Edamame and Salmon Blossom
Angela M.

Yum!! The meal was so refreshing! I'm generally more nutritionally efficient so prioritized protein but the salad with the salmon was a nice balance! The flavors were all so perfect. I'd definitely come back to because it's really peaceful and they have calming music playing. Nice atmosphere for solo dates too if you're like me and eat out alone sometimes!

My 7 year old daughter and I walked into Wild Ginger for the first time this evening. When we sat down, she said "I give this place 5-stars. The music sounds French. It was just nice dinner music. Our server was very attentive and gave us suggestions. We enjoyed the General Tso's Chicken -Not Spicy (because even mild has a little spice). It was delicious and possibly the best General Tso's Iwe've ever eaten. We also ordered the Shrimp Tempura Roll and the Rock and Roll. I preferred the Rock and Roll. My daughter tried both rolls but didn't care for either. I'm just proud that she tried something different.

Wild Ginger is one of the better rated Asian restaurants on the west side of Columbus, so we gave it a try for lunch when we were in the area. They have a huge menu, including lunch specials from 11am-3pm Monday through Saturday. I tried the lunch portion of the wok-glazed ginger sauce with chicken. Lunch specials come with miso soup or salad and white or brown rice, so I went with the house salad and brown rice with mine. My SO got the wonton soup and the two roll special for $15, electing to try the crunchy California and shrimp tempura rolls. The food was ready quickly, and the portions were much bigger than I'd expect for the typical lunch entree. My wok-glazed ginger chicken was alright, and loaded with vegetables. In hindsight, I would've tried a different sauce. My SO really enjoyed the wonton soup and sushi though, so I'm splitting the difference and giving Wild Ginger 4 stars.

This was a disappointing outing. Food did not live up to expectations at all. House salads were drowning in dressing. Sushi did not taste very fresh. Both Sichuan and Kung Pao chicken entrees had rubbery, flavorless chicken. Fried rice was also very bland. Maybe it was an off night, but would not be back to find out.

Came back for dinner the other. And it was crowded but we got seated within 10 minutes. I love their shrimp tempura roll and I also got their pad Thai. It was so flavorful and the portion was very big!

Everyone enjoyed their different entrees & apps of spring rolls & edamame. Everything was fresh and tasty, but sauces can overwhelm main ingredients. Entrees include soup or salad with too much ginger dressing. Lots of sushi options. The service was great on a busy Saturday evening. All staff and manager were friendly and welcoming. Would come back.

My wife and I were slightly overwhelmed with the selection of restaurants to pick from in this part of Columbus while passing through on our drive to the west coast. After checking Yelp, we selected Wild Ginger for dinner and we're very happy we did. On the outside, it looks like any other restaurant in your typical strip shopping center but there is a vestibule you pass through to enter another world. The interior is very warm, refined and up scale. The folks working here are super friendly and it starts from the moment you pass through their doors. We got a comfortable booth across from their full service bar that I don't think was open to sit at. It was a convenient spot to stage the plethora of carry out orders they processed. Our server was awesome. She helped us navigate their extensive menu of several styles of Asian food. My wife ordered chicken Szechuan with white rice and I opted for beef Szechuan with fried rice. Our entrees came with choice of soup and we both picked Hot and Sour based on our server's suggestion. She was spot on as it was very delicious. We both polished it off. Our entrees showed up shortly thereafter. Both were served temperature hot and spicy hot. I'd recommend backing off a notch on the spiciness unless you like it really hot. It is kinda funny how we both started sweating as we were eating it. The rice was served in a side bowl to easily mix in and help tone it down. All in all we were very happy with our choice to dine here. Everything was great and I have no suggestions on anything to improve. The only thing I'd do differently is order one entree to share as the portions were very generous and we couldn't take any back to the hotel with us.

I highly recommend the yellowtail jalapeño. (not pictured here) The sushi taste fresh and it's tasty. The respectful and polite staff made my personal experience even better.

Note the beef, pork and lamb meats are fresh frozen. You take your bowl to the counter where it is weighed and then you're asked what selection of broth that you want. I had a mix of fresh veggies, beef and pork, cob corn, and shrimp. After we finished our bowls, we treated ourselves to bingsoo with strawberries. It's finally nice that we have a place in Columbus with bingsoo. I loved it in Seoul and at the Asia Mall in Minneapolis. Total with three drinks was $99 for four people. The bingsoo was additional, about $14. Service was ok but there are no instructions or signage on how things work. Finally a waitress came over to explain everything. They do have rice bowls and noodle bowls as well if that's your preference.

I got the chicken ramen (flavorful chicken bone broth topped with wood ear mushroom, marinated bamboo, spring onion, and served with panko-breaded chicken breast- I subbed Japanese fried chicken). It also comes with fresh ramen noodles but I swapped for GF noodles! It was really good, except I am didn't understand the spice level for the broth and chose half Chili which was NOT the move for this "medium spicy" girl. I filled half my bowl with the broth and the other half with water. It was still almost too spicy. I got husband "junk ramen" and "red dragon maze man" and myself "Japanese curry with fried tofu" for lunch tomorrow. I'm sure these will all also be delicious! It was made and at my door in 20 mins too. Can't wait to go out to eat in person here- soon!

The broth had so much flavor and the spicy level 2 was perfectfor me, it actually had a kick without being overwhelming. I also tried the panko chicken which was really crispy and paired well with the ramen. The vibe of the place is also great with all the lamps, flags, and decor. The servers were incredibly sweet and made the whole visit even better. They also have a happy hour menu with some great options at a discounted price, so it is definitely worth checking out. Since it is so close to where I live and work, I will definitely be going back again.

I opted for delivery and was looking for a quick soup. Another helpers picture caught my attention and they offered free delivery on dash. Food arrived really fast, piping hot, and was absolutely delicious. I had the Dapanji stirred noodles which was silky and smooth and packed with flavor. The chicken was chunks of thigh meat on the bone and had bell peppers and potatoes. Sounds simple but MAN! Delish! It also had fresh noodles in a separate container. I also ordered hot n sour just in case I didn't like it, and I tasted it but couldn't put the Dapanji down. Hot n sour was also fantastic (leftovers for lunch tomorrow!). The eggroll was so so fresh and crispy. Not oily at all and the texture of the meat (white meat chicken) and veggies was PERFECT! This was probably the best door dash meal I have ever had. I must try eating in the restaurant soon! Side note, they also packed everything in the cutest containers and included utensils (spoon, chopsticks, toothpick)

The waitress taking the orders for us asked the kitchen about the gluten free questions my mom and I had. She came back and told us they could make the food in the back or the chef could separate the best they could. That was great to have that option available. I'm more there for the show as much as I am the food so we had it done on the table in front of us. I'm not celiac so I'm okay with some cross contamination. Our chef came out and recited our orders and went over the allergy changes and the gluten free request. He covered all of them great. Everything was separated from each other so the sauces didn't cross. He was as enthusiastic and friendly as you want your Hibachi chef to be. The portions were PLENTIFUL. You will not leave wanting more at the table. I know I didn't! I had plenty of leftovers to bring back to the house. Such a fun experience we all had at Ichiban. The staff was all attentive and accommodating. The lighting were dim around spots not occupied by guests. The music was not overwhelming to where you didn't hear the folks at your table.
