This a very well run and clean store, and shopping here is always fun! Prices are better than Jewel and we do almost all of our shopping here. We find the staff to be very efficient and hard working. They really go above and beyond at this location. Even when the store is packed (and it often can be) you are checked out very quickly. This Trader Joe's in my "home" Trader Joe's and I enjoy the familiarity of the staff, the ease of navigation, and the music selection, as silly as it sounds. I usually catch myself singing as I shop! ("Manchild" by Sabrina Carpenter, anyone?) I am in here a couple of times a week for dinner supplies, lunch box supplies, and kitchen staples. I can drop my daughter off at drum lessons near the local high school, pop over for dinner supplies, and still be on time to pick her up--AMAZING! They are usually stocked and if items have limits, like the protein pancakes, they have reasonable boundaries. I am allowed to purchase 4 stacks of pancakes at a time! I used to long for a Trader Joe's at Randhurst, but now, even if they built one there, I could not abandon my Trader "Home." read more

This location does not have the abundance of flowers that I am used to for TJs. Additionally the quality was lacking on the roses - almost all had wilting petals- compared to the locations on the west coast. Maybe it's the norm for the midwest stores but for June was surprising. read more

This is one of my go to Trader Joe's! I'm a frequent TJs gal, from the fresh veggies, to the frozen meals they make for a quick and easy dinner, or the par prepped proteins that just require a short cooking time really makes for quick and easy dinners. Who can forget their incredible charcuterie section with a vast variety of cheese, and meats to make the perfect board for any occasion. (If you haven't tried the mini Brie bites, grab them, heat them up a little with a drizzle of honey and fresh crack pepper and eat it with a cracker of your choice- you'll love it!) My favorite reason for coming to this location has to be the staff! All of their staff members are always so kind and are always willing to make recommendations based on your needs. One of the only issues I tend to have here are expiration dates. While for many it may not be a big issue, but I always end up only finding yogurts and milk they expire within the week and it makes it a bit tough to purchase for a full week. But when I have the ability to shop for a few days at a time it's great! Other than that the shelves are always stocked and the new items k look to try are always available for me to grab to live our my foodie desires. read more

I absolutely love this Trader Joe's in a while. This Trader Joe's seems a little bit smaller than other neighboring ones. I really do like it because every time I walk in here someone who works here is incredibly friendly and helpful. I have only been to this place once in the last four years when it was slightly empty, and there was not a line for check out, the parking here is absolutely horrible. Whoever designed this strip mall with as many stores as there are as well as how narrow the driving lanes are is ridiculous. The only downside to this location is that anytime there are great seasonal items you have to be here, fast and early otherwise they are gone. read more

I'm a fan of Trader Joe's; for me, I have a busy schedule and it is a matter of getting a variety of healthy food options that are either prepared or easy to prepare. This store is clean, well-organized, with friendly, helpful workers. Whenever lines start to form too much near the front; they'll ring a bell and open a new register. Trader Joe's in here is small compared to the other grocery stores but even if it is small, I am contented buying my groceries in here because I am ale to get everything I needed. The store is always clean, well-organized and fully stocked. When the pandemic started, this has been my go-to store and they are top notch on following the protocols and all. the staff in here is friendly and helpful. I always have everything I want in here and there is also unique items. They also have fresh produce although it is limited. I also love their selection of variety of cheese since I love cooking mac and cheese from time to time. The store is convenient for me too because it is just around my place. I am just really glad that I am able to get good quality products in fair and reasonable prices. Garage parking is also available in here and helpful for me because I always brought my car. read more

The associates are willing to help you find things and even check in back to see if something that is not on the shelf is in the stock area. If it's not even in the stock area they even write up a list of when the next few shipments will arrive. Pricing is very competitive and definitely beat's big box retailers such as Whole Food's and other health food stores. Wheelchair accessibility at the enterance is very well done, there are no narrow aisles in the store that would prevent entry. However aisle width in certain aisles prevents doing a 360 degree turn in a center wheel drive powerchair. Check out counters are NOT wheelchair accessible except TWO of them, one of which is the service desk, this leaves a lot to be desired. I almost never make it out to a Trader Joe's, because there aren't any close to me, but it's a celebration when I do. This is my happy place! All of the employees are helpful and personable. The store is clean and there's always some new item that catches my eye. I can't walk out of here without at least 5 items, even if I only popped in for 1 because I happened to be in the area. The only real downside is that their somewhat regular rotation means a lot of the things I fall in love with get phased out. It had been a few years, so I understand no longer being able to locate the Trader Jacques' mac 'n' cheese with brie. But I was just here a couple weeks back and now they are out of stock of the Trader Joe's blueberry lavender almond milk! read more

Always a clean store with the gosh darndest friendliest staff. Great selection of cheese and wines. My favorite TJ's items are the pork belly, great to brown up and put in ramen noodle soup; the frying cheese (available seasonally), which goes great on their sourdough bread; and their pizzas and pizza crusts are very good too for a quick snack or dinner option. My cat loves the canned food from TJ's, especially the tuna. Great prices, friendly service, awesome products. read more

