Wildfork is everything a meat and seafood lover could ask for. Their products are fresh frozen and the high quality is evident. They offer every cut of beef, chicken, and pork you could ever need. They have exotic meats such as elk, bison, boar, and ostrich just to name a few. There are recipe cards and the knowledgeable staff will give you preparation advice if you need it. The store is spotless. All of their freezer cases are clearly labeled to make it easy to find what you are looking for. Try the picanha, a tender beef that you can add a flavorful chimichurri sauce to. They have gnocchi and zucchini noodles. So many kinds of fish and shrimp. They have dozens of spice mixtures for purchase as well as take and bake quick appetizers which would be perfect for holiday gatherings. I purchased my Thanksgiving turkey breast from them and can't wait to try it. They offer vegetable sides and breakfast waffles stuffed with apple or creme fillings. Their staff is wonderful. This is the perfect place to purchase your holiday meats and fish from.

Good selection of frozen meats, sides, desserts, veggies, and heat-and-serve individual and family meals. Some really tasty selections. We loved the Mediterranean gnocchi. Great customer service. The store is laid out well with wide aisles, and great lighting.

Wild Fork opened in Mount Prospect 2 weeks ago located across from Randhurst shopping center. The store is clean, bright and well organized. Upon entering we were greeted by Carey, who explained to us about their products, pointed out recipe cards spread throughout the store. Wild Fork mamages the entire meat/seafood process. They select the farms to packaging Nd freezing. They promote consistency and high quality. They have prepared individual meals, hourdourves, meats, large selection of seafood, sausages, and chicken. They also have a variety of unusual meats, beef heart, whole pigs, elk, bison, lamb and many meats I was not familiar with. My husband and I first reviewed all the products in the store and than started over to make our selections. The prices are clearly displayed and all of the workers were extremely friendly and helpful. Carey was especially helpful and accommodating throughout our visit. Looking forward to trying our purchses.

I also really enjoyed picking up a variety of delicious breads from the bakery every single day as well. My favorite was the cream pan; it was super soft, and had a perfect amount of cream filling. There were also a lot of cute breads in the shape of different characters that were also as delicious as they were cute. There is a self check out line as well as plenty of cashiers so the wait to check out was minimal to none.

I was just in the neighborhood and I've been wanting to check Mitsuwa out forever so I figured I'd finally take a look around. So whats here? Plenty of food options! It smells great in here. Walking in and right away there's wagu bento for sale. Friendly workers offering samples of alcohol behind them. Cool food stalls doing classics like yakitori, grilled fish, karaage, katsu don and more! Crepe stand, you bet. Bread shop, absolutely. With the yakisoba bread I've never actually seen for sale! Honestly there's plenty more. There's a grocery store. I didn't spend long in this section but I saw some of my favorite snacks and some premier cuts of fish. A small gatcha section! I didn't see anything I loved but they had some Spy Family stuff. A One Piece Card Game shop. I don't know anything about this particular card game, outside of its obvious relationship to the Anime it's based on. That said, the shop was busy and seemed to have people hanging out and maybe playing the game as well. Not sure if this was a pop-up or not. A small Pop-up section. Currently dedicated to merchandise from Godzilla, Ultraman, and Kamen Rider. A bookshop. Which is under-selling it. It's got English AND Japanese versions of manga. A nice selection of classic stuff and modern hits. Its got plenty of random merchandise and figures too. This spot is a destination on its own for sure. I'll be back with a full paycheck to eat and shop.

BEST BUTCHER SHOP AROUND -- HANDS DOWN!…read more Dorfler's Meats has been my go-to butcher shop for the past few years, and honestly, I can't imagine shopping anywhere else. From the moment you walk in, the owners and staff treat you like family -- not just customers. It's beyond refreshing to go to a meat shop that truly does it right, from start to finish. The quality is unmatched. I happily travel well out of my way just to stock up on their incredibly fresh meats, top-tier seafood, and the ready-made, home-cooked meals that make weeknights (and weekends) so much better. And let's not forget the deli counter -- WOW. The sandwiches are next-level delicious, and the homemade salads are always fresh, flavorful, and addictive. If you're shopping for the holidays, Dorfler's is an absolute must. Their Prime Tenderloin roasts are unreal -- exceptional quality, fair pricing, and you can truly tell how much care and craftsmanship goes on behind the scenes. It's the kind of place where excellence isn't an accident -- it's the standard. The staff is nothing but helpful, friendly, and genuinely kind. From outstanding customer service at the counter to unforgettable meals at my family's table, we have nothing but positive things to say about Dorfler's Meats. Thank you to everyone at Dorfler's for all you do to stay open, keep raising the bar, and continue showcasing exciting, seasonal products that we look forward to all year long. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out -- HIGHLY recommend!

And yes, in case you didn't know, while it's called "International", all those nations are in Asia. We come here mainly for two things - either getting ingredients to make hot pot at home, or just eating hot pot here. They also have dry pot, which my wife and I really like as an option. You grab a basket and fill it with whatever veggies you want, then a separate one and fill it with proteins, then you pay by the weight. You can either get it hot pot style in a big bowl of hot broth, or dry pot where they cook it in the broth but serve your food already cooked. As far as the grocery selection, they have a big seafood selection and a decent butcher area. Also a lot of Asia snacks and frozen selection, and a small liquor section too. Produce is fine. But if you're making hot pot at home, they have the sliced meat, soup base, sauces, and a little frozen fish ball self-serve area. If you don't want to eat hot pot here, they serve other Asian hot dishes, and there's a bubble tea spot and bakery here, but I haven't tried anything else besides the hot pot. Sense a trend yet? It's not as big as Joong Boo, and it's bigger than the current H Mart for now but will be interesting to see how the new one compares. Overall it's a fine grocery store and we'll come back when that craving for mala spice strikes.
