cordy reassured me that I would not have an experience like that again with her and we proceeded. I am so thankful I decided to go through with it, BEST CUT OF MY LIFE! Aside from all of this, the salon was beyond cute and I found out they do other services besides hair which I will definetly be back to try.
