The staff there were very friendly. They were easy to pick up a conversation with and genuinely be interested in having one. When I couldn't find the food items I use to cook for my dogs they easily knew where they were which made my visit much more smoothly. The prices are GREAT and how they freeze their products definitely helps to keep the food items as fresh as possible when ready to cook. I love that they sell exotic meats. Looking to try grounded yak soon!

Have to admit, I grilled the swordfish and served it alongside freshly made mango/jalapeño salsa and it was superb! I had doubts, but it seems frozen swordfish steaks grill up very nicely. I whipped up a lemon garlic aioli for the roasted brussels sprouts and we gobbled up every bite! I'm much more likely to prep fresh fish and meat in the future, but I can easily see how I'd visit again if I'm craving something out of season. Yup, I'd give frozen a try again. Cheers, Yelp friends!

Friendly staff, great selection of meats, and very decent prices. Place is a bit small but navigable; don't hesitate to ask for help, they're all so nice and willing to help!

Great variety of meats including specialty meats such as bison and venison. They have sides and desserts too! Seafood selections are extensive. Quality of their products are excellent! Service is great, and store is well kept and maintained.

This is pretty much a pure "Frozen Food" market, but it seems "Fresh Frozen" quality with the meats and seafood. I went here and picked up their PICANHA, Brazilian Churrasco BBQ Rodizio style steak aka Top Sirloin Cap aka Coulotte, the top of the rump. @ Frozen freezer section dedicated for this popular cut of beef.

Wildfork is a specialty seafood grocery but also carries other items. This is a more expensive type of store located in expensive Manhattan Beach(avg. home price $3.5 million and full of empty houses). So one should not expect deals and bargains here. However, the quality is very good with hard to find items. I had an excellent frozen lasagna and potato/broccoli/cheese patties from Italy and Belgium which were delicious and worth the extra price, in my opinion. Service and communication needs some improvement but not bad. The location is good at the corner of Manhattan Beach Blvd and Sepulveda(aka PCH). HOWEVER, BE VERY CAREFUL DRIVING AND WATCH FOR PEDESTRIANS, BICYCLISTS. There have been several fatal accidents on this stretch of road this past year.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US! NOVEMBER 10th!

First time customer!! I called to make Sure they had smoked duck breasts since I was driving from North Long Beach, Natalie assured me they did, I appreciate that! The store was immaculate, tidy. The staff was helpful. Lots of interesting items. I found Razor clams that I have always wanted to try. I did indeed find smoked duck and bought 5 pkgs. I also found 1 lb bricks of Elk & Yak. Something new for my family and turned them into delicious burgers for dinner. I really enjoyed the flavor of the Yak. YES, the prices are a bit scary and since it is close to Halloween, this is a great place to not be afraid! I have to say, their bathroom was SPOTLESS and smelled AMAZING!! Can't wait to try something else. Stick a Fork in me, I'm done!

So i'm not that impressed with Wild Fork. Folks seem to rave about it but i went in expecting more of a butcher style approach and in reality everything is frozen. Some of the stuff well over a year ago...i'm sure it is all fine but a few things i looked at were packaged a very long time ago...and prices were pretty high given that Lazy Acres, Gelsons and Whole Foods are close by. Yes, they have every meat imaginable. Yes, it's a bright new store. Yes, there's a ton of parking in this Target lot. Yes, all the staff were helpful But i just don't see how this lasts. I'm planning to do a ribeye challenge between Manhattan Meats (fresh cut) and Wild Fork to see which tastes better. I'll report back. For now I'm skeptical.

Great presentation, Great selection, well merchandised and prices seemed reasonable. Didn't buy anything on this trip, but certainly will on our next trip to this area.

If you love great meat, a seriously good burger and a gourmet market you can easily get lost in,…read moreThe Butchery in Manhattan Beach needs to be on your South Bay food list. The Butchery is part premium butcher shop, part gourmet market and part "I only came in for one thing and somehow bought dinner for the weekend." The meat cases are filled with gorgeous steaks, chops, roasts, sausages and beautifully marbled cuts that will make you immediately reconsider whatever you were planning to cook for dinner. And you can tell that quality is the whole point here. The cuts are beautiful, the selection is impressive, and the people behind the counter actually know their meat. This is definitely not a grab-a-random-steak-and-hope-for-the-best situation. Then there's the gourmet market. This is where things get dangerous. Specialty foods, cheeses, sauces, seasonings, pantry finds and all kinds of gourmet goodies you didn't know you needed until approximately three seconds after seeing them. The quality of the beef makes all the difference. It's incredibly flavorful with those crispy, caramelized smashed edges, then topped with perfectly melted white American cheese and garlic aioli. So yes, go to The Butchery in Manhattan Beach for the premium meats and gorgeous steaks. Go for the gourmet market and all the things you didn't know you needed.

