The prices are very reasonable and the sizes they sell in are great for use right away (unless you get a Cowboy Steak and that will feed two for two nights. All of their food is fresh frozen and comes from everywhere. We love their PICANHA, Brazilian Churrasco BBQ Rodizio style steak, but our favorite and the dogs favorite is their venison. We only feed our dogs fresh food, cooked daily and all of it is now from Wild Fork. They are picky and love to eat the bison and venison. They also have frozen items in small packs for two. We love their crab cakes and their lobster cakes. They have bread, we love their Parker Rolls. Their service is usually okay here, but don't leave something in the bottom of my cart and then, honest me, I tell them after all is bagged and they make me wait in line. That was bad form. Have to admit, I grilled the swordfish and served it alongside freshly made mango/jalapeño salsa and it was superb! I had doubts, but it seems frozen swordfish steaks grill up very nicely. I whipped up a lemon garlic aioli for the roasted brussels sprouts and we gobbled up every bite! I'm much more likely to prep fresh fish and meat in the future, but I can easily see how I'd visit again if I'm craving something out of season. Yup, I'd give frozen a try again. Wildfork is a specialty seafood grocery but also carries other items. This is a more expensive type of store located in expensive Manhattan Beach(avg. home price $3.5 million and full of empty houses). So one should not expect deals and bargains here. However, the quality is very good with hard to find items. I had an excellent frozen lasagna and potato/broccoli/cheese patties from Italy and Belgium which were delicious and worth the extra price, in my opinion. Service and communication needs some improvement but not bad. The location is good at the corner of Manhattan Beach Blvd and Sepulveda(aka PCH). HOWEVER, BE VERY CAREFUL DRIVING AND WATCH FOR PEDESTRIANS, BICYCLISTS. There have been several fatal accidents on this stretch of road this past year. read more

The staff was helpful. Lots of interesting items. I found Razor clams that I have always wanted to try. I did indeed find smoked duck and bought 5 pkgs. I also found 1 lb bricks of Elk & Yak. Something new for my family and turned them into delicious burgers for dinner. I really enjoyed the flavor of the Yak. So i'm not that impressed with Wild Fork. Folks seem to rave about it but i went in expecting more of a butcher style approach and in reality everything is frozen. Some of the stuff well over a year ago...i'm sure it is all fine but a few things i looked at were packaged a very long time ago...and prices were pretty high given that Lazy Acres, Gelsons and Whole Foods are close by. Yes, they have every meat imaginable. Yes, it's a bright new store. Yes, there's a ton of parking in this Target lot. Yes, all the staff were helpful But i just don't see how this lasts. My wife picked up some Prime Ribeye Steaks this week. I was very skeptical about frozen steaks. But they were fantastic. Large variety of meat, seafood, vegetables, seasoning from different countries/states. Most meats/fish are flash frozen. It provides a large variety types of meat, cuts, countries in one location vs. Butcher box. However, some items are not vacuum seal and tasted a bit old. The items with flavor had no flavor in comparison similar items sold at costco/sams. Maybe, the purpose is to allow each person to salt to own preference? Some items tried so far: 1. Bone marrow is available but tasted old. (I felt a bit ill after the 1st piece) 2. Mesquite chicken wings - Not that much flavor. Costco Fosters is better. You'll need add own salt to enjoy the mesquite flavor. 3. Smoked Duck & Reg = awesome, but does also require a bit salt/pepper. 4. Brazil Ribeye bit too dry and hard 5. Duck Foie Gras - No flavor/stayed hard, I had better tasting and softer ones in cans from France. Delivery done locally in California is by Doordash. Frozen item is placed in a slim thermal bag inside of large paper grocery bag, there is NO dry ice like butcher box need to be home to avoid item from defrosting. Store employees in Manhattan were very helpful and nice. Colette? is awesome. Their customer service allowed me to find a product I liked which when others didn't' work. Ordering online vs. in-store. There is a time lag, so order from the app in the store did not allow items to be pick up in the store the same day. read more

