There's a huge front patio (this is typically where trivia takes place on Thursdays), space inside, and a rooftop with plenty of heaters to keep you warm this winter. Funnily enough, I'm not a beer drinker, but they have some cider and cocktail options that due the trick, but I've honestly had better. As for the food, I've really only ever tried their smokehouse burger, Asian-style loaded fries, and chocolate chip cookie skillet. The burger is super juicy and perfectly cooked, while the sauces and crispy bacon married it together. I've tried the Asian-style loaded fries (pictured below) twice now, and I honestly don't recommend it unless you like your char siu pork to be drenched in salt. It was nearly inedible both times. As for the chocolate chip cookie skillet, it was delicious, I practically inhaled the whole thing! The thing that honestly keeps me coming back is just the overall vibe of the place! It's always lively since it's right on the Beltline, very staff member I've encountered is so chill and great, and it's just such a fun spot to just chill out with your friends!

The bartender fellow was pretty terrible and pretty much ruined my and my friend that was with me's entire experience. We waited in line outside to order, after our turn came the little point of Sale terminal touchscreen thing(tilts and pivots) was facing us showing another customer has just finished paying and it had a green checkmark The I think he was a bartender had wandered off, didn't acknowledge us at all, and was talking to another bar tender for upwards of 5 mins, so I assumed because it was a touchscreen and was facing us it was self-service. So I hit the x on the screen to close out of the other customers transaction, and the bartender rushed over and started berating me with "what are you doing you don't touch that" and even had the audacity to ask "you didn't put anything in did you?!??" At which point we explained and placed our order with drinks took the flag with the table number to go sit down After which, the bartender came to our table and was somehow even more of an asshole, and told us that "you're supposed to wait for these diet cokes I can't bring them to you" We were both quite angry. This person is awful. I don't know why anyone would behave this way with customers. It's not acceptable and reflects quite poorly on the establishment that this person works there. We wish everyone the best but will not be returning in the future. I don't recommend anyone eat here.

The next time in 2024 when I was in the area, they were closed for a remodel. Today was the day. The beer selection was fantastic and so was the food. I got the pork sandwich with greens on top. It was delicious, but it could've not had juices leaking so much? Maybe cheese below and above the meat to try to keep some of the juices off the bun or maybe more bun toasting? The fries were amazing and I should've gotten the aolie initially, but didn't get it until I saw another table with an order. It was delicious. The service was very good. The server had good knowledge of the beers, food, and was friendly. This is one of the best beer bars in the US. The Atlanta area is fortunate to have two killer beer bars, the other being the Brick Store Pub in Decatur.

Love checking out breweries whenever I travel and this unique spot, did not disappoint…read more This brewery offers Southern-style cooking & drinks provided in a cavernous Belgium style brewpub featuring a terrace & a bookstore. Like your favorite piece of music or your most prized work of literature, the Bold Monk exists to bring comfort in your time of leisure. It's a beautifully decorated massive venue, with two full floors of service and also features a beer garden. Bold Monk is a place to simply be...to be satisfied, to be joyous, to be connected, to be well. To be yourself! We ordered some beers (note: they also offer a full bar and many cocktail options) and two appetizers (salmon dip & the bitterballen). My absolute favorite was salmon dip. My only complaint is that they didn't provide enough toast. The salmon tasted fresh, loved the texture and seasoning and it was light while also filling. Overall it was a positive experience. The price point was fare considering the offerings and quality and the service was great!

This is a Belgian-inspired brewery, restaurant, bookstore, and beer garden all under one roof. Bold Monk is located in the Upper Westside of Atlanta, near Chattahoochee Food Works and Topgolf Atlanta Midtown. There's plenty of free parking around the building and on the street (Ellsworth Industrial Blvd NW). I like the space here because there are various spaces inside and "outside" to spread out and hang out. I put "outside" in quotes because their patio is fully covered and enclosed -- good for bad weather. I had the Presence Pilsner (lager, 4.8%, 16 oz, $7). It was cold, crisp, and refreshing. I recommend it. The menu describes it as offering a "soft bready malt, delicate herbal and floral hop notes, and clean, dry finish." For dinner, I had the Salmon Dip ($16) to start and the Steak + Frites (market price) as my main. The Salmon Dip is made with house-cured salmon and tarragon aioli, and comes with thin toast triangles. The Steak + Frites is "chef's cut" (not sure which, didn't ask) and comes with Bearnaise, arugula, and Belgian frites (fries). The Bearnaise went great with both the steak and the fries. Bold Monk is known for their Belgian Frites, "The Original French Fry," which comes with a variety of sauces and in a few different styles. They also offer a variety of mussels and pizza. My buddy had one of the pizzas, "the 1838," I believe, which comes with different mushrooms, mozzarella, and house-made truffle ricotta. He seemed to enjoy it. The pizzas - the 1836, the 1899, the 1838, the 1850, and the 1862 - are all named after years that monasteries opened in Europe. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out just right. The quality of the cut was average/about what you'd expect for budget-friendly steak frites (it's no Bar Blanc in terms of cut quality). But still, that and the Salmon Dip were tasty and satisfying enough. Good service from both our server and the host/manager, who made sure my friend did not leave his jacket behind. Bold Monk opened in December 2019.

Our server, Trey, was awesome. He was attentive, friendly, and really helped make the experience smooth from start to finish. One thing I loved about Argosy is the ambiance. It can go either way--you can keep it super casual or dress it up a bit for a night out. I also noticed they have karaoke on certain nights, which I definitely plan on coming back for. We started with cocktails and ordered the Rosé Cadillac (I took a picture of the menu for details), and it was really good. As a self-proclaimed lightweight, I appreciated that it was enjoyable without being too overwhelming. For food, we split a wood-fired pizza--the "Boss Hogg"--and each got a six-piece order of lemon pepper wings. The wings were okay, but the pizza? Absolutely slammin. Looking back, I definitely should've taken some home. Overall, Argosy feels like one of those spots that works for any occasion--date night, casual hangout, or group outing. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu and bring some friends along.
