Consistently delicious. We went on a Tuesday night and it was PACKED. without reservations, we were able to be seated within 15 minutes. I ordered the miso soup with fat lady rolls and nigori. Parking: plenty available - shared open lot parking spaces. Ambience: there's a bar, booth, and high and low table setting options. Near the bar are tvs playing things like sports. Smells like delicious food. Service: good. The kitchen was backed up and things took a while to come out but our server was great- checked on us and gave us updates. Quality: high quality food. Ate a couple of rolls the next day, and it was equally as good. Very flavorful and filling. read more

This was a new place for me which liked even though it was crowded, the server was all over the place I'm glad yes did a decent job keeping up with the order and make sure we had what we ordered, on Wednesday they have a 50% off on drinks which is nice and the food was fresh and flavorful. I can see myself coming back here in the future. The restaurant was clean and the ambiance is relaxing despite that it was busy. read more

This was INCREDIBLE. The King Tuna roll actually blew my mind... hands down the best sushi roll I've ever had. The dynamite roll was delicious as well (but spicy) and the salmon sashimi was the best I've had in Columbus. Plus Sapporo on tap! Hit the BOGO deal on Tuesday which made it a great deal. Our sever was so friendly, quick service, clean space, and it smelled amazing as soon as we stepped out of the car. We will be back for sure. read more

Fantastic! Very personal setting, nice dining space as well as a number of seats right at the bar where the chefs are preparing the meals. Very diverse menu and everything we've tried has been great. The special rolls were our favorites, the spicy shrimp as well as the spicy scallops. The team of servers seemed to know their way around the menu and ingredients and are attentive to drinks and appetizers. Looking forward to our next visit and I'll remember to take some photos next time! The food is always fantastic looking and we dig in before remembering pictures. read more

so very disappointed in the change of the Hot green tea..IMO this location had the best because of the way they served it (small stainless steel pot and a porcelain cup) now they serve it in a "to go" cup and it's barely warm!! read more

I stopped at Fugu Sushi after I saw they had decent reviews. I wish my review could be as glowing however my experience wasn't as exceptional. They sat me at the bar. There is the sushi bar on one side and the bar on the other side. My server was attentive as I was at the bar. I ordered a seaweed salad and a bento box with steak. It took awhile to get my meal. The seasweed salad was good, however everything in the bento box was cold. Not cool, cold! It was not appetizing trying to eat cold meat. I ended up only eating the sushi rolls and taking the rest home. I am not sure if the server was going to make it right or not, but I just boxed it up to go. A little disappointing. read more

We came here on a Thursday evening. The staff immediately greeted us and told us they would be with us shortly. We were seated at a front booth. My husband ordered a fugu margarita and I settled for a Shirley temple. The Cocktail was half off ($5.50). We ordered a Philadelphia Roll (salmon, cream cheese, cucumber), King Roll (salmon, yellowtail, tuna with three different colored roe on top), and the Fugu Roll (shrimp tempura, avocado, lobster salad and sauce on top). The salmon in the Philadelphia Roll smelled and tasted a little 'fishy' to both me and my husband, and the King Roll didn't have much flavor without the soy sauce. But, we both really enjoyed the Fugu Roll, and as an aside, I thought that the different colored roe on top of the King Roll was creative and cute! read more

First off this is by far my favorite sushi spot!!!! I'm OBSESSED with there fat lady roll I get that everytime I go the service is great I will say if you go later in the day they get busy so just be aware of that but besides that everything is great. I love how clean it is inside. they make the sushi where you can see it I love that. The spring rolls are good the Japanese chicken is alright I probably wouldn't get it again because of how small the pieces were. read more

Stopped by Fugu Sushi for to go lunch! It's super affordable, fast and convenient. I got the salmon teriyaki bento box that comes with a miso soup or salad, shumai and a California roll. I also got the 3 sushi roll lunch combo (eel avocado, spicy crunch salmon and shrimp tempura). Both combos were $12.95 each! It only took 15-20 mins to prepare so call ahead and pick up. It's also a great place for dining in alone, with a date or in a group setting. The last time I dined in, we got a sushi boat and some sake. Super affordable as well. The only downside about our last in person visit was that the waitress had chased after us because they forgot to charge a drink on our bill. It was kind of embarrassing so my boyfriend refuses to go back here but for the quality of food and price, it's not a bad deal. read more

