Rozy is the REAL DEAL! Absolutely professional and experienced but has the best vibe. She's not for the faint of heart and her commitment to her morals and values are another HUGE plus that makes me committed to supporting her. But let's get into the hair- I met Rozy at my job and had recently been out of a stylist, and she gave me her info and assured me she could get me taken care of. I'm in a blonde+party panel era and holy cannoli Rozy blows me out of the water every time. She's communicative about her processes and steps, she checks in, and always throws something good on the TV so you're never bored while you sit. She takes the extra steps to process the hair in the BEST way, not just the fastest way. My hair health is important to me and I've been able to safely grow my hair out and keep this party going at the same time. She's introduced me to hair dreams I didn't even know were possible. Also, booking with WiLD ONE salon is so easy. The online menu is very user friendly, which matters to me. She has so many options listed and gives you every option to select and explain exactly what you want. Whether it's a cut or dye or both, Rozy at WiLD ONE is The One, full stop! read more

I recently went to Rozy for the first time for a haircut not really knowing what to expect and was so pleasantly surprised! I had sent her inspo photos before my appointment and she took those into account during our initial and very informative consultation. She really understood my hair texture (thick and wavy) and gave me many helpful pointers so that I can make the most of my look on my own. Thank you so much, Rozy! You did a great job on my hair! read more

OMFG! I feel like I found the neurospicy, punk rock, science-focused hair genius that I've been searching for my entire life. Rozy is amazing. Like this was an incredible experience for me. I'm somewhat neuro atypical myself and I feel like she was everything I wanted and needed. I hope she stays on Long Beach for the rest of her life because I found my hairdresser soulmate! We totally vibed. Check out her instagram to check out her salon space. I loved it and frankly, it looks a lot like my room at home! But I get she (and I) am not for everyone. Anyway, my hair looks unbelievable and it looks better than it has in 20 years. I will be back in 6-8 weeks and I can't recommend her highly enough if you're interested in retro and old lady looks that still comes across edgy. I did not expect this much amazingness and I feel lie I won the stylist lottery. Love you Rozy! See you soon! #clientforlife read more

I've been coming to Rozy since 2018, when I first moved to Long Beach, and I've stuck with her ever since. She's more than just a hairstylist, she's a hair coach. She's taught me how to care for my hair, how to style it, and always recommends ethical, sustainable products. She gives honest advice about cuts and color, and I fully trust her to bring my vision to life in a way that's both beautiful and healthy for my hair. Truly an expert at her craft! Not only is she wildly talented, but she's also an absolute gem of a human being. I feel so lucky to have a hairstylist I can also call a friend. She is someone who moves through life with unapologetic authenticity. She's a wild one and a REAL one. 10/10, highly recommend. She even cuts my husband's hair. We love this woman! read more

I won a gift certificate for a free haircut and visited Rozy's saloon for the first time, a very cozy and bohemian place. I had some photos of haircuts that I liked, but Rozy helped me decide what would fit me best. I really like my haircut, the hair feels lighter and I got some long curtain bangs that go curly on my natural hair. I loved the service and the atmosphere, and hope to go there again. I found Rozy through Yelp while searching for a stylist with experience in curly hair, and I'm so glad I did! She has amazing reviews, and now I see why. I'm really happy with my haircut. She gave fresh life to my grown out coarse, wavy hair. Beyond the haircut itself, sitting in her salon was such a lovely experience. The space has a fun, eclectic vibe that instantly feels welcoming and comfortable. I felt like I was over at a friend's place. It was so nice to just relax in her chair and walk out with a beautiful cut. Highly recommend! read more

I came to Rosy with a really bad previous haircut. She was able to fix it, apply lovely color, and gave me the best hair advice I have ever received. I'm low maintenance and stylists always try to get me to spend exorbitant time on my hair that I'm not willing to spend. Her advice actually fit my lifestyle. Now my hair is healthy and I'm actually enjoying it. I absolutely hate going to busy salons. Rosy's space is private with fun decor and easy parking. Her space is 45 mins from my house but absolutely worth the drive for me. She also considers the environment when purchasing products and supplies. Her prices are extremely reasonable--cheaper than other stylists I have used even though she has a lot more experience than they did . read more

I've been coming to Rozy's pretty parlor for two years now and I won't let anyone else touch my hair! Even now that I have moved away from Long Beach, I will make the drive from Santa Monica to go see her. She always gives the perfect haircuts that just seem to get better and better as the days go on and don't even get me started on her blow outs - literal perfection! Her salon suite is also such a vibe, very artfully decorated and so tailored to her brand. It's also so easy to park and the neighborhood had great restaurants in case you get hungry before, during, or after your appointment. Thank you Rozy for working your magic on my hair :) read more