This is my favorite Trader Joe's location. It's not very big but it has the essentials. The staff at this location are super friendly and just so pleasant to be around. This store is always stocked up and very organized. I have been to other locations in the area that are not organized properly and it makes things hard to find. Some of my favorite things at Trader Joe's is first the triple ginger cookies they are light crispy and super addictive the same thing goes for the toasted coconut ones. Their garlic infused olive oils are amazing especially on pasta with a little sprinkle or parm. They also now carry a cauliflower pizza crust in the frozen section so amazing and a healthy alternative. All you do is follow the directions on the back of the box cooking the crust first then add your toppings bake for a little longer and out pops perfection. Trader Joe's also has a great selection of wine for awesome prices ( I have purchased wine for like $5... SCORE). I love Trader Joe's it's so affordable and great quality products. This store is located in a shopping plaza with other stores and the parking is usually not a problem. For me this location is the most convenient. read more

Late yesterday afternoon I called Trader Joe's in Arlington Heights looking for their Glutton-free stuffing. The woman who answered the phone told me they had 100 boxes. I asked if she could hold one until this morning. She advised that they do not hold seasonal items. Then went on to say they they would not sell 100 boxes between then and this morning. I live in Elgin and was at Trader Joe's at 9:03 am today. There was a line waiting to get in, so I waited my turn to get into the store. I found the Cornbread stuffing, but there was no Glutton-free stuffing anywhere near it. I saw a guy who worked there about to walk past me. I got his attention and asked where the Glutton-free stuffing was. He advised me that they sold the last box on Wednesday, today is Saturday. I explained that I called the evening before and was told they had 100 boxes. He told me he did not think they did, but he would check in the back. When he came back, he confirmed that they did not have any Glutton-free stuffing. I noticed his name on his name tag, Aaron. He apologized to me for being told that they had the stuffing when they had been out for three days. I was very disappointed and thanked for checking and his time. Then Aaron told me he wanted to give me a gift card for being told they had the Glutton-free stuffing when they did not and my driving all the way there. I told him thank you, but it wasn't necessary. Aaron insisted and told me to wait there and ran off. He came back with a $25 gift card and then told me to get a bouquet of flowers for myself and my family to enjoy. I was shocked, I could not believe how thoughtful and generous Aaron was being. I was disappointment, but did not expect anything. I appreciated the time Aaron had taken to look in the back and confirm they did not have the Glutton-free stuffing. I thought this was the end of my good fortune, but it was not. As I was standing in front of the bouquets of flowers picking one to take home, Aaron came running back up to me. Someone had just returned a box of Glutton-free stuffing. The box was sealed - it had never been opened. Aaron told me if I wanted it, it was mine. I jumped on it and took the box of Glutton-free stuffing. I was about to give him back the gift card, but he said no that I should keep the gift card & the bouquet. While we talked I found out that Aaron is a manager at Trader Joe's in Arlington Heights. Aaron is also an extremely awesome person! We need more Aaron's in this world! read more

This was my first visit to trader Joes and upon entry store was nice and clean. Produce selection super fresh and lots of organics to choose from. Aisles not very big but good enough for me and to do my grocery shopping. Thru out the store quite a variety and here you can find a little of everything. Nice fresh flowers. Check out is nice, cashiers take your cart or basket and scan everything while bagging it for you. Nice cashiers. They bag everything in paper bags. I enjoyed my visit here and prices not bad. Who doesn't love Trader Joe's? Not sure how you can't love them. Of course everyone has different experiences based on where they live and the store they go to. I've probably been to over 10 different Trader Joe's locations across the country, and one thing I can say is that they are all almost exactly the same. When you walk in you know what to expect, where things are located, and that they should have it. Sometimes the store layout seems flipped in reverse from another you are used to, but again they are all the same. This was the second time I went to this store and both times I had excellent help from the people working there even when I couldn't pronounce the item correctly they knew or if they didn't they checked for me. Today I got help from a nice gentleman wish I could remember his name. He told me about harissa and how good it is, since I was looking for a spicy sauce used in medaterian and I googled what I thought was the name of it which they didn't carry. I decided with his recommendation to give it a try. It is perfect it's got a great taste and goes perfect with what I wanted it for. This is my go-to store for two things: Chocolate and Booze. Ovulation ain't got nothin' on me. If you haven't tried their dark chocolate bar with caramel and black sea salt, well, you just haven't lived. In fact, one time out car broke down here when it probably about negative 10,000 degrees and you know what? I didn't even care because we'd just bought 5 of these suckers and I was set. Otherwise we come for cheap but decent wine (not that I know the difference between sh*tty and good wine) as well as beer. They don't have any alcohol so there's definitely a several hour grace period before you can take down a can a brew. What's also nice is that there's always at least one person working this area and ready to give suggestions and recommendations, which I normally don't need or want, but the picks are pretty much always spot on and so all my purchases have been 100% without regret. Also, I just saw last week that they're now selling BOOZE booze, like vodka and ish. I think it was two different flavors of Svedka or something for $6.99. So many options! The register staff are always really friendly and even though the way the door and carts and parking lot are set up is extremely annoying, they always offer to help you take your groceries out to your car if you have a bunch of heavy ish. It's not my favorite TJs (again, because of the maddening entrance/P-lot situation), but I often find myself in the area and I'm grateful for it's existence. read more