On September 30th a friend and I were visiting a family member in Redondo Beach and on our way back (around 8PM ) we stopped by Wild Fork to get Blood Sausages and other items we cant get where we live, the two ladies at the store were absolutely AMAZING ! they helped us find what we needed and they packed our food so it would not defrost ...I cant say enough of the excellent customer service received. UPDATE: I love the Atlantic salmon steaks, no yucky skin on them; they are individually frozen and delicious when baked with a dusting of dill weed, lemon juice and sea salt. Definitely will buy again. Empanadas (cheese and grilled onions) were good but could have used more seasoning. The meatloaf/mashed potatoes/green beans individual meal was very good....not like homemade but still good. The scallops were tasty. The bratwurst was ok, could have used more seasoning. All of this came to $54.90. . Soft opening was June 19. Friendly staff, not too many people here Saturday cuz obviously the word has not yet gotten out. What a wonderful experience! My wife and I drove about 45 minutes to shop at the physical shop for a 4th of July brisket. We had a snag with an online coupon, and they bent over backyards to figure it out. The staff was wonderful, especially Colette (spelling?) . She was patient and kind. She had a fabulous sense of humor during my chaotic shopping spree. Yesterday was the first time in my 64 years on this planet that as I was leaving I asked anyone helping me shop for a hug. Purchased prime aged ribey. So tender and delicious. Price was lower than the boutique grocery stores, such as Whole Foods. It does take a while to thaw because it's kept very cold but that's also what contributes to the quality. I saw someone post 1 star and complained about the 1.5 hours cooking it was a waste of time. If you cook a steak 1.5 hours, it will taste like leather, regardless of the cut and source. read more

Disturbing Racial Profiling at Wild Fork Supermarket on JUNETEENTH!!! I had one of the most humiliating and disturbing experiences of my life at Wild Fork Supermarket in Manhattan Beach on June 22, 2024. Right after attending a Juneteenth Celebration--a day meant to honor freedom and equality--I walked into the store feeling great, only to leave feeling targeted and dehumanized. From the moment I entered, I felt the stares from the employees. An employee bypassed a customer who walked in just before me and came directly to me. Cristian, a young Black male approached me awkwardly and asked if I needed help. I politely declined, wanting to browse on my own, but his nervous demeanor made me feel as though someone had sent him to speak to me and to watch over me. As I continued shopping, I noticed a group of employees, including the store manager, Shanti, standing together, pointing, laughing, and staring at me. This happened not once, not twice, but repeatedly--eight times to be exact. Each time I looked up, they were mocking me. The laughter--five instances that I could count--echoed in the aisles each time I looked at a different product, making my shopping experience unbearable. Each time I noticed them staring at me, they would nervously walk up to me and ask if I needed help (a total of 4 times). I was the only Black customer in the store, and no other customers were approached or asked if they needed help while I was shopping. When I moved closer to the checkout area, I overheard derogatory comments directed at me. I turned around to see three employees laughing directly at me. When I confronted the manager, Shanti, she gave a half-hearted apology and offered me a discount, which I declined. Despite my insistence that I did not need any favors, she forced the discount on me, reducing my bill by $2, as if this was enough to excuse the humiliation and racial profiling I experienced. During our conversation, I asked if they wanted me to leave the store, and she kept saying, "No, please stay." She then claimed she recognized me and had seen me in the store before, which was not true, as this was my first visit. I reiterated that I felt harassed and asked if they wanted me to leave, but she kept insisting I stay. She apologized and said that she had too many employees just hanging out and they were trying too hard to give customer service, but it looked more as if they were standing around telling jokes about people who walk in the store to spend their money instead of providing professional customer service. I was the only customer they even talked to when they were not giggling and cackling while looking in my direction. The final blow came when I realized that my receipt had been discarded and not given to me, forcing me to return to the store to retrieve it. This entire experience made me feel like an unwelcome intruder, judged solely by the color of my skin right after celebrating Black freedom on Juneteenth. This was my first visit to Wild Fork, and it will definitely be my last! The racial profiling and blatant discrimination I faced were unacceptable and deeply hurtful. I hope Wild Fork Supermarket will address this behavior and ensure that no other customer has to endure such degrading treatment. Wild Fork, your actions on a day meant to celebrate freedom and equality were a stark reminder of how far we still have to go. Please take serious steps to educate your employees and foster an environment where everyone, regardless of race, can feel respected and welcome. read more