Let me start by saying that I haven't had a proper hairstylist in over four years, and the only reason I stopped seeing that stylist was because I moved. Since then, I've only let one other person - aside from myself - do my hair (one time) because I don't PLAY about it. But 3+ years later, I found myself desperately needing a haircut and help understanding what was going on with my curls. Like I said, I don't play about my hair, so I took my time to research hair salons and stylists in Long Beach. In my quest for the best, I came across Rozy! All the reviews I saw were wonderful, her pricing was incredible, she's so close to me! I could instantly tell that I loved her vibe and that her studio would be a welcoming and safe space. Her studio was indeed very welcoming, she was so genuine and easy to talk to. I'm a mixed black woman with type 3-4 hair, and she was honest about her background in working with my hair type, what products she had available, but she was also so willing to learn and work with me. I felt like she was really trying to understand my hair. It was a great appointment, she gave me an amazing haircut. My curls are popping again, I've been getting compliments pretty much nonstop. Additionally, she was sooo accommodating, she checked in on me the next week and sent well wishes because I was sick. I didn't just find someone to cut my hair, I found someone to develop an ongoing relationship with who I can TRUST with my hair. Rozy, you're a fucking rockstar! read more

Her consultation was very detailed, she touched back with me multiple times while completing the haircut to make sure we were both on the same page and I was loving the direction it was going! Rozy gives a shit about the integrity of your hair , she will walk you through how to style your hair, tell you the WHY of what she's doing Wich helps folks who aren't hair savvy really be able to recreate effortless RAD styles on their own after the service time and time again. I have an insane amount of hair . I do not like brushing my hair. It's coarse, curly and real big. My haircut with Rozy was by far, hands down one of the BEST experiences I've ever had. She has such a well decorated and welcoming space. She is so knowledgeable with hair, and is able to pick up what you're putting down about what you're looking to have down with your own hair. She gave me the loveliest pixie cut, and it was restorative to my soul. That's how phenomenal this experience was. She was so thorough, took her time, and you can really tell every snip is thought out. I love how she's cutting in anticipation of how everything is going to look in a couple weeks when it's grown out a little. I just know with every ounce of me, this is going to be one of the most amazing if not the most amazing haircut I'll have had the pleasure of growing out. I haven't even mentioned the conversation, which is just as wonderful as the haircut! 100/10 I will be referring people to Rozy for their hair needs. read more

Not only do we get along super well cuz we're both weird, she always cuts my hair perfectly without taking ten thousand years to get it done. After my stylist of many years moved I floated around. I had okay haircuts but nothing exceptional. I asked my old stylist for someone who could a precision bob here in Long Beach and she recommended Rozy and I couldn't be more grateful. Not only does she do an amazing job but she thoroughly explains what's happening which eases my anxiety. Not only am I particular with my cuts she does an amazing job with color and knows how to deal with naturally very dark and thick half Asian hair. So yes, if you want someone technically skilled she's your girl..BUT there's more, she's genuinely a kind, loving and beautiful person. Her space is as inviting and warm as she is. For years I had been going to stylists that just didn't know how to cut my wavy/curly hair. Until I found Rozy at Wild One! She is a true artist and a very cool/fun person. Rozy knows hair and how to cut, dye, and take care of it. She's also an expert in color. I am a natural brunette, now dealing with graying hair but I am not quite ready to go completely gray. Rozy is working with me by adding strategically placed highlights so I don't have to get it dyed as often in order to lessen my exposure to chemicals and visits. I AM A WiLD ONE FOR LIFE! I will literally go to wherever Rozy is until the rest of my days. Anyone that has wavy, frizzy, or super curly or textured hair knows that it is a labor of LOVE to maintain and learn about. I have been in tune with how I like my curls for the last decade, and it's been a growing love recently experimenting with my curls (color, cut, bangs, products, etc.). I went to 4 different Los Angeles "curly specialists" before becoming a WiLD ONE, and I hated constantly looking like a labradoodle after a DevaCurl cut and using crummy DevaCurl products in my hair, leaving me with a cut that wasn't quite *me*. The first time I went to Rozy about 6 years ago, she said she was going to break the rules a little to fit me and I was sold. Every time I leave her chair I feel rejuvenated with a new sparked confidence and appreciation for how my curls CAN look! She knows exactly how to shape my face, keep my desired length, and still give me the voluminous, full and rounded shape of my DREAMS. Even though I already know so much about my curls, I am constantly learning new ways to defy hair gravity, maintain my healthiest hair, and style and care for these curls that they've never truly looked better or healthier. This is all helped by the fact that she only uses ethical, eco friendly, and the best quality products on your hair during her services. I always get my BOUNCE back! I have gotten more compliments on my hair in the last 5 years than I have my whole life. I am currently planning on moving to the UK and I am already planning my yearly trips back home around when I can schedule my hair appointments with her. I will follow her wherever she is, and I'm not exaggerating. If you're questioning whether or not to book, JUST DO IT. Remember this review and know that you are in GOOD, HEALING hands no matter what kind of hair you have. She's a pro through and through, and has cut, colored, and styled it all- and has the most caring and welcoming space and personality. A few friends I've recommended have already come back to me absolutely praising her work. I could go on and on but I'll stop here so you can get to booking! read more