WOW! This is an impressive restaurant all the way around! The inside is clean with a nice ambiance. Servers are polite and not overly attentive. The sushi was to die for! Probably in my top 3 all time best sushi experiences! Not the regular bland menu. I had the Yama and Out of Control roll. The mango and pepper tuna pair exquisitely together! Yellowtail was the freshest and best tasting I've ever had! I really hope you all enjoy it like I did! My only complaint was with the green salad. The lettuce wasn't washed so it was bitter. They also have a lunch menu that have options of bento box and varieties of sushi combos. I love this place. The restaurant is clean (including the restroom) and the service is great and so is the food. My waiter was Shan and they did an amazing job! I really love the sushi here! I came here on a Wednesday and they have a special 50% OFF SELECT of 2nd special roll. I got the Fugu Roll ($3.49), the King Lobster Roll ($8.48) and the Gyoza ($3.25). The food was amazing! The service is good and the staff will help you make selections and explain what each sushi is once it comes out if you're unfamiliar. Good quality and a good price at this restaurant and they have a bar with mixed drinks too. Update! Ok, so I have been back THREE times since I posted my review and I waited to update the review to ensure that the changes that had been made were consistent and they are! I am so darn happy! The specialty rolls are back to their normal size. They're large, super filling, and worth the $10 - $15 you spend on the specialty rolls. The staff has definitely become much more friendly. I am definitely happy with these changes and am going to give Fugu the five stars I believed they deserved when I first started frequenting the place four years ago and deserve now. One of my all time favorite restaurants and by my judgment one of the top sushi restaurants in the Columbus area. Every experience I have had at this spot has been top notch, and better than sushi I have had on both coasts of the US. Do not let the strip mall exterior fool you- the staff and food experience are the best in the local business, hands down. My favorite rolls: Godzilla, Pink Lady, Fugu, King Tuna Their Tom Yum, Shumai Miso, and anything Tempura are also amazing! read more

Absolutely FIRE sushi. I cant talk about the hot entrées very much, but omg is their sushi and sashimi fresh, delicious, and wonderful. I've been here 10+ times, and it's always quality. I highly recommend the Fugu Sushi Combo (3 tuna, 3 yellowtail, 3 salmon, a salmon roll, and miso soup or a salad). Soooo good, and priced very competitively. The Spicy Scallop Crunch Roll, and Kani Salad (crab meat, fish roe, and fresh cucumbers slices in a spicy, light mayo-based sauce) are also S-L-A-M-M-I-N. Above and beyond the best sushi I've had in the east-side area. I'd give it a 4.5, but there're no options for half stars (yet?). Also, the pricing is what I'd consider on the lower side for a sushi/fresh fish establishment. It's all appropriately priced, considering the amount of food you get. 2 Spicy Scallop Crunch rolls, an order of Mackerel sushi (2 pcs), and the Fugu Sushi Combo (9 pcs sushi, a roll, and miso soup) is right around $30! I'm very happy with that price for the freshness and amount (as well as variety) of fish. read more

This is a really cute restaurant that we came to eat at while visiting Ohio. We didn't know what to expect from the seafood here and how it would compare to Las Vegas. The food here was okay in my opinion. There wasn't anything in particular that we ordered that blew my mind. I did like that they had a bento lunch special for 12.95! It came with a choice of meat (chicken, beef, salmon, shrimp, tofu, katsu or tempura), miso soup, California roll and shumai. I also ordered the any 3 rolls which were about $10. Overall I thought the food here was a good deal to me when getting the bento box and I had leftovers at the end so My hunger was satisfied! It is a decent place to eat it. read more

I can only vouch for the teriyaki beef--not bad but could be better in terms of having the grill marks I think will enhances the flavor a bit. Had to ask for a second cup of rice because it wasn't enough. Overall satisfied with the service, waiter is friendly and attentive. They could improve the cleanliness of the tables.. Friend of mine told me they also serve Vietnamese coffee, I asked, he said only Thai coffee, okay, no big deal. Ordered a drink, asked for a a straw, nope, don't have it, asked me if I want a to go cup, a restaurant don't have straw? Thats your only one job, order everything you need for the "restaurant". To me, that's a very poor management, because when you owing a business, you do not and never wait until everything is out to reorder, when ever your products are running low, not out, you reorder Poor experience

Have to say cleanliness was the downfall. Food was spilled over between the buffet trays, just didn't seem the most sanitary. If you are not overly squeamish about buffets and just happen to be in the area, then it's worth a try, but don't make a special trip.

Instead of taking responsibility, I was met with excuses and a dismissive attitude, which only added to my frustration. The only bright spot in this experience was the manager. Since the rest of my food had been sitting there for over an hour, the manager apologized and remade the entire order. I genuinely appreciate how professionally the manager handled the situation. That said, a Father's Day meal shouldn't require a second trip, an hour-long delay, and a confrontation just to receive the food that was already paid for. Extremely disappointing experience.