Usually I buy my meats from grocery stores-- whether it's 99 Ranch, Heart, Lazy Acres, Sprouts,…read moreTokyo Central, Ralphs, Walmart-- I've been to them all! When the Butchery opened up a couple of years ago, I was curious. It took about 6 months after opening for me to step in. At first impression, I thought the store to be clean, organized, and just gives you the confidence that you're about to get some of the freshest, cleanest, and most high quality meats out there. I didn't buy anything though, instead, I ordered The Butchery Burger with a side of fries to go. In a world that is consumed by smashed burgers, the Butchery Burger is a restaurant quality burger, with a nice thick juicy patty. The burger bun was soft, pillowy, and sweet-- paired with some fresh arugula and tomatoes to cut the richness of that juicy beef patty. The burger comes with a side of beef tallow fries. Speaking of fries-- those beef tallow fries are some of the best I've ever had. Have you ever had a McDonald fry, where the end is a cubed, stubby nubbin. The texture is super crunchy, shatter-crisp, and golden brown. Now imagine that -- but instead of just the end piece, but rather a whole fry-- every single fry. It's salty, crispy, deliciousness with the warm buttery smell of beef tallow. Mmmm... simple perfection! ** Note, I'm sure these are likely one of the most unhealthy fries, but we all have to treat ourselves some time!*** All that on just the Butchery Burger and its fries. It was so good, I had to go back for more-- my 2nd time around, I got the smashed burger. The smashed burger was just as delicious as the Butchery Burger-- just very different. Since the burger came with grilled onions w/ cheese and a nice thick spread of garlic aioli, make sure to add pickles to your pickle to cut through some of that richness and decadence. Upon first bite, it didn't occur to me that the spread was garlic aioli; I actually thought it was a ton of mayo. But it had a garlic and oniony flavor with a bit of sweetness that left me confused and perplexed. I had to keep going back for more. Besides the smash burger, I also grabbed some frozen oxtail and some Argentine shrimp. everything looked super fresh and I can't wait to cook them up! The Butchery is definitely worth a trip-- even if you're not coming for the meat, check it out for the hot foods-- w/ the burgers and fries being the first item to try. You won't regret it!

We had heard wonderful things about the restaurant, and after our experience, I can honestly say it exceeded every expectation. Because of our travel schedule, our only opportunity to visit was during lunch on the same day we had to catch a flight home across the country. From the moment we made our reservation to the moment we walked out the door, everything about our experience was exceptional. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a wonderful corner location and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The service was terrific, and the food was outstanding. The four of us ordered a variety of dishes to share, and everything was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Each dish felt thoughtfully prepared, and there was something special about being able to enjoy such a memorable meal together on an important day for our family. But what truly sets Fishing With Dynamite apart isn't just the food or the atmosphere -- it's the people. Every interaction we had with the staff was wonderful. From making the reservation, to our waitress who took such great care of us, to the servers who brought our food and drinks, everyone was friendly, attentive, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure we had a great experience. And then something happened that took that feeling to an entirely different level. After we finished our meal, I accidentally left a small bag at the restaurant as we headed to the airport. I didn't realize it until we were already at LAX, sitting at the gate and preparing to board our flight home. My heart sank when I realized what had happened. The items inside -- AirPods, Beats headphones, an external battery pack, an expensive pair of sunglasses, and other things -- were replaceable, but a few of them were gifts and had sentimental value to me. Given that we were already at the airport, I had pretty much accepted that I would never see the bag again. My wife contacted Fishing With Dynamite, explained what had happened, and the staff immediately went to work trying to help. We were put back in touch with the waitress who had served us, and incredibly, she remembered us and was able to locate the bag. We offered to pay for shipping and for the inconvenience of someone having to take the package to the post office. Instead, later that day, the general manager reached out to us personally and assured us that they would be happy to ship everything back to us promptly -- and, even more incredibly, they wouldn't accept a penny from us for doing it. That gesture meant far more to me than simply getting my belongings back. In a world where customer service can sometimes feel transactional, the people at Fishing With Dynamite reminded me that there are still genuinely caring people who are willing to go out of their way to help someone simply because it's the right thing to do. We went to Fishing With Dynamite expecting a great lunch. We left with an incredible meal, wonderful memories from our anniversary trip, and an experience with a group of people that I will genuinely never forget. The food is fantastic. The restaurant is beautiful. The service is excellent. But most importantly, the people who work here truly care about their customers, and they proved it by going far beyond what anyone could reasonably expect.