This is definitely one of the best Trader Joe's I've ever been to, if not the best. (It's hard to mentally compare it to the one I shopped at in LA... not to mention a completely different market.) It's got a great selection, friendly staff, and is always well-stocked. They go completely out of their way for customers, including my mom. She is OBSESSED with one very specific yoghurt they carry -- one brand, one flavor -- and likes to buy as many as possible when she shops here since it's a mini roadtrip. Recently, she had found only one or two lingering in the back of the shelves, so each yoghurt ended up costing $15 when comp'ed for gas, haha. Yikes! She wanted the yoghurts so badly, but didn't want to make the drive, so we called to check their stock; they had just gotten multiple cases in and offered to save one in back just for us! Now THAT, my friends, is customer service. Just today, I witnessed one of the employees speaking Spanish with a young boy who was with his mom. The boy was telling him it was his birthday (yay for studying espanol and being able to comprender the conversation!) and the Trader Joe's worker gave him a box of cookies, marked them with something, and told him they were free as a gift! I've seen this happen at other Trader Joe's (at the one in LA, another employee gave a customer flowers on her birthday while I was shopping). Trader Joe's makes you feel appreciated. I honestly can't think of any store that does this stuff, much less a supermarket. It makes me want to shop there even more. Oh, and did I mention the Smiley Face label wine? I always have to walk past that aisle just so I can see it and start smiling at it (the label, not the booze. Okay, guys?) I'd take this Trader Joe's location over the one in Park Ridge any day. Parking is 1000 x's better here and the store is much easier to navigate. You aren't shopping on top of other customers like you are at the Park Ridge location. Generally the prices are fairly competitive. Our cashier was friendly and bagged our groceries perfectly. I'm bothered when T.J.'s doesn't list where their products were made. Not 'distributed', but actually made. Anyone know where the biscotti is made? The package I bought didn't say. I try to buy things only made in the U.S.A., but Trader Joe's does carry quite a few items from Indonesia, etc. Maybe it's just my paranoia, but I like knowing that my food wasn't manufactured thousands of miles away. I was satisfied with the produce I bought; apples, green grapes, raspberries and salad mixes. Their pretzel croissants are probably one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten. My thighs certainly don't thank me. Spring water is from Tennessee, thankfully. Fresh flowers are a helluva deal, too. My bouquet lasted 2 weeks. For us the beer selection is top-notch. I can always trust that I will have an exceptional experience at Trader Joe's, especially this location. The service is outstanding- a couple of months ago I grabbed a bag of apples without examining them, and as I was paying one of the employees noticed that a few apples were bruised and went to go see if he could find a better batch. He looked for a little while, and came back with another bag and said, "these are not perfect either, but half of this bag is good and half of the other bag looks good, so this bag is on us." On top of the amazing service, the prices are so reasonable. Up to now, this has been my favorite grocery store during the pandemic. They were very diligent about making sure everyone entering was wearing a mask, cleaning off the cart handles, etc. But what happened, manager of this Trader Joe's??? There is a mask mandate in the state of Illinois. You have a "masks required" sign on your front door. And yet . . . people are walking in sans mask, and walking around the store like they haven't a care in the world. No one stops them, nor does anyone ask them to wear a mask. When I informed the cashier that some people just came in without masks and are walking around the store (probably NOT vaccinated) among the rest of us, she said we're not enforcing the mask mandate anymore AND WE "CAN'T" ask them to wear a mask. . WHAAAAAT??????? Why not ??? You've done it all along during the pandemic, why stop now? Afraid of offending some non-vaccinated, non-mask wearer over and above protecting the health of the rest of your customers who willing do what is expected in society to put an end to this madness? Shame on you. State of Illinois has a mandate. You require it. There is NO EXCUSE for not enforcing it -- none. Put someone back at the entrance and please stop letting inconsiderate morons enter without masks. read more

Happy 15th Anniversary to this Trader Joe's location! I still remember when it first opened! They had a wonderful celebration today with free giveaways, food and drink samples, coloring, and face painting for the kiddos. There was even a horse mascot walking around giving away toy footballs! This location is very clean and the people are very friendly. They will come up to you and ask if you need anything. And if you need help finding something, they are more than happy to help. The cashiers are also very polite. There are always new foods and drinks to discover. There have a plethora of gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options. They have samples of food and coffee in the back. There is a large parking lot with plenty of spaces. read more
